Duelling Lesson Two - Second Years

Briony looked at the knife that she was holding, the light glinted off it and she couldn't help but smirk darkly, she was beginning to understand why it was that Raven was so obsessed with the razors that she owned, they were beautiful, just like this knife was.

With a small chuckle, she began to sharpen the knife on a whetstone that she had on her palm, it did the job however much people would tell her that she could easily do it in one flick of her wand, there were some things however that Briong felt should always be done by hand, this was one of them.

On the board was written the topic of today's lesson, waiting for the students to arrive, Briony continued her sharpening.

"Hello professor,"Melody said as she walked in.She noticed the spell on the board as she sat down and she wondered what it was for.

Veronica entered the room and walked to a seat beside Melody. She noticed just a minute ago that the professor was sharpening a knife. Gulp. She wondered what it was used for. Hopefully not for harming anyone.

She looked up at the board and saw their lesson for today.

Briony, when she saw her students walking into her lesson, stopped sharpening her knife and stabbed it into the wood of her desk in front of her, now standing up, Briony had an almost glowing quality to her eyes, which she herself attributed to the magical process she had begun to undergo in her spare time.

"Good morning class, today we are learning about the spell vipera evanesca, what does this spell do? How can this spell be used in a battle situation?"

With a smirk on her lips Briony added; "This spell just so happens to be one of my personal favourites to use in battle, so make sure that you learn it effectively."

Maybe it was because she had been because she had earlier been holding a dagger but Melody didn't have much trouble imagining Professor Briony in a battle. "It's the counter charm and untransfiguration for serpensortia."
