Muggle Studies: All years Together

Merlin this class was getting smaller and smaller she realized. She sighed at the thought as she cleaned up the classroom. It was no use, the magical world often times found no need to learn about the Muggle Culture, but it didn't matter, after all, it was a good thing to take advantage of the students that did want to take the class.

Sitting down she waited for class to begin.

Well this is new He thought to himself as he saw that he was the one there and that it was a mixed class.

He sat down in his usual spot and grinned at the professor. She was a good teacher, and to him despite all her coldness, she was kind.

Victoria walked into the class and up to the professors desk. "Hello, Professor. I know it may seem stupid wanting to take this class as a muggleborn. But I really missed it last year. Do you mind if I still take it?"

She was keenly aware of Luke. His smell and his heart beat. He'd taken their talk very well and she hoped to continue it later.

Xander walked into class and was surprised to see Victoria there. Taking a seat next to Luke he winked at his cousin. Luke had been rather quiet about her since they met at the lake. Xander hadn't had the time to grill him for details yet.

He wasn't sure if he kept coming to this class out of a sympathetic fascination, or out of loyalty to his favorite teacher. Either way, he got his things around for class.

Tess was humming as she entered the classroom. She figured why not stay in a class that she actually didn't know squat about. Muggles were complicated, she learned this through Victoria's explanations of things that apparently were normal such as television.

As she saw who it was, she smiled shyly noticing that it seemed a bit coincidental. Sitting down in her usual seat she tried to play it cool while Victoria spoke to Professor Valentine.

Senium walked into thelesson and her mouth dried up a little bit she did not know that all the years were going to be in one class together and walking into a class full of scary older people was not her cup of tea.

Biting her lip she wished she knew someone in this lesson but itseemed as if Humphrey didn't take this class, and Leshia hadn't been seen in ages so she knew that she was probably dead.

Shuffling into the classroom with slight wince she managed to sit down at a desk the other side of the room to the other students, she was more than anxious for this lesson to be over.

Five students she thought shaking her head.

"Miss Rossmund, you will always have a seat in the class if you so please"

Well it seemed she would have to keep integrating the class because there was no point in making more classes if it was such a small group.

"Welcome, to another year of Muggle Studies. Can anyone tell me, what you've learned in your previous years of Muggle Studies before we get to today's lecture?"

Victoria murmured a "Thank you," to the professor.

Turning around, she noticed a young girl sitting off by herself. Smiling at her friends, she walked over to the young Ravenclaw, knowing they would understand. She remembered what it was like to be a muggleborn in a new world of witches and wizards. It was probably like what this girl was feeling, surrounded by third and fourth years.

Taking the seat next to her, she smiled at her and got her things out. After she heard the question, she raised her hand. "We've talked about education systems and transportation. You also gave Tess and I a project to learn some similarities between the wizard and muggle world." That had been lots of fun!

Tess raised a brow as Victoria abruptly got up. She trailed her gaze towards her until she realized she was sitting beside a girl she had never seen. She sent a flash of a smile towards her and moved one seat over so it wouldn't look too awkward.

After Victoria, she raised her hand smiling.

"I remember that we learned about Jobs in the Muggle Society and Education as well."

Angel smirked as he students answered, seems that they were paying attention. She knew that one had the advantage over the other, but it was nice that a pureblood managed to answer correctly.

"Good, ten points to both Gryffindor and Slytherin"

This would transition into the next subject of the week.

"Today we will be learning about Muggle Music" she said smiling. "Music, is just as important as music is to our magical society. In fact, music, has moved a lot of sociopolitical movements. Can anyone, based on the reading, tell me how music could affect society?"

Luke forced back a frown as he saw Victoria sitting away from him. That is until he realized what she was doing and smiled.

She's so sweet he thought to himself smiling.

He didn't want to get distracted, so he immediately raised his hand once hearing the question.

"The Civil Rights Movement in America?" he answered. "I say this because, people such as Bob Dylan wrote about the movement and supporting the cause causing people to sway towards change."

Xander couldn't help but laugh to himself. Finally. Mother's obsession pays off. She'd always had a fascination with muggle classical music.

He raised his hand. "Igor Stravinsky's Rite of Spring caused a great uproar in Paris when it was premiered." He knew that a lot of that commotion was due to the choreography, but having listened to the music, he couldn't believe it had nothing to do with the strong emotions stood up in the crowd.

Angel smirked at the two students answering her question.

"Very good ten points each. Now you two have given two great examples, so much so, that since our time is over, this will be our assignment. Each of you shall pick a song, that affects a certain societal change, and explain why and how. You will owl it off to me, for extra points. Alright?"

Seeing no rebuttal she smiled brightly and let the doors open.

"Class dismissed."
