Lesson One - Fourth Years

Raven had what could only be described, as a wonderful holiday, she had killed so many people it was unreal, her necromancy magic had only grown stronger and she had even been able to squeeze in some time with baby Raven and her mother, Briony.

With a happy little smile, Raven sat at the front of her desk, and wondered if she was perhaps doing the scariest thing that she ever could towards her students, actually smiling.

Although she was sure it would soon be wiped of her face when the students, or lack of, arrived. Writing the lesson point on the board, Raven sighed lightly and waited for the class to begin;

'Hate Potion.'

Noah walked into the room and was immediately taken aback by the smile on Raven's face. Not sure whether he should return it or not he gave her a quick half smile and took his seat.

Looking at the board he saw "Hate Potion" written up. 'Lovely welcome back' he thought as he smirked to himself.

Dmitra walked into the first Potions class of the year, confident and eager to learn. She walked in, and did a double take. Professor Drake was smiling, as in SMILING. Someone's had a good holiday. Dmitra thought with a smirk.

She saw Noah sitting already in the class, and sat beside him, taking out her book. "Hey there. Long time no see."

She tilted her head when she walked in at the potion on the board. Hate potion? She was slightly disturbed by the happy smile on their Lehrer's face, as The Sweeney wasn't exactly the cheeriest person - unless she was doing something creepy, of course. Aquila shrugged and took a seat in the middle, showing her sort-of respect for Lehrer Drake by not sitting at the back.

She only sat in the front for Darcie.

Raven looked at the students in her class, there was her apprentice and the two Muhe students that seemed to be taking a lot of classes this year, with a small change to her smile, she let it drop and she shook her head to clear her thoughts from her mind.

Now was not the time to think of ripping someones arm off and beating them with it, no indeed.

"This potion reveals the worst faults and habits of the target person to the drinker, this is why it is called the hate potion as it normally makes people hate the one the faults are found in." with a smirk Raven tapped the board "Can any of you tell me an ingredient?"

Aquila had pulled her textbook out and scanned the contents page. She soon located where exactly the hate potion was in her book and began to read up on it. However she was only a paragraph in before he remembered reading up on the potion before and ht her textbook once more, just as The Sweeny started the lesson.

Eagerly, she raised her hand to answer the question. Her favourite part of potions was the fact that Aquila knew a lot more about it than any of her other subjects. "One of the ingredients for the potion is lacewing flies, though these can sometimes be replaced by bat wings depending on how strong you want the potion to be."

Raven looked at Aquila when she spoke to answer the question, she merely nodded at her answer, now sitting at her desk she took out her razor and flicked it out and then back in once more, she thought that she would be able to answer the question out of all the people here, she was her apprentice after all.

"Well done, 10 points to Risiko." she said in a cool, rather bored tone, tapping the board the ingredients and recipe appeared there, for the students to note down.

'Ingredients;

Bat Wings (6)
Boomslang Skin (3 Pounds)
Flobberworm Pus (1 Cup)
Asp Venom (3 Drops)
Nettles (2)
Base Potion

1. Add the base potion to a cold cauldron, then add the flobberworm pus while the potion is still unheated, stir in the pus and then put the cauldron on a low heat.
2. When this is done add the boomslang skin, one pound at a time, then wait until the potion changes colour to a dark purple.
3. The two nettles must be added next, be careful to use gloves when adding these, the potion must then be stirred 8 times counter clockwise.
4. After this, add two bats wings, followed by one drop of asps venom, you should see the potion change colour each time you repeat this step until it turns a black colour and stays this way.
5. Heat the potion for a further two minutes before leaving to cool entirely.

"This recipe is to be noted down, you are to then complete this outside of the classroom and give it to one of your fellow pupils you wish to know that little bit more about." she smirked "Class dismissed."
