It's alive! (Open)

[Frank Stein]

"Bum-bumpa-dum," Frank mumbled a tune to himself as he moved around his newly set up laboratory in one of the abandoned towers of Hogwarts. It was so nice of the Headmistress to give him this tower to use for his experiments.

In the middle of the room sat Junior in his wheelchair-like operating table, strapped down tightly. Frank was skipping over to him, hooking two copper wires to Junior's chest. These wires were leading out of the window, up to the very top of the tower.

Rumbling was heard in the distance, and Frank clapped his hands, running over to the window to see lightning flashing far, far away, accompanied five seconds later by a loud rumble. "Five kilometers away..." Frank muttered to himself, sticking a finger into his mouth to wet it and then holding it out. "And the wind is blowing this way..."

Giving off a mad cackle, Frank skipped over to Junior, patting the corpse on the head. "Soon, my boy. Soon... you will have life... Dum-dee-doo-dee-dum-dum..." he sang as he moved restlessly around the lab. Footsteps were heard, accompanied by the opening of the door, and Frank looked up, grinning. "Here to watch me make history?"

Briony had heard, as she always had done, that there was something going on with Frank, she knew that he was intent on making something but she didn't know that it would be so soon, she was glad however that he had chosen to do so before the term began.

She didn't think that she could explain this away to the Ministry if small children started to go missing on a regular basis.

Climbing up to the abandoned tower, that had recently had the invisibility charm removed from it and she opened the door swiftly, looking around the room and at the sight of what was in here, and the smell, Briony grimaced slightly.

No doubt this man was intelligent. But she might have just figured out where the smell that Richard kept complaining about was coming from.

"Frank."

She nodded stiffly.

"I am indeed, here, to see what you have been up to in my school, I wish you luck that this experiment works for you."

[Frank Stein]

"Frank."

"Headmistress!" Frank greeted warmly with a wide grin on his face. He had been hoping it was Lolita, as he had sent her her letter, but the Headmistress was better than no one. It would be good for Junior to have people around him when he woke up. "Welcome to my humble lab!"

"I am indeed, here, to see what you have been up to in my school, I wish you luck that this experiment works for you."

"What I have been up to..." Frank repeated slowly, his eyes alight with excitement. "For the last three years, I have been working... on this..." he said as he walked over to Junior and gestured for him. "A completely healthy brain, which needed a body... I have been working for three years, finding the right bones, the right organs, the right tissue, all for this..."

Frank's grin, if possible, went even wider as he looked at the Headmistress again. "Today... I create life!"

[Briony Romain]

Briony couldn't help but enjoy the mans enthusiasm and she went over to look at the body in front of her and she bit her lip softly, it looked like it was something like a raggedy anne doll but male, yet, it must hace taken so long to get all the muscles working together...

"It's certainly an innovation. I'm sure that you have thought about what you'll do with him after his creation of course?"

Moving back to lean against one of the walls Briony smiled again, it really was nice to see the man so excited about something, if only he could transfer that into healing people rather than dissecting them open...

"You're so excited, it's strange, you're not normally one to strike me as a giddy person."

Briony sighed again,

"And then again it's not every day your work becomes reality, you've worked hard over the years."

Lolita had literally just gotten Frank's letter and she gasped, sitting up from reading and she grabbed her dressing gown and rushed up to the tower that he had recently made his laboratory, it was probably a good thing so that he didn't terrify his students anymore.

Out of breath, she paused for a moment to catch it half way up the stairs, swooping her hair back from her face she continued to run full pelt into the laboratory at the top of the tower, knocking on the door before opening it swiftly and all but falling in.

"I'm here...I got it! I got your letter!"

She panted, bent double trying to get her breath back, standing up straight she smiled widely and moved forwards to look at the full and completed body of Junior on the lab table.

"So, this is it isn't it? How exciting."

Lolita felt embarrassed as she looked at Headmistress Briony and bowed slightly:

"Forgive me, I didn't know you were here Headmistress."

[Frank Stein]

"It's certainly an innovation. I'm sure that you have thought about what you'll do with him after his creation of course?" The Headmistress asked as she looked over Junior. Without a doubt, to her he didn't look so handsome, but to Frank, he was the most beautiful boy in the world. It was probably a parent thing...

"No, actually, I haven't," Frank said, shaking his head as he took another look out the window when the lightning flashed once more. "I am going to leave it up to Junior, once he gets settled in. After all, it would be unfair to choose his purpose for him."

"You're so excited, it's strange, you're not normally one to strike me as a giddy person," the Headmistress said. "And then again it's not every day your work becomes reality, you've worked hard over the years."

"Indeed I have," Frank said with a nod. "It has been very hard, finding musculature of the same size, organs of the same blood, not to mention how it all had to be magical... It has been a hard three years."

Just then, the door burst open, and Lolita almost tripped inside, no doubt just as excited as Frank was. "I'm here...I got it! I got your letter!" Frank smiled back at her as she looked over Junior. "So, this is it isn't it? How exciting."

"Yes. Soon, he will open his eyes," Frank said as Lolita apologized to the Headmistress for whatever reason.

Lolita turned from bowing to the Headmistress and moved over to Frank, smiling broadly and jumping slightly at the thunder and lightning, she had never done very well with storms but she had thought that it would be best to come and support her friend...yeah.

Moving over to look at Junior, she smiled softly and wondered just how different Frank would be to him than to everyone else, he was his father after all.

"Oooooh this is so exciting."

She had to restrain herself from jumping all over the place, Lolita couldn't wait to see this, so she didn't know how excited Frank must feel.

"Will he able able to talk, or will you have to teach him? And the same with writing!"

Lolita turned to Frank and placed a thoughtful finger on her lips.

"Will he attend Hogwarts do you think?"

Briony simply looked at Lolita as she emerged into the room and she smiled lightly at her apology, nodding her head towards her slightly as a motion for her to go and talk to Frank like she had come here to do.

It seemed that the rumours were correct, if Lolita's enthusiasm was anything to go by, she was in on this before Briony was, but also, there was the whispers of something else going on between those two and it would be intruiging if not strange to see it develop.

"If Frank clears it with me then he can."

Briony nodded towards the Healer, she needed to know that this invention of his was stable, and that he wouldn't cause disruption to her staff or students unless they wanted to be involved with him.

[Frank Stein]

"Oooooh this is so exciting." Frank was glad to see that Lolita was just as excited about this as he was. She looked like she was visibly restraining herself from jumping with excitement. "Will he able able to talk, or will you have to teach him? And the same with writing!"

"I don't know!" Frank said happily. "That's the exciting part! We have no idea what will happen once that bolt of lightning hits him!"

"Will he attend Hogwarts do you think?"

Briony the Headmistress told Lolita that it was alright so long as Frank cleared it with her, but Frank wasn't going to decide anything beforehand. He was going to let Junior decide. "That, my dear, is all up to Junior."

[Briony Romain]

Briony chuckled dryly and she looked between Frank and Lolita, both of them looked like this was a very weird version of Christmas, and she bit her lip as she watched over the two of them, it was kind of sweet the way that they were totally in tune with each other about Junior.

Weird. But cute.

With that Briony raised her eyebrow as Frank told her that it was up to Junior to decide. It would be something new, letting the created decide rather the creator, it bodes well for their relationship, she had a friend which illustrated the exact opposite of that.

"That's very gracious of you, I'll look forward to hearing his decision when he wakes."

[Guest]

Lolita leant against a wall, jumping again when she heard the thunder and lightning and that part of her wishing it would just hurry up and happen, but the biggest part of her was excited because she wanted to see just what was going to happen.

"Ooh! That is going to be truly amazing to find out! I hope he can talk! I want to say hello! And...and things like that!"

Biting her lip she grinned happily and as Frank said it was up to Junior Lolita remembered when he had told her that he was going to let him make all of his own choices in comparison to just forcing him, it was one of the things she liked about Frank.

"That's lovely of you, if he wants to, he's welcome to visit me and help in the library...oh what am I telling you this for! I'll just tell him!"

Lolita looked outside and jumped once more at the lightning:

"How long Frank?"

"Ooh! That is going to be truly amazing to find out! I hope he can talk! I want to say hello! And...and things like that!"

Frank laughed at Lolita's enthusiasm, which matched his own, as thunder clapped again. One kilometer away now, and approaching fast. Oh, this was so exciting, Frank could barely contain himself, as demonstrated as he lit a cigarette with a shaky hand.

"That's lovely of you, if he wants to, he's welcome to visit me and help in the library...oh what am I telling you this for! I'll just tell him!"

"That's very gracious of you, I'll look forward to hearing his decision when he wakes."

Gracious? Frank had been called a lot of things in his life, most of them things not suited for a child to hear, but gracious was not one of them. It felt... weird...

"How long Frank?"

"Oh, it shouldn't be long now," Frank said, listening intently for any thunder. "You might want to grab a pair of protective goggles from that counter there," he said, gesturing for a counter behind him, upon which lay three pairs of what looked like welding goggles. "They'll protect you from the flash of the lightning."

Not long now... Not long at all. "You know, I-" Frank was interrupted as a bright flash lit up the room, accompanied by an almost ear-shattering boom, which left Frank's ears ringing. Lightning had struck the copper conductor on the top of the tower!

Blinking to clear his eyes, which had been temporarily blinded, Frank saw Junior's fingers twitch...

Lolita smiled happily, it looked like he was getting more and more excited from the shaking of his cigarette in his hand, and she almost wanted to hug him.

"Okay then, I want to keep my sight intact after all."

When Frank told her that she might need a pair of protective goggles Lolita rushed over to the table and picked up a pair, barely pushing them in front of her eyes a large flash and peel of thunder made Lolita squeak unhappily and duck her head.

The ringing in her ears was horrible and Lolita whimpered softly.

Slowly it cleared and she opened her eyes, taking the goggles off her head, and with bated breath she looked over at Junior's table, he moved. He moved!! He was alive.

"Oh my god Frank! You did it!! You did it!"

Lolita rushed over to him and hugged him tightly kissing his cheek.

For him, life started with a bright flash and a great pain jolting through his spine. His eyes were too heavy to open, his arms and legs too heavy to lift, but he did manage to move his fingers. It was so hard to move, yet he dearly desired to do so.

His whole body felt completely unfamiliar, yet at the same time it felt right for him, like it was made specifically for him. He had so much knowledge, such a thought process, that he couldn't possibly be an infant. In fact, how did he know what an infant was? How did he know all these things, when everything before now was all black in his mind?

"Oh my god Frank! You did it!! You did it!" he heard a voice cry, and slowly, his eyes opened to take a look around him. He was in a lab of some sort. There were three people there, two women and a man. One of the women was hugging the man...

"Who..." Junior croaked in an unfamiliar voice that he had never used before. "Who am I?"

[Briony Romain]

Briony stayed where she was, and at the mention od the lightning and protecting herself from it all she did was blink once and the shadows covered her eyes making her temporarily blind but of course the thunder deafened her for a moment and she winced with the pain, but, eventually she pulled herself together and she straightened up.

Well, well then, it appears the other rumours are true as well. However odd it might be, it was of course a personal thing.

Looking past them Briony stared at the creature, now a man, moving slightly and appearing to wake up, it could talk? That was something new, she had expected him to be able to move and maybe blink a bit but she had never expected him to speak.

"Interesting, simply amazing."

[Guest]

Lolita gasped and she broke from hugging Frank, keeping her hand on his shoulders as she looked around to see Junior, awake, talking, and she was surprised that Frank hadn't thrown her aside to go and hold his son yet.

But before he did she grinend happily and quickly pressed her lips to his before rushing over to stand, at a respectable distance, from Junior, waiting for Frank to speak to him, after all, it was his son, so he should speak to him first but she just couldnt wait to speak to him.

Nodding softly at what Briony said Lolita merely looked at Junior, then at Frank, waiting.

[Frank Stein]

"Oh my god Frank! You did it!! You did it!"

Frank hardly even registered what happened, how Lolita hugged him, how she kissed him, what Briony said. Nothing registered, except for Junior. He was alive... After three years, he was finally alive! "Who..." Junior started, making Frank's eyes widen. So, he could talk? "Who am I?"

Slowly, Frank moved over to Junior, a grin slowly growing on his face. "You are Frank En Stein Junior," he said. He felt compelled to put En as his middle name. "I am Frank Stein, your father. I created you. This is Lolita Bradshaw," he continued, gesturing for Lolita, then Briony. "And that's Briony Romain."

Frank could hardly believe it. Three years of work had finally paid off! Giving a whoop, Frank started dancing around the lab, his arms raised in the air. "You're alive! You are alive, you're alive, you're alive!" he chanted happily, almost happy enough to do backflips. He didn't, though.

Lolita couldn't help but smile broadly as Frank added the 'En' to Juniors name, sure it was a play on one of her favourite books but that was also shoeing that Frank saw the funny side to when he normally hated being referenced to that book.

When she was introduced to him Lolita felt her smile grow further and she stepped forward as Frank started to run and dance around the laboratory, she made a note to remember this day, it would probably be the happiest shed see him.

Bowing respectfully to Junior Lolita smiled:

"Hello, im Lolita like Frank said, but you can call me Lol if you would like."

With that Lolita hesitated slightly before pecking Junior on the cheek, it was going to be so strange to have Junior around now, maybe Frank will stay happy? She didn't know. Lolita just wanted to have things continue as they were. But now with Junior in the mix.

"Hehe, Frank I've never seen you so happy, do...do you want me to go? So you know...can bond and stuff?" she asked politely

[Frank Stein Jr.]

"You are Frank En Stein Junior," the man with the bolt through his head said, looking very happy. "I am Frank Stein, your father. I created you. This is Lolita Bradshaw," he continued, pointing at the blond girl, then over at the black-haired woman. "And that's Briony Romain."

"Hello, im Lolita like Frank said, but you can call me Lol if you would like," the blond girl, Lolita, said with a small bow, before she slowly moved over and kissed Junior on the cheek. A show of affection, right?

Suddenly, his father began to dance and whoop with joy, and Junior couldn't help but smile, his tense muscles working furiously to manage it. If his father was happy, then Junior was happy.

[Frank Stein]

"Hehe, Frank I've never seen you so happy, do...do you want me to go? So you know...can bond and stuff?"

Frank stopped his little happy dance and looked at Lolita, a bit conflicted. "Well, I'd rather you didn't, but it would be best for Junior if you did. We need some alone time so that I can get him up to speed on everything that has happened..."

He hummed and turned the bolt in his head twice. "If you decide to leave, I will send Junior to you soon, so that you two can bond as well. Headmistress, the same goes for you. If you wish to leave, then do so. But please put Junior as assisstant caretaker here at Hogwarts, so he'll have a reason to stay."

When Frank looked conflicted when she asked if he wanted her to go Lolita couldn't help but smile a little bit, after all, that meant that he wanted her to stay, it was only for Juniors sake that she was going, she wanted Junior to bond with Frank so they would be happy together.

"That's sweet Frank, but, I think if it's best for Junior then I might have to go, you won't miss me though you'll be having too much fun."

Lolita grinned happily and she nodded at Frank. She would love to get to know Junior better! It would be amazing to talk with him some more and get to know him a little better.

"Thank you, I'd love to have you Junior."

Bowing slightly to him, then in turn to the Headmistress Lolita smiled softly at Frank before pecking his lips shyly again, blushing as she moved towards the door at the side of the laboratory, well, that had gone well, she couldn't help but think.

"Ill see you soon Frank, you too Junior."

[Briony Romain]

Briony just observed, there were several problems that this creation could arise, and because it was her in charge they probably would do. Immediately she began to think about possible solutions to parents annoyed statements, students whines about it being weird and scary.

Snapping out of her thoughts as she was introduced Briony nodded her head at Junior with a stern look on her face.

"Assistant caretaker? Do you think that is wise. He will have to work with Scott Young, and you two don't exactly see eye to eye, I want no arguments between my staff."

As Lolita kissed Frank once more Briony smiled, ah, to be caught up in such an unconventional love must kill her sometimes. Waiting to hear Franks answer Briony made to leave, but waited for him to either reaffirm the position or ask to fill in a new one.

[Frank Stein]

"Thank you, I'd love to have you Junior." This time, it did register with Frank that Lolita kissed him, and it left him blinking owlishly at the girl, who headed for the door. "Ill see you soon Frank, you too Junior." Frank gave something akin to a hum, waving at Lolita as she left.

"Assistant caretaker? Do you think that is wise. He will have to work with Scott Young, and you two don't exactly see eye to eye, I want no arguments between my staff."

"Don't worry, I'm sure Junior will be able to avoid any arguments with that philistine," Frank said, waving Briony off. "Besides, he will probably mostly be working where Mr. Young isn't, meaning the Hospital Wing and here."

[Briony Romain]

As Briony was waved off from the tower she wasnt very happy about being dismissed in this manner and she sighed, she was tired and wanted to get back to her warm bed and her warm husband so she nodded and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Okay then, I'll personally hold him responsible if anything happens, just make a note of that."

And she moved out of the tower and down the stairs, back to her office.
