Unexpected Problem

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia was at a complete loss at what to do about everything, she needed one of the only people in the school that seemed to be her friend. Briony and Lucia were the only two people that she seemed to be able to communicate with. It had been awhile since they had gotten together but everyone had been pretty busy with everything going on.

Lucia had been taking care of kids in the hospital wing, and Briony had been really busy with a new baby. Sofia had been so happy for her because at that point she could not remember what it was like to have children, but now with her returned memories so remembered a lot of things.

The thing that bothered Sofia the most was she was not more upset than she was. She should be screaming and hollering but that was not what she was doing. What was wrong with her, it was like her emotions were just gone. She really just needed to talk to someone and she hoped that Briony was in her office.

Sofia had made the trek to the Headmistress's office and knocked on the door, she really felt bad to bother her and if it was not a good time she would come back another time.

Briony looked at Raven in her cot.
Raven looked at Briony.
It seemed like it was a sort of stand off, and Briony was silently praying for the child not to start crying. There was something in her large eyes that said that she was going to, and she would be right.

A few moments after she had thought that very idea, Raven began to scream and Briony sighed, getting up from the chair she walked over to her picked her up and started to stroke her hair, soothing her lightly, by kissing her forehead while tickling her tummy lightly.

Hearing a knock at her door, Briony supported Raven's head as she cradled her in one arm, opening the door with a flick of her wand and seeing Sofia, smiling lightly, she beckoned for her to come inside.

"Oh Sofia, please come in." she smiled "It's been a long while, how have you been keeping?"

Sofia was usually a very strong woman when it came to everything, but currently she did not feel very strong. When the Headmistress opened the door and asked her to come on in Sofia casual walked in looking at the ground, turning ever so slightly to close the door behind her.

Walking up to the desk she had yet to notice the Headmistress holding her new baby girl and when Sofia looked up and saw her with the baby she started to cry.

Sofia walked over to the chair that was sitting in front of the Headmistress's desk,

"Well I have not been keeping as well as I would like." Sofia was staring at the ground using a tissue she had just conjured to wipe her eyes.

"It has been a really hard couple of weeks. First with Anne and her issues, and now I just got some disturbing news."

Sofia hated to bring sadness into an office that seem to have such happiness.

Briony could tell straight away that there was something not quite right with her old friend, and that there was something that she had come here to tell her for definate, not just a pop in for a friendly chat and a look at the new baby.

Waiting patiently for Sofia to begin to tell her what it is that was wrong with her, Briony rocked Raven to and fro in her arms, now that she had stopped crying.

"I can see that, you don't seem to be your usual self that's for sure, I had been meaning to ask you what was wrong." she said with a small smile.

A little surprised when Sofia started to cry, Briony shuffled a bit closer, and she watched as Raven fixed Sofia with her large dark blue eyes, that had not yet begun to change their colour.

"I don't think little Raven wants you to cry." she said gently "What's this news that you speak of? It must be something big to have made you react in such a way, you had been coping so well with everything."
