Lesson Two - Sixth Years
Richard frowned a little bit as he sat down behind his desk, trailing his fingers along the wood to feel it, to admire the tecture of it. There were a few marks on the wood that he didn't actually recognise. Perhaps the clearner had hit it when working during the summer? He didn't much care though. The marks would add character to it, making the whole desk more of a part of the room than a piece of furniture.
He chuckled lightly to himself as he moved round to sit in his chair, resting his arms on the desk itself.

Charlotte sighed a little bit as she hurried along to her lesson. She was having more and more trouble trying to lead both a fulfilling social life and a successful school life. It seemed to her that the two lives tended to work against each other at every conceivable opportunity. She hoped it wasn't the same for everybody otherwise she wouldn't be the only one missing out on sleep.
As she entered the classroom she hurried to her desk and smiled as she sat down,
"Morning professor."

Richard looked out at the class and frowned slightly. He thought he had more pupils than this. Shrugging it off as a problem that he wasn't going to be able to tackle today, he nodded to those of the class that still remained. Grinning slightly, he took a piece of chalk and wrote on the board,
"Surprise pop quiz!" he told the class with a small smirk, "But let's make this interesting shall we?"
He moved round to the front of his desk, where he sat down and smirked at the class,
"For every correct answer you gain your house twenty points. For a wrong answer... your house loses forty." he chuckled, "Someone tell me... what metal does a philosopher's stone let you transmute lead into?"

Naomi ran into the Transfiguration classroom, cursing herself for being late. It was just her luck that she got stuck in the bathroom, waiting for the other girls to finish.
She slipped into her seat and took out her parchment, quill, ink and books. She set them down on the table and quickly started listening to Professor Romain.
When he mentioned a pop quiz she grinned while the other student's groaned. She knew that she could do this. As soon as Romain asked the first question her hand shot up and she answered.
"The Philosophers' stone let's a person to transmute lead into Silver or Gold, sir." She told him and smiled slightly, biting on the inside of her cheek.
