Joshua walked up to Headmistress's office door and knocked

despite the fact that he was extremely nervous.

Briony heard the knock on the door and she smirked a little bit, placing the dark arts manuscript she had been using away, after all there was no need for thr student to see all of the things that were hidden within these books after all.

Flicking her wand at the door it opened swiftly to reveal the first of her new apprentices, after all, the death of Tess McCartney had been a tragic event, but it would not prevent Briony from teaching more students to defend themselves, it seemed to only spurr her on.

"Enter Joshua, take a seat and then we will begin our first meeting." she drawled, searching through her drawers for something.

Briony looked at the Apprentice, Joshua sitting there and she hummed to herself, maybe she had found herself another Melody, blissfully quiet and didn't ask annoying questions that didn't need to be asked. Resting her chin on the bridge of her hands, Briony smirked gently.

"Tell me Joshua, what aspect of duelling are you looking to get into the most, physical or magical?" she asked, taking out her parchment she had been looking for, and her ink with the quill that she so often used, she was quite frankly surprised she didn't need a new one.

Briony smirked a little bit, so it was magical duelling that he was interested in was it? Well hopefully she would be able to accomodate that, and seeing as the boy in front of her was already older than the apprentice age they could do more...questionable spells that younger years wouldn't be able to.

"And to what extent are you willing to go to, to learn magical duelling, some of my spells are classed as dark arts, would you be willing to learn them or would you prefer to stay on the lighter side of magic instead, which although limiting might help your conscience."

"I'll use Dark Arts." Joshua said. 'Better than light in my book.'

Briony, upon hearing that Joshua wasn't as squeaky clean as she thought he might be, she wondered just what spells he would actually be willing to learn when it came down to it, after all they would take many weeks to perfect, especially as he wasn't fully developed as a wizard yet.

"Well I see." she smirked, writing something else down on her pad with a wry smile as she did so, wondering if her next question was going to recieve a similar intriguing answer, Briony asked "And what is your former duelling knowledge, have you ever been in a proper duel before?"

"Not a proper one I got into a fight with Melody Lovegood and lost once."

Briony, if she was drinking anything, would have spat it out when he told her that he had lost in a fight to Melody Lovegood, she really couldn't believe that he would do and she couldn't stop a large smirk spreading across her lips.

Perhaps he needed more help than she had initially thought, she wondered just what type of a fight it was, but didn't ask.

"I see, well then you will need to have more duelling experience, you will most likely start that today, duelling against me." she smirked before adding "I'll go easy on you for the first few months of the training while you find your feet."

Briony smirked a little bit at Josh's eagerness, it seemed as if he was ready and raring to go when it came to duelling against her, maybe in time he would see how foolish it was to be so ready to duel against someone with all of her experience, Briony knew that she would be able to defeat the boy easily, but of course, in time it would become more difficult as he trained.

"Did I say that we were going to begin the duel now?" she asked with a raised eyebrow, almost in amusement "Sit back down, we are not finished with our discussion as of yet, eagerness is all well and good but when directed in the right way."
