Re: Saving the day (Luther and Darcie)
Luther had been around the block enough times to know that life was nothing without struggle. If you got everything you wanted immediately and without struggling then how on earth were you going to appreciate it? No the best things in life you had to struggle for,
"Ah well life is full of struggling. It's through struggling that we get some of our most cherished experiences." he said before waving a metallic hand with a small smirk, "And I'm rather adept at struggling. Or I was when these things were new."
He blinked a little bit. The card was about The Devil. He wasn't sure exactly how that had any reflection on love. When she explained what it could mean he blinked a few times before smirking, his cheeks slightly red,
"Well now... what happens between two consenting adults and all that." he teased her lightly before grinning faintly, "Lets see what else shows up shall we?"

Re: Saving the day (Luther and Darcie)
Darcie was more than happy to move on from the last card, she was sure that it had come up just to make her blush and she tried to banish all of the thoughts that she had when it came to boyfriends and doing...things like that, after all she had never had a boyfriend, she wouldn't have a clue what to do!
Picking up the last card Darcie smiled happily and she pointed the card in Luther's direction with a large smile on her lips, it was so nice to see a card that told her a little bit about the person he would be coming together with.
"This is another of the minor arcadia, it's the Princess of the Discs, so it's an Earth card, it shows us a little bit about the way that the lady you'll be together is going to be like. The Princess of Disks woman is a reliable and diligent person, trustworthy and hard-working. She is faithful by nature, and deals badly with conflict. She contemplates life very thoroughly, being sensitive to the needs of others, and sympathetic to their feelings. Despite her quiet exterior, she has a huge resource of strength and support to offer to those who need it. She is also an excellent practical manager with marked proficiency in dealing with money and accounting. This will, however, generally be expressed in the home environment where she is at her most content."

Re: Saving the day (Luther and Darcie)
Luther had to admit that it was hard to think of something cuter than Darcie when she was pouting. But Darcie when she was blushing blew the pouting Darcie out of the window on the cuteness scale. He chuckled a little bit to himself and stroked her cheek gently.
He caught her smile and smiled back instinctively when though the card itself meant less than nothing to him on his own. Perhaps he should start looking into these things if he was going to be around Darcie? He made a mental note to remember that as he listened to her explanation. He smiled happily,
"She's sounding like an absolutely lovely woman right now." he told her with a smile that turned to a slightly teasing smirk, "Sounds an awful lot like a woman I know actually."

Re: Saving the day (Luther and Darcie)
Darcie blushed even more when Luther reached out and stroked her cheek she really did not know what to do, she had wnated him to become more comfortable around her but it was beginning to feel slightly different than just a friendly action.
When Luther told her that it sounded like a lovely woman Darcie nodded her head and beamed, holding the cards out to Luther with a small smile on her lips, wondering if it would be nice to have her fortune told; "Do you want to try and do my fortune?"
"I know, I've always wanted to be told that I'm like the Princess of the Discs although I really dont think I'm nice enough to be her, although youre really lucky to have a potential partner like that." Darcie grinned "OH you do? Who is it?"

Re: Saving the day (Luther and Darcie)
He chuckled lightly when she blushed slightly more at his touch but he had a sudden thought. It would probably look like he was trying to be more than friendly. Luther took his hand away a little reluctantly and smiled at her.
When Darcie held the cards out to him, Luther blinked at them a few times before blinkining at Darcie. Seeing the hopeful expression on her face, he took the cards and began shuffling,
"I'll give it a shot but I warn you, I'm probably going to be terrible." he warned her teasingly, "I might do it all completely wrong."
He grinned wider than he had done before in Darcie's presence,
"Well now if that isn't a coincidence!" he smirked, "The woman I was thinking of was you Darcie. Guess you are like the Princess of Discs. Now... from the top or the bottom?"

Re: Saving the day (Luther and Darcie)
Darcie couldn't help but blush a little bit when she was told that Luther thought that the woman of the Discs was herself, she blushed ven more when she realised that she would then fit in with the prophecy that they had just done together...which would be more than weird...
"You really think so?" she asked with a large smile "Oh Luther you're so sweet, thank you."
When he told her that he was likely to get it all wrong Darcie grinned and she shook her head, jumping off of the bed and getting the little book that had come with the cards;
"If you need help look in here, I never need to look at the book though, obviously or I would be a complete failure as a soothsayer if I still needed the silly book." Darcie giggled a little.
Biting her lip Darcie said; "Bottom please."

Re: Saving the day (Luther and Darcie)
The blushing was making her very quickly into the cutest person he'd ever met and he couldn't help but find the innocence rather adorable. It also had the added benefit of telling him that she might not be opposed to the idea of being his Princess of Discs, which made him smile a little bit wider,
"I really do." he answered completely honestly, "It's not a problem to tell the truth I assure you Darcie."
When Darcie returned with the little book with the definitions in he grinned a little bit and took it gratefully. It would be a bit weird if he was the one doing the reading but had to ask the other person what everything meant,
"But you are not a failure, as I can see by the fact this book is still in it's plastic." He grinned, "Not that there was ever a doubt about your abilities."
He grinned and drew a card. He held it up and read what the book said about it,
"The Chariot... apparently this card is about the strength of willpower. In this situation it would mean that if you believe in yourself, keep having hope and are determined to be loved then you will overcome any trouble to be with the one you love."

Re: Saving the day (Luther and Darcie)
Darcie was jiggling a little bit in her seat and she hoped that her reading was going to be good, it was going to show her something about herself that she was never allowed to know, as you could never divine your own future, one of the first rules of soothsaying.
When he told her that he didnt doubt her abilities, Darcie giggled and grinned happily; "Awwww thank you, most people do so I wouldn't have really taken any offense, I've had lots of opposition to my arts over the years I've learnt it."
As soon as the card was held up Darcie knew what it meant and how it would apply to anyone else but not to her, she didn't really have any strength of will because she bent so easily to whatever other people wanted.
"I know thats something I will need to remember, sometimes things get on top of me, but I will be sure to remember that I need to keep strong and everything will be okay."

Re: Saving the day (Luther and Darcie)
Seeing how happy Darcie was, Luther pushed the memory of him deciding to learn more about soothsaying. He pushed it up in priority, it would give them something to talk about that she enjoyed and would allow her to get glimpses of her future, something she wasn't allowed to do herself,
"Well a lot of people are closed-minded fools." he smirked slightly, "You see the connection there?"
He could tell that Darcie already knew what the card meant. He also happened to disagree with her opinion but it was her opinion. Taking out the next card he checked the book again,
"Justice. Apparently this means that all of your good karma will pay off." he smiled, "It means that you'll be rewarded for your good deeds with a lover who fits you well, complimenting you perfectly."

Re: Saving the day (Luther and Darcie)
Darcie smiled happily when Luther tried to tell her that people just didn't understand her art and that was why they thought that it was rubbish and tried to insult it, people often thought that she was useless because her art in her opinion was, and it was hard for her to take on their opinion.
"I wouldn't say they were fools Luther that's mean." she said with a small pout "They just dont understand and they don't see the point to what I do, so they label it as nothing important."
Biting her lip Darcie beamed when the card came up she was glad that she was going to get the good luck that she thought she deserved, she wanted to have someone who matched her well in her relationship...maybe they would stay together for a while if they did.
"Oh thats such a good card to have! I am so happy that one came up." she grinned happily.
