Visperia de Auvergne was the Head of Department of Law and Enforcement of France, but in actual, she was the de facto French Minister and the most powerful person in France. She visited America for diplomacy reasons, and fell in love there with a magical researcher at Salem Institute, Alessander Diamante. They got married and had a child, Kiera and lived in France.

Now a little known fact was that Visperia was a Seer, not one who got prophecies but who could see glimpses of the future. She saw the outcome of one of the major battles in the War. Now a group of people came to know of this fact, and that Alessander was her husband, and started pursuing her.

On Kiera’s tenth birthday, Visperia got another vision that her child was going to be killed by her enemies because of her, and she and Alessander decided that Kiera was safer without them. They sent her to a safehouse in Asia in the company of a house-elf and went into hiding themselves, making Kiera think that her parents had deserted her.

After some time, Visperia was shocked by another pregnancy, in hiding, and she gave birth to Dmitra. This could not remain secret for too long, and her enemies caught wind of their hiding place. Visperia convinced Alessander to go back to America with Dmitra, and that she would come separately later. She never came.
