Tabi had found a spot to sit away from everyone she was trying to be in her own little world. She was thinking about everything that was going on. She was wondering why Pxyis had not shown up yet, surely she had seen Charlotte come in here, what happened to Parker, they had been together before the fighting had began.

Tabi was listening to Haley talk to that Humphrey guy. Tabi could not help but laugh when Haley said that Humphrey was not arrogant.

"Yeah if he's not arrogant, then I am the Queen of Sheba" Tabi mumbled under her breathe.

Tabi had not noticed that her sister had gone off on her own and was crying.

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia was pacing by the front door under constant vigilance making sure that no one who was suppose to come in was coming in.

Next thing she knew is she heard the door open and to her surprise in came Ms. McCartney, and then Ms. Rossmund.

"Oh thank the gods you made it in here you two. You have some very worried friends, come in be safe" Sofia ushered them into the room.

"Make yourself as comfortable as you can" Sofia breathed a little relief that some more students were safe.

Leshia felt the arm of her friend Haley come around her and it felt very comforting. Next to come over was Humphrey, granted she still hadn't formed an opinion of this man. Then when he started listing the people that were not in the room she was confused.

"Charlotte is sitting over there, she is just in her own world and doesn't want to talk to anyone." She was just about to say something else when the door opened and she turned around.

"Tess, Victoria, you have made it." Leshia felt a little better two more people had come in safe.

Tabi finally noticed that Leshia was very upset and was about to go over to her when she noticed that the door opened and then Tess, and some girl she had yet to know come in the door.

Tabi was very glad to see a face she knew so he had to run over to her and throw her arms around her. "I am so glad you are safe Tess, I was hoping you would make it in here."

[Humphrey Williams]

"Charlotte's here, thank God. Hey, you going to be all right?" he asked her. He wanted to go check on Charlotte but he wouldn't just ditch Leshia.

"Tabi, I completely agree with you on that matter. Your sister was really worried about you, you know." he said. Humphrey knew that the Prewett twins were at odds with each other. He hoped they could work it out.

[Airen Auditoren]

Airen burst through the doors of the trophy room. He hoped the others had followed. He walked over to a wall and put his hand on it. He leaned forward and tried to catch his breath. He turned and leaned his back on the wall. He slid down it slowly. He felt tears coming to his eyes. He had seen the Hufflepuff girl ran through with the metal spike. He saw the life leave her eyes. He closed his eyes and tried to forget the image, but the night was quickly filling his mind.

[Humphrey Williams]

"Wait..." Humphrey said after he looked for Charlotte. "Charlotte is not here. Unless she's invisible that is..." he said. Now worry started to take over every other emotion again. Charlotte was the most important person in his life, if she was dead...then some students shifted. "Oh! There she is. Please excuse me..." he said and rushed over to her.

"Charlotte! Charlotte! Snap out of it. Listen, it's me, Humphrey!" he said loudly to her. Still nothing. He decided he needed to touch her to snap her into the present. He gave her a hug and held her in his arms. "Charlotte, I was so worried about you. I am so glad you are okay..." he said. "Listen, about Airen. It doesn't matter, I don't care anymore. I just want all of us to be friends. If you want Airen the, well, I won't get in the way. I do care for you in that way, but I can see that you don't want me as a boyfriend." he forced the words past the lump in his throat.

[Haley Vilde Smith]

Haley looked up as Airen came walking in. He looked sick, and this was pretty much confirmed when he sank to the floor in what looked like excrusiating pain. Tears formed in his eyes.

"Are you okay?" Haley asked hoarsly, tears streaming from her own eyes.

She knew that, of course, he wasn't okay, but it was the only thing she could think of asking. She hoped that the others wouldn't be too far behind him, but she still hadn't seen any movement. She sighed. What did Durmstrang really want? Why were they enemies in the first place? Honestly, why on earth did Haley not know why?

[Humphrey Williams]

"Hey Airen! Get over here and help me with Charlotte. I know why you're freaking out. I saw the Hufflepuff girl die too, but now is not the time. Now come help me bring Charlotte out of her funk." he said. He was being harsh he knew, but now was not the time for being nice.

Tabi was about to comment to Humphrey that Leshia was not worrying about her because they had come in together. Until he commented about Charlotte.

"Charlotte is not here"

Tabi started to panic herself. "What do you mean shes not here, she was here a few moments ago. There's only one way out of here."

Just as she said that she saw Aiden come in the door, so she ran over too him. She saw him collapse on the floor

"Oh my Aiden are you ok...?"

[Haley Vilde Smith]

Haley frowned. "Charlotte is here. Jeez, guys, she never left. She's sitting right in front of you," she said annoyed, looking at them.

Then she turned to Humphrey. "You're being an arrogant prick now," she whispered to him, and him alone, "Just because you can get over seeing people dying, doesn't mean everyone can. Chill, Humphrey."

(OOC: Charlotte is a double-thingy-thing I think. She's both here and out in the Great Hall. The one here cannot speak, but we believe it is her, see? So we don't know that the real Charlotte is still in the Great Hall, while a duplicate is here)

[Charlotte Smith]

Charlotte walked into her room and saw her double, sitting down next to her she sighed softly and placed her head in her hands, the effect of having two of herself next to each other was making her a little drowsy but she kept her there in case she needed her.

Sighing softly she saw Airen and smiled weakly at him, she wanted her father and, she wondered whereabouts he was.

"Uhm guys? That's just a double. She can't talk she's made of paint. I'm here." she said with a faint smile and to prove her point stuck her hand through her doubles head.

She hoped against all hopes that he was okay, and that he was going to be able to come and get her, she felt safer with her father as opposed to all of these people being crammed into each other, it was going to be a hard night.

Charlotte got up and left her double on the seat and she moved towards a little alcove in the room so that she could hide herself away from all the hustle and get her head sorted, sitting on the floor she put her knees up to her chin and hugged her knees.

"This is crazy, has anyone seen my papa?" she asked quietly.

[Humphrey Williams]

"I know that Haley. But now is not the time to grieve. That will happen later. For now, we need to get our heads on straight. You can understand that, can't you?" he asked his Hufflepuff friend.

[Haley Vilde Smith]

"We are eleven year old children, Humphrey! Get that through your mind! The only thing we've done so far is being in the professors way! Don't you see that?" Haley asked him.

There was nothing eleven year old people could do. They weren't even supposed to be in the war. And how many spells did they really know? Fifteen tops, and that included charming things to fly or transfigurate needles into pillows. Everte Statum would probably work, but that was just too little for the skilled wizards fighting now.

Why couldn't Humphrey get that through his head?

[Cobalt Smith]

Cobalt burst into the trophy room without thinking, kicking the door open in his haste to get to his daughter. Instantly he remembered himself and flung up a shield to protect himself from any trigger happy friendly fire,

"It's me! Cobalt Julius Smith!" he declared behind his shield, going through the motions to show that he wasn't someone pretending to be him, "I teach Infiltration here at Hogwarts. Charlotte Smith is my adopted daughter. I have a nose that can smell anything a mile away... oh and I stuck my hand through the gryffindor boy's chest earlier."

Sure that they were satisfied that he was who he claimed to be now, Cobalt lowered his shield and took a step forward. He winced a little bit and glanced down at a nasty look cut in his side. Seemed he'd not dodged the metal spike fast enough. Ignoring his own pain he looked around for Charlotte. Unknowingly, he found her double sitting down, looking like she was in shock. He snapped his fingers in front of the double face, deducing that she was in shock,

"Professor Slytherin... I'm taking my daughter." he told his fellow professor, not leaving it open as a question as he scooped the double up bridal style and carried her to the painting that opened to the third floor, "The defences should be coming back up now. The castle will know that it's under attack so Professor Slytherin, take the students to one of the common room... the castle will lock them down while the danger exists."

With that he opened one of the many portraits and carried his 'daughter' through the passageway.

[Charlotte Smith]

Charlotte looked at Humphrey and stood up. She was going to say something she had wanted to say all evening and she made sure she looked as composed as possible, sternly looking at the boy she flicked her gaze between him and the other students in the trophy room.

"Humphrey. Just because you feel one way doesn't mean everyone else does. We do not need to get our head straight. We like Haley said we don't know that many spells and we'd be more a hindrance than a help."

And she frowned even more:

"And don't you dare shout at Airen for showing compassion for the dead. Maybe you should show a little compassion instead of worrying about trivial matters like whether I'm going to forgive you or not. Were alive. That's all that matters."

Charlotte fell silent and stepped out from behind the pillar to see her father there, smiling happily she moved towards him but he snatched up her double and carried her away with him and her face fell, she was going to call out to him but didn't have time.

Smiling Charlotte knew her double would protect him.

"At least he's alive." she whispered clutching her hands together.

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia was trying to think of a way to relieve some of the stress that was starting to fill the room.

Nest thing she knew was the other body of Ms. Smith had come into the room, so at least now people would not be talking to the one who couldn't talk.

"Know everyone let us take a moment of silence here and give everyone a moment to breathe."

Sofia waved her hand and a table appeared with some drinks and some finger snacks. Sofia was glad that she said stayed to be with these children

Just as Sofia turned around she heard someone kicking in the door and through up protection around the children yelling at them.

"Everyone get back" Yelled Sofia then she heard

"It's me! Cobalt Julius Smith!"

"Damnit Professor Smith, I could have hexed you, did you have to kick the door."

Then he said something about taking his daughter, and in a swoop he was gone not before mentioning to her about getting the students to a common room and staying there.

[Viktor Nickel]

Viktor, knowing that there was a perfectly good open doorway waiting for him, roared loudly as he flung the reductor curse at the wall beside the open doorway. Rock and other debris flew into the crowded room as he stalked further into the room,

"Charlotte Smith!" he roared with a hint of blood lust, "It is time to die little girl!"

Seeing the tail end of Cobalt Smith running through the tunnel previously hidden by the portrait, he growled and charged through the trophy room, exiting the room quickly after Cobalt. Of course, he'd not come alone into the trophy room...

[Konig Nickel]

As his brother charged straight through the crowded trophy room, Konig wandered in through the demolished doorway. The reason why he wasn't panicked or rushed however was that he held a struggling eleven year old boy in a headlock in front of him, his wand held close to the boy's temple. With his back against a wall, a human shield and sickly green light at his wandtip, Konig had the advantage and everyone knew it. He motioned with his head,

"Professor Slytherin." he greeted the woman in slightly accented english, "I wish to fight you and you alone."

He scowled and held his wand closer to the whimpering human shield,

"Send the children and the nurse through the portrait right now or the little boy dies."

[Lucia Henley]

Lucia barged in through the open hole the moment one from the Durmstrang school had forced his way through. Her heart was in her throat. She then saw another one walk in.

"Send the children and the nurse through the portrait right now or the little boy dies."

That was what the man said. Lucia turned to the students. "Get a move on! Charlotte, get them to the Slytherin common room instantly. Go, now!" she yelled.

Then she turned to the man. "I won't leave before that boy is in my hands," she said coldly.

Of course, she had every intention of returning. Not necessarily to their battle. But to the Great Hall.

[Konig Nickel]

When the nurse stood up to him he merely raised an eyebrow. She was doing exactly what he wanted though so he didn't do anything to the child he was holding. However, when none of the children moved immediately his eyes narrowed,

"Now." he hissed dangerously, the sickly green light almost touching the boy's skin, "You have until I count to three..."

His eyes narrowed as he moved the wand tip ever so slightly closer to the squirming boy's temple,

"One..."

[Airen Auditoren]

Airen's head snapped up at Charlotte's voice. He was overjoyed that she was safe. He gave her a weak smile. Had he been in a better state, he was sure his smile could outshine the sun. He stood up from his spot in the middle of the group that had gathered around him. He looked at Humphrey, not with hate or anger, but in a way that his eyes seemed to cloud over. The ice-blue eyes turned a foggy shade of their actual color.

"If you'd lived through my past, saw through my eyes, and did what I was forced to do, then you wouldn't be so quick to tell others to grieve for later," Airen said cryptically and monotonously. He brushed past Humphrey. Walking over to the alcove, he knelt beside Charlotte. He took her hand gently.

"Are you alright?" he asked softly. He felt guilty for all that she'd had witnessed tonight. He wished that he could take it all away and make her life overflow with memories of love and happiness.

When the two Germans entered, Airen quickly breathed deeply. He put his hand on his sword, but seeing the hostage, he stilled his hand. He took a deep breath again. He slowly backed further into the alcove.

[Charlotte Smith]

"Hai Professor!" she said quickly. "I'm okay Airen, but don't leave me okay? Promise?" she said, scared a little.

Charlotte jumped up and nodded her head, fist clentched and she ushered the people around her out of the room as quickly as she could, making sure that she was the adult in the situation she gathered everyone she could:

"Everyone please follow me! Walk in a group and nobody wander off okay? It's only a short while until we get to the common room."

Moving swiftly through the hall Charlotte waited until the last student was out of the room, she didn't want to leave anybody behind, running to the front she began to lead them all at a rapid pace down to the dungeons.

"Quickly everyone we dont know where any German forces might be, the quicker we move the better ne?" she asked seemingly to herself.

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia was about to send the children into the portrait that lead into the potions common room. She had known about the secret entrance for a long time. Before she had a chance to do it Viktor Nickel had rushed threw the door and followed Colbalt.

Damnit she thought he had broken the door good and she had to get the children out of there once again she turned to the children only to Notice Viktor's brother Konig come through the door holding one of the students.

"Professor Slytherin." he greeted the woman in slightly accented english, "I wish to fight you and you alone."

Sofia was more in shock than anything, not that she wasn't prepared to fight she wanted to stay and make sure the children were safe.

"Send the children and the nurse through the portrait right now or the little boy dies."

Sofia looked over at the children then back to the young man he held in his arms.

"Fine Nickel have it your way, let the boy go." Sofia had a look of confidence on her face.

Sofia looked over to Aiden. "Aiden I need you to take everyone threw that portrait over there." Pointing to the other portrait.

[Konig Nickel]

Konig smirked as he saw some of the students making their way to the tunnel. His wand tip moved ever so slightly closer to the boy's temple,

"Two..." he hissed at them, knowing that neither adult or child would do anything to endanger the boy he had wrapped up in a headlock, "Zwei in my tongue..."

He leant closer to the boy's ear, his eyes never leaving Sofia and Lucia,

"You see how they do not care boy?" he cooed into the vainly struggling boy's ears, "You see how they wish you dead? Were you a bad student? Oh I think you must have been..."

The little boy began to cry freely now,

"P-please professors!" he sobbed out to Sofia and Lucia, "P-please... save me...!"

Konig squeezed his arm tighter, chocking the boy slightly as he grinned wickenedly at the two professors,

"That's quite enough out of you my little crippled bird..."
