Konig frowned a little bit as he watched Raven move across the room and pick up the pocket watch. It was strange that she'd want something that had hurt her so much but he put it out of his mind. If she wanted to keep it, for whatever reason, then who was he to deny her? It was a part of her past after all,

"Only as far as you let him be." he replied quietly as he continued to examine the room, "I assume he's dead?"

He ran his hand along the cold stone of the wall as Raven spoke. She wasn't speaking in proper sentances. It might be because it was too painful. It might be because she wanted to be clear but not dwell on the memories too much. He paused when she mentioned a woman,

"A woman?" he whispered quietly, "Before all of this or during it? If it is before... well she might have been your mother."

He looked up at her as she examined the chair. She seemed to be lost in memories, her face was scrunched up as she tried to remember something. It seemed that her mind still had blocks on some of her memories,

"He made you and the others fight... why?" he stopped and thought about it, "It sounds like... like he was trying to create something. Like the dead children were all some sick version of trial and error...!"

Raven shook her head and looked at Konig for the first time since she had entered the room, she looked like a scared child, unsure and hoping that she would be able to find some little source of comfort from being brave enough to come in here.

"I know not. I hope so. Fire..."

Pointing to the room there were several spots where the stone had been burnt away, charcoaled by the flames that had once been there.

Raven snorted and shook her head. That woman wasn't her mother. She didn't know who her mother was. But she had liked the lady, she was sad when she had died, when she had seen her ghost for the first time. It had made her murderous.

"No. Lady was his wife. Had the children she did. Died..."

Shaking her head Raven clutched her head in her hands and remembered the small ring, surrounded by other children. Rock or stick. Which one? The rock was her favourite. Glancing at Konig Raven smiled shakily.

"Yes Raven won. Beat all. Best fighter in Germany. We were made to kill, knew nothing else."
