Lesson Four
Leilah had had a nice break from teaching. There was obviously the big day for her. That was interesting. She smiled and walked into the classroom. She got everything ready. She placed books and cauldrons alongside ingredients on the tables. The kids had a surprise in for them. She let out a small laugh. Poor kids, they didn't know that they were constantly being watched to make up their grade. She thought that some of them had the ability to acheive the required level. Others, not so much. But good scores none the less. She watched the students come in and sit down.
"Guten Tag. I hope you haven't let your brains become full of fluff. Now, today we shall be studying Dark Potions. In front of you there is a cauldron and ingredients. You are to brew the potion on page 178." What she didn't tell the students was that if it went wrong, they could be left as something else than what they were. She smiled. She was also going to have to give them a test. It was coming to the end of the year. She wouldn't give it to them until the end of class...

Re: Lesson Four
(OOC: Can we brew any potion we like since you didn't specify one is are we all brewing the same one?)
Alys grinned as she entered the class and took a seat right at the front. DA had evolved into her favorite subject throughout the year and she was even pleasantly surprised to see that she actually did well in it. Heeding the Lehrer's instructions, the witch turned to the page and studied the potion recipe carefully.

Violeta was not in the mood to be in class but thought that she should attend anyways besides it could be interesting. She chose a seat close so that she could make an easy get away if needed or if she just got straight out bored of the class but being Dark Arts so she doubted the last one.

Tarragon hurried in and took the seat next to Alys. He stole a glance at her book and turned to the same page. He looked at the ingredients and the effects of the potion. He wondered why they were covering this in Dark Arts when they already did Potions, but then he remembered Alys' explanation from the previous night, it was simply classed as a Dark Potion and that was why they were doing it. He sat patiently waiting for thier Lehrer to explain.

Re: Lesson Four
Lucian walked into the class and he saw that his favourite young lady was there Miss Romanov, he wandered across the rows of desks and sat next to her, sending a swift smile her way before looking at the ingriedients with a low moan of disapproval.
This was Dark Arts not potions. He was useless at potions.
"Oh dear Merlin, I cannot brew a potion to save my life." he whispered.

Re: Lesson Four
Aquila entered the classroom and moved straight to the back of it, seating herself down and letting her bag slide to the door. She looked up at the teacher and smirked when she said they were brewing dark potions.
She did not enjoy potions, but she found that she was actually good at it, her potion being successful last time in their actual potions lesson. She leant back in her chair and smirked. This lesson was going to be a breeze.

Re: Lesson Four
((OOC - Yes. Any potion. That's why I didn't specify. It's too see how creative you can be.))
It was obvious to Leilah that the students were confused about potions in DA. But the Dark Arts was a many-headed monster. There were many branches and this was one of them. She had also written : 'Lord Voldemort used a Dark Potion to regain a physical body in the year 1994, Little Hangleton, UK' But, she let the class continue...

Re: Lesson Four
(OOC: Thanks!)
The witch scanned the list of ingredients. Honeysuckle, essence of violet, mooncalf fur and melted pure snow... The girl gasped, seeing such familiar ingredients and then looked up to the title of the potion. Sure enough, it was a mild form of love potion.
But why would a love potion be dark? she thought to herself but almost hit her head on the desk the next moment at her own stupidity. of course, it forced someone to be infatuated with another against their will. And the crazy things people did while "in love" were famous throughout history. The blonde grinned, her teacher had a wicked sense of humor.
The potion was by no means as complicated as Amortentia would be but according to the instructions, if brewed correctly, it would keep a person captivated on another for at least twenty four hours. Alys gathered up the ingredients and set about her work, making sure to follow each and every line of instruction carefully. She also made sure to frequently double check her work.
An hour later, her potion had turned a pale shade of green as the instructions said it should and the witch turned off the heat, letting it cool. It smelled wonderful, of chocolate and the beach and roses. The witch inhaled, thinking of home and her parents.

Re: Lesson Four
Leilah watched as the students finished their brews. It was brilliant to know that they were actually brewing this potion. It was complex bt not what they were going to get in their second year. She smiled slightly.
