Entering the classroom she opened the curtains allowing air in and walked towards her desk. Waving her wand the words of the next lesson appeared.

'Education in Muggle World '

Xander walked quickly to class, making sure he wasn't late.

As he took his seat, saying "Good morning" to the professor, he was surprised to be the first one there. But in a way, he really wasn't. Some students may choose not to take this class out of familiarity with muggle life, or out of hatred for them. But Xander saw it as just another subject to learn. Except that this one could actually help him understand some of his fellow students.

He took out his materials and waited for class to start.

Entering the classroom he found himself to be tired. This year had been harder than the others, for one thing it seemed that he had to deal with Xander being more independent and going off on his own blowing off steam of some kind, leaving Luke to simply find how to entertain himself.

He didn't take it to heart and merely took it in stride knowing they were still family. But seeing the class empty, he sat beside Xander waiting for the lesson to begin.

Senium walked slowly into the classroom, one of her main worries since she had begun school after the last break was being able to get between classes in time, what with the crush in the corridors, it was hard to get from place to place on time.

Seeing that she was not late however, she blushed a little at the presence of the two boys and sat in a seat near the back of the classroom, so she might be able to leave the class should she need to go to the Hospital Wing again.

Seeing students arriving she'd figured she'd begin.

"Welcome to the class, today we will be learning about Muggle education. Now as you know, compared to the witch and wizard schooling system, there is an institution for the ages of eleven onward, and schooling prior to that relies on tutors" she explained.

Walking towards the board, she snapped her fingers and photographs appeared of different muggle institutions.

"Can anyone name one form of muggle education?" she asked.

Xander raised his hand. He had been reading a little out of their text book and remember part of this section.

"I think it mentioned the American schools running off of a system that had elementary and secondary levels. The text mentioned that they're usually in those levels from about 6 to 18 years old."

He was actually quite surprised that they had to go to school for so long. It seemed to take a lot of the educational decisions out of the parents' hands.

"Very good Mr. Clarke Ten points to Slytherin. Now as he said, in the American education system (there are many others world wide) education is mandatory from around the ages of 6 to 18. Often times the education can span more depending on the child and the parents economic status."

The projector then moved to a graph comparing education level and money made and showed how education affected them drastically.

"Unlike the Magical realm where if one wishes to avoid school they maybe tutored at home, school are mandatory. Do we have any questions?"

Luke raised his hand curiously, after all he knew the answer before, after reading books and books on the muggle world.

"Do they continue their education after the age of 18, why is that not mandatory?"
