Before we return (Cobalt and Airen)

[Cobalt Smith]

Cobalt was waiting at the end of the Fourth Task for Airen to finish being congratulated. He'd gotten Charlotte to give him a message to meet him here. He regretted the fact that he hadn't been much of a 'master' to his young apprentice but the fact was that Cobalt was a man with commitments outside of school that demanded his attention.

It didn't make it right though.

So, hoping to bridge the gap a little bit between him and his student, Cobalt had gotten something out of storage for Airen to celebrate his victory in the Fourth Task.

[Airen Auditoren]

Airen walked away as he was congratulated. He was still a little spooked by Raven. She seemed so intent on making people afraid of her, even to the extent that she gave them a reason to fear her. He'd received a message from Charlotte saying that her father wanted to speak with him. He hadn't really spent much time with his mentor.

Airen walked up to Cobalt. He noticed a package of some kind, but thought nothing of it.

"Hello, sir," he greeted. He extended his hand out for his mentor to shake.

Cobalt shuffled his feet a little bit in nervousness. He had decided to give this gift to Airen because the boy deserved it and because he would likely use it for better things that he had done. And it deserved to be used properly, to be used the way it was meant to be used.

He shook Airen's hand with a grin,

"Hello Airen." he greeted his student before chuckling, "Well done in the arena. Your victory has secured a Hogwarts victory. But now I have something to ask you Airen..."

Cobalt grew serious as he held the covered package tightly in his hands. He sighed a little bit,

"Do you temper your actions with mercy Airen? Do you seek retribution for those who cannot?" he looked at his student seriously, "Do you seek to give justice?"
