Old Habits Die Hard (Open) Empty Old Habits Die Hard (Open)

It was said that witches and wizard feared the huge forest hidden from muggles. They had heard stories about the kind of creatures that lived there, and how there were some people who, after spending a night there, never came back. Rumours. They were carried by haters, spread by fools and accepted by idiots. There was a sign somewhere saying that, and several people had stopped to think a bit, eventually deciding that, if it was true, the world was indeed full of idiots. Just because a forest looked menacing didn't mean that people would start going missing in it, even with all the creatures hanging out there; from faeries to vampires, there were always different rumours about how dangerous they were and what they would do to you. In some cases, it was more than true.

Austin Bell was one of the several werewolves who liked spending his time in there, isolated from the rest of the world in case he would do something which he would end up regretting later. That always seemed to happen to him, so that eventually he didn't even bother to socialise or get to know other people, unless they were creatures like him, and even then he wouldn't go over the top with being friends. No. He enjoyed being alone sometimes. More than normal people anyway.

He took a seat somewhere on a large rock and reached into his pocket, pulling out a lighter and a pack of cigarettes. He placed one in his mouth and lit it carefully, then tossed the lighter and the pack back in his pocket, staring at nothing in particular. This old smoking habit should have died a long time ago, because it was unhealthy and left behind a horrible scent, however it helped take his mind off things.

Lomasi Cole was so used to living alone but her parent where crazy. She had gotten lock up asylum for doing magic as if that would make the devil go away not mention the abuse she suffer from her parents. The magic made them crazy and she never meant for any of those things to happened.

She could not control it and the more they hit her it was not getting anywhere. When she stowaway on the ship she took off running away from them and to say the least she was what people would consider was mud blood.

She could not help it and she knew if she end up orphanages that nobody would want her because she was not pure blood witch. That was it she gather some woods for this was it. She was gathering the woods she rough it one would say that. She knew that other wizards and witches would not think of coming to hidden forest because it was dangerous.

That being it she knew that there was other creatures she did not mind them the creatures she did not bother them she figure that they liked bee hive not bother them because there a lot liked bees if they where step on them. As she start on the old fashion way or muggle way of start firing long ago rubbing two sticks together.

Kiera walked leisuredly in the Hidden Forest, stretching her arms above her head. To any bystander, it would appear as if she was completely relaxed and casual, unaware of any kind of danger. Woe betide the person who thought such things. Because the truth was that in case of an attack, it would take tenth of a second for Kiera to slice the person's head off.

Kiera smiled lightly. She came to the Forest now and then, met some interesting people. Cretures were far more empathetic than mere humans anyway. Her eyes fell on a man seated on a large rock, cigarette in hand, clearly dangerous. Kiera ran a finger over the hilt of her cloaked blade, Krusa, just as a last second reassurance. Then she walked forwards, a casual smile lingering around her lips, "Care to share?"

Austin drew on his cigarette, shifting into a more comfortable position on the large rocks. As he blew out the smoke, making rings in the air, he sensed two new presences around in the forest, and two scents lingered in the air. He didn't recognise them; humans. He wasn't sure whether to be surprised, annoyed or wanted to leave. Probably all three.

"I don't know," He replied, when the owner of one of those scents finally showed herself. "Do you plan on attacking me with that blade?" Others would wonder how Austin would know that the woman was hiding a blade. The answer was, he had his way of figuring out these things. After all, having learned to accept the fact that he was a werewolf on his own made all his senses stronger somehow. It also made it clear that he could trust no one except himself.

Not waiting for the woman's answer, Austin reached back into his pocket and tossed her the pack of cigarettes, which had the lighter placed inside. Usually he would keep his drinks and cigarettes to himself, but now he was too tired and thoughtful to be mean. "Help yourself." He added then, finally looking up to look at her. He wasn't one to make eye contact often.

Post by Humphrey Williams Thu May 31, 2012 3:58 pm

Humphrey was hanging out in the Hidden Forest, where he had run with Zara the last full moon. He had been walking around, exploring, when he stumbled across some dangerous looking kids. He knew Keira, and Austin he recognized from the creatures meeting. "Hello Austin, Miss Auvergne, how are you both? Who are your friends?" he asked.

He offered them his right hand to shake, "I'm Humphrey Williams, werewolf extraordinaire. No, not really extraordinary, but am a Werewolf. It is my furry little problem." Humphrey said, making light of his serious condition. Everybody knew how hard it was for werewolves to go through the change once a month.

Austin found himself groaning as he drew on his cigarette again and blew out the smoke in almost a frustrated way. He hated being around so many people unless absolutely necessary. He would only settle with being around one or two people...but three and up was just too over the top. You couldn't say he liked it much. He took the cigarette out of his mouth and tossed it in the grass somewhere further into the woods, between some trees. He looked at the younger girl, before moving aside to let Keira sit if she wished, and all the same he watched the younger student, his curiosity taking the better of him. "Why would you be camping out in a place like this?" He arched an eyebrow. "It's not the best place if you ask me. Unless you believe in committing suicide, that is. Not all creatures are going to be nice enough not to pounce on you when they see you all alone."

Then he turned to Humphrey. Austin remembered him from the meeting. He wasn't a bad kid; it was just the fact that he was a bit of a chatterbox, and always looked too happy for his own good. "I know who you are, Humphrey," He pointed out, leaning back against some of the larger, unbreakable rocks behind him. He was lucky they wouldn't budge even if you tried to make them. "What are you doing out here at this time?" Then again, that was a stupid question to ask; it was obvious, the woods were basically where all creatures could hang out in peace. Maybe that was what this young werewolf was doing. "Ah...she's just a camper, I'm guessing." He dismissed it as that. After all, he did not know the younger girl, so he wouldn't even bother agreeing on the fact that she was his 'friend'. There were only some people who reached that rank. And that was hard.

Lomasi had thought it over she had thought it over in head she had no home that is. It was not liked she had choice in the matter. She could not go back home her parent beat the crap out of her. She would not attack any creature unless provoked but she would not and all the same. Either were she roam that was her home.Because I have no home. She was homeless she had to live out on the street. It was not attack anyone she had taken some stuff out backpack survived guide trying to live she had wonder she had live her life this way.

Then she look over Humphrey the unknown the werewolf she did not know well all the same. I'm Lomasi Cole. She told the chatter box werewolf she made note not to be around full moon all the same she was quiet and she knew what was at risk all the same but do you think she had choice in the matter she could see it inside her head would stay at her parent she would be kill she would died. So she did next best thing run for it. When that magic start happened she wish it had not because then they start to beat crap out of her. She wish she went back to normal all the same she look back at the boy. She listen to him go on about it all the same.

Kiera raised an eyebrow at Austin's gesture of letting her sit that could have been interpreted as gallant, except for the fact that his expression showed how truly indifferent he was about it.

"Thanks, but I prefer to stand. You see," Kiera paused for a second, gaze flitting over Humphrey, "Its better to remain on guard when surrounded by so many, for the lack of a better word, creatures. I know Humphrey is more well-mannered than most humans out there," then her gaze shifted to Austin, "But you are still a stranger to me."
