Lesson One - Seventh Years Empty Lesson One - Seventh Years

Post by Cobalt Smith Sun Jan 06, 2013 11:26 pm

Cobalt faded into view, walking through one of the solid walls that separated his office from his classroom, rolling his arm up and then out again in an attempt to work the muscles out again. His technique seemed to be getting more and more out of control. He really hoped that he never had to rely on it in battle because it would be just his luck that the technique would end or backfire just when he needed it the most.

Sighing a little bit he went to sit behind his desk to await the arrival of his class. The little bundels of energy would be here any minute now. Which was exactly why he reached into one of the desk drawers and pulled out a thermos of coffee. Nyos knew he would need it. He wasn't as young as he used to be after all and, by most counts, should be dead. He'd need the coffee for the energy.

Not to mention that this was the last year they would be here at the school. It was finally time for him to give them the gifts they had earned by getting this far. Just two gifts but gifts which would help them take their infiltration training and possibly make a career out of it.

Lesson One - Seventh Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Seventh Years

Post by Airen Auditoren Mon Jan 07, 2013 10:05 am

Airen walked up to the Infiltration room. He felt good about life at the moment. Sure he was sad that he and Charlotte had broken up. He supposed that a part of his heart would always belong to her, and had just succumbed to the fact that it just wasn't meant to be. He hadn't spoken to his mentor ever since the breakup and felt rather ashamed for being such a coward.

He took his seat at the front of the classroom. He looked up shyly at Cobalt, wondering what the man's opinion of him was. He knew he shouldn't be concerned, but the man had grown to be a father figure to him, and he didn't want to lose any of his trust.

Naomi walked up to the Infiltration room, sighing softly. She didn't particularly enjoyed this lesson but she was getting better at it and she could finally enjoy her lessons for once.

As Naomi slipped into the classroom she saw that someone was already there except the Professor. As she quietly walked to sit at her seat she wondered about what they'd be doing this lesson.

Lesson One - Seventh Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Seventh Years

Post by Humphrey Williams Tue Jan 08, 2013 4:16 am

Humphrey walked towards the Infiltration classroom, eager to start school again. He'd always loved learning, and Infiltration was very practical, challenging, and different from any other class at Hogwarts. What he learned in here would be very useful if he did end up being an auror like he had always wanted to. Also, if he decided to go into some spy work or something instead it would be extremely beneficial. From what he knew, Professor Smith was the best of the best.

He was a couple minutes early and he decided to take a seat next to his fellow Gryffindors Naomi and Airen. Naomi had always kept a bit more to herself than most students, but they had talked a couple random times over the years. Airen and him didn't really talk that much, though they weren't on as bad terms as they used to be in first year. Professor Smith looked ready to begin the year, and he had an eager look in his eyes. Humphrey got the feeling that he had a surprise for them.

"Morning Professor Smith, I can't believe this is the beginning of our last year in here." he said, still a bit in shock that this was his seventh year. Time really did seem to fly when he was here, there was never enough time at Hogwarts, at at least for him. Then he turned to Naomi and Airen, giving them cheerful waves before just patiently waiting for the others to arrive and class to start.

Lesson One - Seventh Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Seventh Years

Post by Charlotte Smith Wed Jan 09, 2013 12:28 am

Charlotte wandered into the first lesson of the new year, she had done well in her examinations last year and she was very happy that she could have done so well, she had made Cobalt pround and Viktor was proud too, she had gone out for a nice meal to celebrate as well, but she needed to knuckle down harder this year, it was the most important after all.

Sitting in her usual seat she gave a small smile to everyone in the room and then began to get out her things, she wanted to make sure that she got an early start in studying this year, it would be better when it came to revising when exams came around. Sucking on her lip peircings when she opened her book to begin reading again.

Post by Tabi Ann Prewett Thu Jan 10, 2013 10:27 am

Tabi walked into Infiltration class and took a seat in the back of the classroom. She was so glad this was her last year. It had just not been the same since her sister died and most days she wished she would just kill herself and put herself out of her own misery.

She opened up the book she had been and waited for class to start.

Lesson One - Seventh Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Seventh Years

Post by Cobalt Smith Mon Jan 14, 2013 3:01 am

When the class was all assembled Cobalt could help but feel a little bit sad. He had seen this class grow from little children to the young adults that they were today. Wandering around the classroom he smiled at each of them in turn. He gave Airen's shoulder a gentle squeeze as he passed, smiling at his somewhat estranged apprentice. He chuckled at Humphrey,

"Yes it's a bit weird..." he smirked slightly, "Seems like only yesterday you were all high voiced and only came up to my elbows. Times have changed I guess..."

He kissed Charlotte on the head, probably embaressing her, before moving to the front of the class again. Leaning against his desk he clapped his hands together,

"Well today's lesson is a bit strange. I'm going to be giving you gifts for one thing." he told them with a little chuckle, "First is simple. I'm giving you all a very useful hidden weapon. Tailor made actually. Just send me an owl with what weapon you want built into some clothes for you and I'll make them. No enchantments past long lasting."

He coughed a little bit before pulling out a small bag. Upending the bag on his desk, Cobalt smiled at them as he gestured at what was clearly... a pile of bones,

"I'm going to give you each a skeleton key." he told them with a grin, "Unlike the muggle ideas of a skeleton key the magical version is very literal. It's a key made out of bone that will unlock anything, as long as you have enough magic to use it. So... do I give okay gifts for the end of year?"

Lesson One - Seventh Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Seventh Years

Post by Haley Vilde Smith Fri Jan 18, 2013 1:37 am

Haley cursed herself loudly for being late. She sprinted down the hall, her feet meeting the ground in light noises, as if she was wearing socks and not the shoes she were wearing. She turned the corner and dashed over to the door, stopping a second and then opening it silently. She saw that professor Smith was walking around in the room, talking reminiscently.

She had to smile a bit, but it soon vanished. She knew he knew she was there, so she slowly closed the door and slid into a seat. "Sorry professor," she said softly, before listening in on what he said. Gifts? Okay, now that was cool. Unless she was to be punished for being late. She hoped not. But you never knew with professor Smith.
