Duelling Lesson One - All Years
Briony, although a lot of time had elapsed since the death of her child and many things had been occupying her thoughts, including the plans to start to establish some sort of charity in her name, couldn't stop herself from thinking of baby Raven for most of her day. Although now school was starting up again she was trying not to do this too much, she wanted to be able to focus on giving the students the attention that they deserve, they really did need a good duelling tutor, even though the war was over, they still needed help.
Sitting at her desk she waited for her students to show up she found she quite liked teaching in these group situations, the older students could help the younger ones if they needed help and more than that, it made the atmosphere more excited, and less like they were stuck in a boring stuffy lesson.
She couldn't believe that most of her students were Seventh Years now, they were in their last year of Hogwarts and they would be leaving in no time she thought, the years had passed by so fast she hardly even noticed them. With a small wry smile on her lips, Briony lifted her coffee to her lips and took a sip, cradling it in her hands as she thought about what she would be teaching in today's lesson.

Humphrey headed towards the Dueling classroom with a spring in his step, ready to learn some interesting spells. Headmistress Romain was an excellent teacher, and from what he knew one of the best duelists around. This year the classes were combined, and as a seventh year he would be helping the younger students a lot with learning the spells. Well, at least that's what he guessed he would be doing. He'd never had a combined dueling class before and wasn't sure what to expect.
Taking a seat at the front of the class since he was the first one there, he set down his bag of things and smiled up at their professor. "Good morning Headmistress Romain. Hard to believe this will be my last year here. I just wanted you to know that I couldn't have asked for a better Headmistress or Dueling instructor, thank you for all the work you've put in." he said sincerely. Then he sat back and waited for the rest of the class to arrive.

Airen walked slowly to the Dueling classroom. He'd made many good memories within the walls of Hogwarts. He dragged his hand over the walls as he made his way to his class. He entered the classroom. He gave a small smile as Humphrey was using more words than necessary. It was nice to know that some things never changed. He took a seat at the front of the classroom.
"Good morning, Professor," he said. He had always held a high respect for the Headmistress. No matter what life threw at her, she would always put aside her emotions for the sake of the class, and he respected that. He gave a friendly nod to Humphrey.

Thorn walked into the dueling classroom, feeling anticipation rise. This, he knew, would be one of his most useful subjects. He looked around the room, and found that there were two boys there already, both of which I the house of Gryffindor.
Thorn, having heard that Slytherins and Gryffindors didn't get along very well, decided that he shouldn't sit down next to either of them, and sat in the front of the classroom with a desk between the closest one of them.
He took out his wand, and waited for the rest of the student body to emerge.

Lucas walked inside the classroom and greeted Professor Romain a good morning. He sat on one of the seats and took a deep breath. Next year, he was going to be a seventh year. He thought it was likely that the spells for this class would be harder, now that he was older, and he needed to learn more, in case another war came. You never know when you've got to defend yourself. So, here he was, in Dueling Class, waiting for Professor Romain to begin the class.

Nicholas entered the classroom with a new set of bruises and cuts all over his face and his body. He had been pushing himself further than before in his out of lesson studies. His progress with battle magics was not without sacrifice however, some of the people he practiced against were less than happy to be pushed into fighting a fifteen year old.
Sitting down at his desk he hoped that the professor and the other students wouldn't make a big deal of the injuries. They were all easy to deal with and none of them hurt too much after all. And he was barely dripping at all.

Briony hummed and decided that it was time to shut the door to the classroom, everyone was here and she was glad to be able to see them all in attendance for the first lesson of the year, she had been expecting a much lesser student body if she was honest. Tapping the board the lesson topics for today wrote themselves upon them:
'Fifth Years: Ennervate'
'Sixth Years: Basic Physical Defense'
'Seventh Years: Conjunctivitis'
"Hello Class, it's nice to see you all again, some of you being in your Seventh year now, time goes so fast doesn't it?" she smirked lightly "Now, fifth years you will be looking at the spell ennervate today, can you tell me anything about this spell before we start? Sixth years, it's a practical lesson today on basic physical defense so please grab a mat from the side and set up in the corner. Seventh years, can you tell me anything about the spell you'll be learning about today?"
