Lesson One - Second Years
Cobalt was sat at his desk, feeling rather bored. It was to be expected after all. He'd gone from globe-trotting holidays with his daughter one week to spending his days cooped up in an office or a classroom the next so, understandably, he was bored.
Sighing a little bit, Cobalt wrote the title of today's lesson on the board.
Assassination.

Sam smiled as she walked toward the infiltration class she sighed and she gave the professor a small smile " Good Morning Professor" Sam said and she sat down in the back of the class room.
Sam saw Assianition on the borad and she smiled she wondered who all was going to show up, Sam shrugged and looked at the ground.

Infiltration Classroom :: Lesson One - Second Years
Feeling tired, Teresa dragged her feet to the class. Then she saw Professor's expression of boredom and a smile grew on her face. She quickly sat down as she began planning something she might or might not execute.

Re: Lesson One - Second Years
Cobalt sighed silently, the slightly higher rise in his chest as he inhaled the only indication that he'd done so at all. Closing his eyes, he called upon his rather limited wandless abilities. Breathing out slowly, Cobalt locked onto Keiba before blurring into motion.
Faster than any of the children could hope to react, Cobalt flew across the room, slamming his right hand palm first in the centre of Sam's chest. Out of Sam's back, a bloody blade burst out, showering the desk behind her with blood. Thankfully for the other students the desk behind Keiba was empty. But Sam now appeared to have a small blade straight through her.
It was, of course, a lie.
The blade, the blood and the wound disappeared as if they had never existed. The reason why? Because they had never existed. It had all been a very elaborate illusion, the only piece of illusionary magic Cobalt could perform wandlessly and silently. So all Sam had for her morning greeting was a slightly sore chest and one hell of a scare. Taking his hand away, Cobalt popped out a real wrist blade, cutting the desk with it to show that it was real,
"Good morning Miss Hawthorne." he returned her greeting with a small smirk as he used a pain numbing charm on where he'd hit her, "There won't be a bruise, don't worry."
Popping the wrist blade away again, Cobalt moved over to the board and tapped it, just bellow the word 'Assassination',
"Who can tell me the most important element of a successful assassination?"

Sam before her mind could register what happened the Professor had stabbed her it scared Sam when she realized it was just an illusion she sighed she honestly thought he had stabbed her.
Sam heard it wouldn't leave a bruise she nodded than she heard the question and she raised her hand slightly " Don't get caught?" Sam asked.

Re: Lesson One - Second Years
Damien was running late for infiltration class and knew it because of the scene he had walked into Sam getting something rammed through her which of course was not real.
He stood in the back of the classroom and was glad it was not him this time, he learned you always have to be on guard when you walk into his class.
Damien heard his question " Element of surprise." Damien knew this all too well from last year.

Xander followed Damien into the classroom, keeping his senses open for an attack. He wasn't exactly fond of the professor, but respected his expertise in the subject. In this field, he figured that meant more.
Hearing Damien's answer, he took a seat and raised his hand. "Making it look like an accident?"
He didn't know anything first hand about assassination, but had heard stories from family members.

Re: Lesson One - Second Years
Cobalt smiled a little bit. Seemed this class had paid attention last year if they were already throwing out some good suggestions. He chuckled at Sam's answer,
"Not neccessarily Sam." he shook his head at Xander, "Not all of the time either Mr Clarke. What happens when you want to send a really public message? You make it obvious that the person was assassination. Good for the fear factor."
Cobalt grinned and spun around on the spot, pointing his hand with the hidden blade under it in Damien's direction. The hidden blade activated, flying from it's home to embed itself in the wood of Damien's desk. He chuckled a little bit as he retreived it,
"I could have just as easily taken Damien out there." he told his class honestly, "And none of you would have been able to do a thing... why? Because, as Damien has said, surprise is key. Five points to Slytherin."
He paused for a second,
"You have to kill someone at a party. It's very crowded and the person is well guarded." he looked over his class, "You have to kill the target without being seen, let alone caught, so what do you do?"

Re: Lesson One - Second Years
Damien actually thought about this, it reminded him of what happened in the shack at the end of the year.
"Distractions work really well sometimes when you don't want anyone to see you. Like having someone run into danger because they think they can save the day." Damien had to smirk thinking about what Parker had done.

Cobalt nodded. Seemed that Damien knew his stuff. He pointed to the Slytherin boy,
"Correct, five points to Slytherin." he moved to the board and wrote the word 'distraction'. He underlined it twice, "A distraction is a key part of any infiltration. If your enemy's attention is focused elsewhere you are much less likely to come down with a sudden case of death. Or even a very slow and painful one."
He paused for a second before thinking of something,
"Give me an example of a spell that can be used as a distraction. Each potentially useful spell you suggest, with context, will earn your house five points. Go."

Re: Lesson One - Second Years
Xander raised his hand. He had overheard some third years talking about what they were learning in DADA and thought it would be applicable.
"You could use Bombarda. Either as a small explosion in another place to distract everyone away from the mark, or as a large explosion to actually directly kill the mark."
