Lucia walked into her classroom, sitting down at her desk. Things had been beyond hectic lately, and she hoped it would change, and that quickly. She waved her wand and the chalk started writing on the board. 'Shielding charms' it wrote. She looked up as the class filed in.

"Hello everyone! I am professor Lucia Henley and I am deeply sorry that I wasn't here to teach your first lesson of the year. But let's get straight to business. Now, can anyone tell me the function of a shielding charm?" she asked them and waited for someone to reply.
