Coffee (Cobie and Lolita) Empty Coffee (Cobie and Lolita)

Cobalt arrived in front of Lolita's door with a small amount of nerves. Of course he was actually very, very, nervous but he was kidding himself into thinking that he wasn't. He'd reserved a table at The Three Broomsticks during their busy lunchtime period for their coffee and light lunch. Not only that but he'd brought along a book he'd been meaning to donate to the library. Taking a deep breath he knocked on the door.

Lolita heard the knock on her door and she opened it with a smile, motioning for him to stay there she slipped on her scruffy beige timberland boots and pulled on her coat, grabbed her keys and shut the door behind her as she hurried out of the house.

"Hey Cobalt, sorry about that."

Gesturing to the street Lolita smiled softly, her cheeks already pink with the cold but she didn't mind, the cold was numbing to her and she liked that.

"Where are we off?"

Lolita saw the look on Cobalts face and she felt her smile dim a little bit, why was he so nervous? They were just friends going out for coffee, unless he thought...

"Don't look so scared." she joked

Cobalt waited patiently as he was told to and simply shrugged it off when she apologised. It would teach him to be early. Also it wasn't exactly a problem now was it? He smiled,

"Don't worry about it." he replied easily, his nerves wearing off, "I was a bit early anyway."

He smiled down at her as he lead her through the streets of Hogsmeade. The Three Broomsticks wasn't anywhere special but at the same time it had good coffee and a comsy atmosphere. The best place for two friends to get a drink of coffee,

"Just to the Three Broomsticks." he told her with a smile, "They have very nice coffee and comfortable corner booths."

He chuckled a little and scratched the back of his head. Without really looking at her, he presented the old book to her,

"Well I got you this... didn't know if you would want it or anything..." he smiled again, "It's a first edition of The Picture of Dorian Grey."

Coffee (Cobie and Lolita) Empty Re: Coffee (Cobie and Lolita)

Post by Guest Wed Dec 07, 2011 7:13 am

As she was lead through the streets of Hogsmeade Lolita wondered if she was finally going to sample one of the pubs here in Britain, she hadn't been to one since she had gotten here so it would be an experience to her.

"I've never been there before, it's very new to me everything here..."

Lolita thought the sound of the place was more of a cafe not a pub but didn't disagree, shed never been after all.

"It sounds lovely!"

With that she stopped when Cobalt did, he looked nervous, and she bit her lip, and waited for whatever it was that Cobalt was giving her, and she smiled happily, taking the book and holding it to her like something precious.

"You got this book for the schools collection? How gracious of you!"

Cobalt looked at her with a small smile. He knew that would change rather quickly. The Three Broomsticks was a staple for both teachers and students. He smiled down at her,

"Well you'll soon come to enjoy it there." he told her happily, "The Three Broomsticks is favoured by students and professors."

The way her face lit up when he gave her to book made Cobalt smile wider and happier. It really made him happy that he could get such a reaction. He chuckled lightly,

"Well I got it for you actually." he told her with a small smile, "To do with as you will."

Guiding her a little more, Cobalt held the door open to the cosy and warm interior of the Three Broomsticks. He smiled and led her over to a free corner booth,

"The coffee here really is delicious."

Lolita smiled, she hoped that here she would make many more friends now she had managed to escape the claws of her parents for a while, but eventually they would come after her with more suitors and more talk of marriage.

"Well then, I am bound to like it!"

With that Lolita bit her lip and smiled slightly, she slipped the book in her bag and she made sure that it wasn't going to get hurt by anything, she patted it and smiled gratefully at Cobalt.

"Thank you Cobalt, I'll take good care of it I promise."

Lolita walked into the pub and she spied the free corner booth also, moving over to it with Cobalt and sitting opposite him with a small, uncertain smile on her face, it was strange in here, yet cosy, and she nodded slightly.

"Then a coffee I shall have! Do they do food here? A soup or something?"

He smiled back at her quite happily but he could tell that something was bothering her. Her body language was stiff. It was as if she was afraid of something. Afraid of him? No. Afraid of making friends? Perhaps,

"Well let's hope so!"

Cobalt scratched the back of his head as he grinned happily at her. The way she bit her lip like that was so cute after all. He smiled back at her happily,

"Thanks Lolita." he replied, "It's one of my favourite books so I'd like it to be alright. One of the reasons I'm giving it to you."

He smiled a little but noticed that she was a little bit nervous. He smiled reassuringly,

"Don't worry Lolita, this is a very friendly place." he smiled a bit more, "Coffee for two then. As for food, they have some soups and some lovely toasted sandwhiches."

As the barmaid came over, Cobalt smiled,

"Hi, can we get two cups of coffee." he turned to Lolita, "According to the board the soup of the day is vegetable. There are loads of others if you'd like to make your choice."

Coffee (Cobie and Lolita) Empty Re: Coffee (Cobie and Lolita)

Post by Guest Wed Dec 07, 2011 7:54 am

When Cobalt told her that it was one of his favourite books Lolita nodded vigerously, she would take even more care of it now that she knew that and she activated the waterproof charm on her bag while she was sat down at the table.

"Don't worry, im a Librarian, if I harm a book it's worse than death."

Winking at Cobalt playfully Lolita turned shy again and she looked at the wood of the table as the waitress came over and as Cobalt ordered the coffee Lolita nodded in agreement, that that was indeed what she had wanted.

"Uhm, Tomato soup please."

Lolita asked quietly and the waitress nodded before moving away with their orders and Lolita relaxed a bit more, smiling at Cobalt gently, she wondered what to say and she decided it would be best to start of simple.

"So how have you been Cobalt?"

Cobalt, being a master of charms, noticed the change in the bag and noted that it was a protective charm. He wasn't able to tell anything else from it however so he just decided to trust Lolita to protect the book,

"Hehe... yeah well let's hope neither of those happen."

Cobalt grinned at the playful wink she gave him and smiled a little at how shy she became once again. He smiled as she ordered the tomato soup. He'd heard that it was good but he, personally, had an intense dislike of the food itself. He smiled back at her, just as gently. He chuckled lightly at the question,

"Quite busy actually." he told her happily, "Lots of lesson plans and such. You?"

Coffee (Cobie and Lolita) Empty Re: Coffee (Cobie and Lolita)

Lolita saw Cobalts smile and she smiled back, briefly, waiting for their drinks Lolita looked carefully at Cobalt while they waited, the sounds from the rest of the pub filling the momentary silence that flooded the conversation.

"You have been? Huh, how many lessons have you got planned out so far then?"

With that she shrugged slightly, tapping her fingers gently on the table, a soft smile on her face as she thought about her answer.

"Up and down."

Lolita smiled softly, a tad wider and said:

"I'm making friends. Which is nice."

Cobalt was enjoying the silence a little bit, it wasn't as awkward as he thought it would be. He smiled at her question. It had taken him absolutely ages to actually come up with his lesson plans,

"Well I've got about half of the year's lessons sorted out." he explained with a happy smile, "It's a relief to know I can relax a little bit you know?"

He chuckled at her first answer before smiling at her second answer, the real one if he had to guess. He could tell that making friends was high on her priority list and that was good,

"Good!" he replied happily, "You're a likable person after all."

The food and coffee was served and Cobalt took a second to just breathe the smells in deeply. He sighed happily as he exhaled. The food all smelt lovely and well cooked. He sipped at his coffee and grinned,

"See?" he asked with a grin, "Great coffee."

Lolita smiled happily, she was glad that she hadn't taken the position of Professor, although it would be nice to teach children, she just wasnt very good with people, and so there would be awkward moments of silence in the class.

"That's great! Im sure they'll be just fine, and the students will love them! What sorts of things are you planning to teach?"

As the food came Lolita grinned and sniffed her soup, it really did smell wonderful, and she got a growl in her stomach just from sniffing it, raising the wooden spoon to her lips she sighed happily as the warm soup entered her stomach.

"Ahhh that is a good bowl of soup, I'm not really a big coffee drinker but it smells nice."

Taking up the coffee she sipped it and grinned:

"I'm going to be hyper for the rest of the day. I do warn you."
