Lesson Three - Fifth Years Empty Lesson Three - Fifth Years

Post by Evangeline Webb Sun Sep 09, 2012 1:15 am

Evangeline entered her classroom and crossed the room to her desk in total silence. She was thinking about the winter break they'd just had. The Irvine twins had taken her over to Ireland and shown her what snow was with something called a 'snowball fight'. It had been wet, it had been cold but, somehow, it had made her want to smile too.

Humphrey walked into Potions, eager to learn what they'd be brewing today. Professor Webb was an excellent teacher, if a bit odd. She seemed to be lost in her own thoughts. He took a seat, getting out his things, and waited for class to begin. None of his classmates were here yet.

Lesson Three - Fifth Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - Fifth Years

Post by Charlotte Smith Mon Sep 10, 2012 5:35 am

Charlotte hurried to her class, she thought that she was going to be late! Ever since her break up with Airen, she had felt mixed emotions, and on top of everything else she had wanted little more than to snuggle up in the Slytherin Common room and sleep.

It seemed to be the only time that she wasn't worrying about her best friend, and now ex boyfriend. Charlotte hoped above all else he wouldn't chide and shun her now, after all, she cherished him dearly as a friend.

Distractedly she took out her equipment and looked idlly at the lesson topic on the board, not really in the right frame of mind for lessons at this moment in time.

Lesson Three - Fifth Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - Fifth Years

Airen entered the classroom. He had been a bit bummed out by the break up between him and Charlotte, but he remembered their first year. Specifically, a certain promise he had made. Now not being one to break promises, he decided that, although he still had feelings for Charlotte that went beyond that of best friends, he would be there for her still.

He sat down in his usual seat next to Charlotte and sent her a warm smile, signifying to her that he was still her friend. He took out his notes and got ready for their class. This semester was going to be different to say the least.

Lesson Three - Fifth Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - Fifth Years

Evangeline blinked at the student in front of her and she managed to give a rather small and shakey smile, the aftermath of playing with the twins was still affecting her and making her want more interaction with these interesting creatures called humans...

Walking to the board, she wrote down the recipe for the potion that they were to brew today and then turned to the class, merely waiting until they were all silent, her gaze falling on those who weren't until they were scared into hushing.

"Today we are looking at the potion that we made last lesson. Can anyone tell me the benefits of using this potion and when you might seek to use it the most?"

Charlotte smiled when she saw Airen come into the classroom and sit next to her, it made her think that she wasn't all on her own after all, and that he did still want to be friends like she had suggested when they had talked about their relationship.

Hearing the Professor ask a question she took a moment to think about it, before raising her hand and answering in a confident manner;

"The benefit of the strengthening solution is that you can use it on yourself, so you can become stronger, gain more stamina and power during battles and confrontations, which is where you might use it most. Or when you are going on a long or tiring journey."
