"Alright, I won't argue the point. I know that you can't argue with a girl, they always end up winning somehow." he said, teasing anette a little bit. "That's kind of you to say. I don't think that's true, but think what you like." From what he knew, people thought he was just a regular student.

He listened to what Nancy had to say, it made sense. "Guilty as charged, I am the annoying Gryffindor." he said, smiling and laughing a bit. "You might be right Nancy. Either way, I am going to do my best and try to get in." Humphrey's voice was determined. Anybody could see that he wanted to become an Auror pretty badly.

"That sounds great Nancy. I like to do a little bit of all those things. You should talk to Senium Nex sometime, she's a really good dancer." he said, smiling warmly at his new friend.

He spotted Anette out of the corner of his eye, and she was frowning. Something was clearly bugging her, but he couldn't place it. "Anette, are you alright? You look...well, kind of sad."

Now Humphrey was feeling a little bit like he was being left out of the conversation. He didn't want to be rude though, so he just sat and waited patiently. It was amusing, for some reason Anette did not seem to like Nancy, and was kind of interviewing her. At least that's what it seemed like to him. Girls were just so weird sometimes, he really didn't understand them.

"You mean you aren't addicted to fashion. I kind of have to go on Nancy's side, I like to dress up to. Not a big fashion enthusiast, but I do enjoy it a little bit." he said, smiling. He'd always loved bowties for some reason, and loved to wear them to nice balls and things of that nature.

Nancy carefully looked at Humphrey. There was something in him that made her feel calm and safe, things that she usually lacked. Then, she looked at Annete and she could not say the same thing about her. Nevertheless, the more Nancy talked, the clearer her mind got and her speech was becoming more natural and quiet.

"You see my point, Humphrey. I'm not addicted to fashion either, dear Anette, I just wanted to say that it was my hobbie and I'd be happy to make it a part of my future job."

She wasn't trying to make anyone else like her anymore and promised herself to stay silent for the rest of the conversation because she just wanted to listen to both of them. Anette definetly wasn't as sweet as she tried to seem.

She seemed to be relaxing a bit more as the conversation went on. It was nice to see her loosen up, because she was pretty tense when she first walked up to them.

"Yes I do Nancy. I think that would be pretty cool to be a designer or something like that. Art is one of my hobbies, and I love drawing and painting various things. Would love if I could do that full-time, but I also want to be an Auror. Maybe I could do both, who knows."

Anette did not like the situation.

She felt like she was becoming execc in the group.

She did not want to argue and she also did not like that strange Nancy, who had already becme the center of attention.

"What is she doing here?" - Anette thought - "Why has she came?"

However Anette still seemed to be light-hearted.

- Ok, Lets forget about dressing and fashion, - Anette smiled, - hoe are you going to spend thr holidays?

Anette was getting annoyed, and it seemed to Humphrey like she disliked Nancy. Despite the fact that she had a sweet tone when she talked to her, something was bothering her. He really had no idea why though, and he hoped that she would be nice.

"Okay, I don't really care that much about what we talk about it." Humphrey said, shrugging. "That sounds fun Melody. I'm going to be spending the holidays at home with my aunt. Probably do some more hiking, a lot of painting, and of course study for my fifth year. OWL's are next year, which is going to be huge for me. It will decide whether or not I even have a chance at being an Auror. So, lots of studying for me, not that I mind." he admitted sheepishly. He was a bit of a nerd, and he knew it.

"So, what about you Anette? What's your summer look like? Nancy, you too, any big plans?"

- I will spend it with my family, - Anette said, - I hope we will visit one or two new countries. We like to travel and try to do it using every opportunity.

That was truth.

- You know I miss my home very much. Of course I like Hogwarts but sometimes... Oh, sorry. I talk too much about myself, I understand.

"My aunt's too busy to travel, or we would. She lets me do pretty much whatever I want though when at home. I spend most days outside exploring and looking for cool places to paint, sketch, or sit and read in." he told her. That was one of his favorite parts about summer, the opportunity to paint new landscapes.

It was kind of sweet that Anette missed her family so much. "You're alright Anette. I used to miss home, but for me it just brings up bad memories now. Hogwarts is my home, and has been ever since my first year." Humphrey said, smiling. "What were you going to say, you like Hogwarts but sometimes...sometimes, what?"

- But sometimes I wish I could spend more days at home, - Anette said very quietly, - but, - she added, - most of my old friends can just dream about Hogwarts and I want to use this chance. Sorry again, - she laughed, - now I use too formal language.

At that momen Anette was sure that her first opinion about Humphrey had been correct.

"Makes sense, everybody misses their families. I know I miss my aunt like crazy when I'm here." he replied. Humphrey had barely been able to catch what she had said. "Same with me, I'm a muggleborn, so my old friends don't know how amazing magic and this school is." Humphrey chuckled a bit. "You're fine Anette."

While he was looking at Anette, she seemed to be thinking, and almost looked more sure of herself. He wasn't sure what she had figured out, but she did look more relaxed now.
