Lesson Two - Fourth Years
Briony was looking forward to this lesson, she had thought that the term had managed to move on in a very productive way and the Halloween Ball had gotten off without a hitch, she hoped that the tasks would continue in the pleasant way they had done also, it was doing wonders to the relationship between the two schools.
Opening the door to her classroom, Briony sat down behind her desk and flicked her lighter on, lighting her cigarette she took a deep drag before blowing out a smoke ring.
Writing on the board what the students would be learning about Briony waited for them to appear;
'Deprimo practical and Obscuro'

Duelling was always a good class, and Headmistress Romain was probably his favorite teacher. When he walked in, he was surprised to see her smoking. He decided that it was best not to ask questions and took his seat at the front of the class as usual. She had done an excellent job with the Halloween Ball, it had been a blast.
"Morning Headmistress Romain, how are you? That ball was amazing, thanks so much for putting in all the work." Humphrey said. Looking at the board, he saw that today would be the practical on Deprimo, and Obscuro. He was ready to get going.

Entering the classroom, her nose wrinkled at the smell of smoke. She smiled politely at the Headmistress, and wondered if she knew how detrimental it was, especially with second hand smoke. She figured the Headmistress did, and paid no heed simply sitting in her usual seat before waiting for the class to begin.

Airen entered the classroom. His senses were instantly assaulted on two fronts. The first being his ears, as Humphrey was being humphrey and saying a lot more than needed. It sounded a lot like he was trying to play at politics and butter people up. Calming himself down, Airen reminded himself that Humphrey was Humphrey, and nothing would change that. The second front was his nose. He smelled the smoke. Not being a fan of smoking, he still kept his thoughts to himself.
"Good Morning, Professor," he greeted in his normal manner: polite and simple.

Haley was still in a foul mood. And she still didn't know why. So when she walked into the duelling classroom and her nose filled with the scent of smoke, she narrowed her eyes at the sigarette in the Headmistress hand. Then hse shook her head quickly. She needed to mind what she was doing.
She quickly cleared her throat and tried, unsuccessfully, to smile, before sitting down in a corner, seriously hoping she'd be left alone this lesson. She looked at the board, and though her curiosity spiked, her horrible mood didn't lessen one bit.
She decided to meditate for a second. But she kept her eyes open. She didn't want to lose housepoints.
(OOC: I'll be gone from Tuesday until Sunday, so I won't be posting in the lessons that have not been posted up by now. In other words, Haley will be inactive )

Re: Lesson Two - Fourth Years
Victoria walked into class, happy to be back to lessons as usual. The break had been rather eventful, what with the tournament. While she couldn't say she was really excited about how things had went, at least her hand was healing up a bit. She still couldn't use it for much, but it was mending.
She passed by Humphrey on her way to sit next to Tess. They hadn't really said much lately, but she had really appreciated his support at the maze. He touched his shoulder and whispered, "Good luck at your challenge."
Taking a seat, she smiled at Tess and waited for class to start.

Re: Lesson Two - Fourth Years
Briony nodded her head when Humphrey spoke to her, she really had not expected anyone to thank her for the ball, after all no student had done that before and it was a little unexpected, but oddly she found herself liking the gesture.
"Thank you Humphrey, it's nice to know the work I do is appreciated once in a while, 5 points to Gryffindor for your manners." she nodded to him.
Then she looked at the students that were in the class and smiled gently, she was glad that there were so many still dedicated in her older years. Unlike her second years who appeared to be none existant.
"Now you all remember from last lesson the spell Deprimo, you will be practicing this spell today, if you could all line up and take one of the firing ranges. Your aim is to use the spell to hit the center of the target, if you do it correctly it will smash and you will recieve housepoints."
Briony took out her wand and walke dup to one of the ranges, they were enclosed so nobody could hurt each other by spells gone awry.
"Deprimo!" she cast, and the spell sent a wave towards the target, and it smashed upon contact "Like that. You may begin."

Humphrey was shocked when he got five points for thanking her, he just smiled. Headmistress Romain was definitely one of his favorite teachers. She knew what she was doing, and she was pretty nice. Sure, she was intimidating at times, but an excellent teacher.
Walking over to the firing range, he thought about the spell working. Focusing, he aimed at the center of the target. "Deprimo!" he bellowed, but it didn't work. It only rattled the target a little bit. Gathering himself again, Humphrey tried again. "Deprimo!" This time, the target shattered like it was supposed to. "Yes!"

Tess couldn't help but roll her eyes, he would get points for overchatting, she thought smirking. Once the spell was given and the assignment was clear, she got up and took out her wand.
Deprimo, she repeated in her head remembering it's pronunciation. She might not be so aggressive as others were when it came to spells, at least not in dueling.
Doing the correct movements, she looked at the target and squinted, only when she was ready, did she say:
"Deprimo"
It seemed that she had luck. Newbie lucky, she thought with a small sigh. The target had shattered, but she knew part of her, thought it was mere luck. Still, she shrugged and sat down with a small smile.

Re: Lesson Two - Fourth Years
Haley decided to try. She wasn't feeling very well, though, but she raised from the desk and walked into the line. She tried to smile at Humphrey and Tess, and was pleased to feel her mood improving by just trying to smile. So the smile was truer. She walked over to the doll and aimed at the target.
It had been a while now that Haley knew her spells would work so much better if she cleared her mind first. So that's what she did. Deprimo was the only word in her mind, and the shattering effect was the only image. She looked intently at the target and then did the movement, while saying "Deprimo!"
She was undeniably very proud of herself when she managed to smash the target like the two others had on her first try. She then felt her mood improving even more, and this time she managed to smile without straining her muscles.

Re: Lesson Two - Fourth Years
Briony looked at the group as they started to do the task she had set, she was glad that they were all managing it well, they were going to have to do it in a battle situation after all.
When all of them seemed to have done it, at least all of the ones who have attempted to get up and do it. Running her hand through heir hair Briony held up her hand and the ranged dissappeared.
"Well done you three, 10 points to each of your houses." she said with a small smirk "Obscuro as I am sure you all know creates a blindfold over the eyes of the person you cast the spell on, I would like you to familiarise yourself with this spell, and I will test one of you at the start of the next lesson, class dismissed."
