Lesson One - Sixth Years Empty Lesson One - Sixth Years

Post by Cain Valerian Sun Oct 07, 2012 1:21 am

Cain sighed a little bit as he trotted around his office. He missed the forest at times like this. When he was penned up inside the castle he loved to just think about the outdoors, even if he wasn't able to feel it very much. That being said, the ceiling to his classroom was retractable so at the very least he had the stars.

Haley sighed and rose from her bed, taking on her right outfit for the days coming classes. She smiled when she was done, ate a quick bite in the Great Hall and then made for the Divination lesson. She got there and smiled to professor Valerian, who looking rather restless.

Haley walked up to the front and sat down. "Good morning, professor," she said courteously. She took out her books and waited for the lesson to commence.

Lesson One - Sixth Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Sixth Years

Post by Humphrey Williams Sun Oct 07, 2012 3:08 pm

Humphrey headed up towards the Divination classroom, eager to be in class again. He always missed classes, the opportunity to learn was something he was grateful for. The professor was excellent, even if he seemed to miss the outdoors and the forest at times. Professor Valerian knew what he was talking about, and always explained the lessons well.

Taking a seat next to Haley, he waved at her. Then he got out his things so he would be ready for class to start. "Hello professor, how was your summer?" he asked with a smile. Nothing could ruin the wonderful feeling of being back at Hogwarts today, he couldn't stop smiling.

Tabi slowly made her way into divination with the new premonitions she wasnt sure about them and hoped maybe she could learn something new. Walking into class she noticed a professor she had never meet but she knew who it was because she had heard talk about him. She also saw Humphrey and Haley.

She found a place to sit and begin a slight meditation that she had learned from Professor Slytherin all those years ago that she found help clear her mind a little. She didn't say a word to anyone and just sat there and waited for class to start.

Cain, when he noticed that he had students in his classroom smiled his warm lopsided smile and thought that it would be time to begin the lesson, it was nice to feel like he was doing something to help the school get back on it's feet after the attack a few months ago, and so far he had settled in pretty well.

Gesturing to the board where he had written the lesson topic, Cain thought that it was about time to start the lesson, the time was marching on after all.

"Good day to you students, today we will be finding a style of soothsaying that suits you best, for example, many seers prefer to use different methods to those who do not have this ability, but, students who cannot forsee the future can still use other methods, like tarot, and reading tea leaves, this is what we will be learning today." he asked, with an encouraging tone to his voice "Consequently, do you all have a preferred method already?"

Tabi thought about the different methods that were out there and using tea leaves was not something she had taken an interest in. Neither had crystal balls.

"Professor I prefer the Tarot Cards myself, depending on how you are reading them they can tell you different things. They tell more than what a tea leaf can tell you."

Haley smiled as Tabi spoke. It had been so long since she had seen that girl, and not even their past as being nothing more than commoners, she found that she had really missed Tabi. She then rose her own hand.

"I love the Crystal Ball, I find it extremely fascinating and a very good challenge, as it is never set what you will find there," Haley said with a smile.
