Parker smiled back at her. "My thoughts too, and even though some of the older ones are 'damsels' they still fight back."

As she explained, he smiled a bit embarrassed and nodded. "Well when you're half raised by an old woman, you end up being pretty gentle yourself I suppose.."

He felt himself sigh when she hugged him again, when he had then smiled at the tank. "What you thinking about?" she asked as she let go of him and he shrugged. "It's nothing really. Just- well, I found this snake in me backyard before coming here and I thought he was just an ordinary snake when I took him as my pet. But he's not. And- I dunno, it's kind of interesting."

Pxyis nodded in agreement, grinning.

Pxyis ruffled his hair when he said that. "You're adorable. Honestly, I like you much better than any other boy i've ever met. They're all nasty and rude, but you're just adorable." Pxyis teased lightly, smiling so that he knew she was joking.

Pxyis pursed her lips as she listened. It sounded like he was talking about the snake being his familiar or something. "Let me try something." Pxyis said, leaning towards the snake. "Voldemort." She whispered, and the snake instantly hissed. Pxyis looked up at him curiously. "How interesting. Do you think the snake could be your familiar? I don't know much about familiars, but that sounds like it could be it." Pxyis shrugged.

Parker laughed a bit and pulled his head away as he always did when she ruffled his hair. "I think we both need to get to know some better guys then. That Airen guy seems nice enough, he's an exception too, right?" He smiled, and he realized he wished he'd gotten to know some other guys in their year. He didn't even know Airen other then being paired up with him in class one day.

He shrugged at her questions. "I dunno. From what Tess and I were talking about in the common room one night, maybe? Maybe just an interesting coincidence though." He sighed. "You know, even though I read some of the books I still don't get the whole connection of Voldemort to snakes entirely. Is it just cause it's the Slytherin symbol or...?" Parker also remembered seeing a picture of him when reading and the man looked a lot like a snake as well, he found it to be really creepy.

Pxyis nodded when he asked if Airen was an exception. "Yes, Airen's nice. I'm glad he's friends with Char. Though, if there was ever a guy I hated, it's Humphrey. Such a trouble maker, and so annoying." Pxyis snarled, she hated Humphrey for hurting Charlotte.

Pxyis laughed when Parker was confused by Voldemort's connection with snakes. Pxyis had always prided herself on knowledge of wizarding history, she loved to learn about it.

"Voldemort was a parseltongue, it means he can speak the language of the snakes. He's a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, who was a parseltongue as well. Which is why Slytherin's animal is the snake." Pxyis explained.

He groaned and nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I agree. There was something really off with that guy. I mean, even the rudest of people would know what he did wasn't right. "

He gave her a curious look when she laughed, wondering if he'd said anything funny, and listening raptly as she explained. His eyebrows raised and smiled brightly. "Wait- Parseltounge? There's really a snake language?? Does that mean Professor Slytherin can speak it too?"

Pxyis shook her head. "He was a loser, a snob, and thought he was so amazing at everything. He just walked into every classroom announcing his presence and that he's a Hippogriff animagus. I don't get it, how is he an animagus at the age of 11? And he was a muggle-born before that!" Pxyis frowned. "It takes YEARS of practice to become an animagus." She sighed.

Pxyis shrugged. "Most likely." She said. "And yes, there is. It's just a lot of hissing, and you can't learn it. It doesn't make sense to non-parselntongue's." Pxyis said.

She looked out the window and then checked her watch. "We're going to get there soon." Pxyis looked down at her Slytherin uniform. "I should probably get changed, be right back." Pxyis then left the compartment and wandered off to get changed in the bathrooms.

Parker rolled his eyes at the memories of him doing that. "As I said, something was really off with him."

He let out a bit of a disappointed sigh when she said it couldn't be learned. "Well, any language doesn't make sense if you don't know it." He then looked when Pxyis checked her watch, and nodded when she stood to leave. "Oh, alright-"

Pxyis had changed into her favourite muggle clothing - her white tank, purple hoodie, navy skinny jeans and sneakers. Pulling her wavy hair into a messy high ponytail, Pxyis left the bathroom and wandered back to her compartment.

Slipping into the compartment, she sat back down next to Parker and tucked a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. "Alright, anything interesting happen while I was gone?" She asked. Remembering what he'd said before she left, she laughed.

"Oh right. Well, obviously, but seriously nobodies ever learnt Parseltongue." Pxyis explained quickly, leaning back against the chair and sighing. "Oh merlin I don't want to go home at all."

When she walked back in and sat down, Parker was reaching down into the tank with his snake, setting it back down, then sitting back up and looking at her. "Well, how many Parseltougues are there anyway?" He found it very interesting, and wondered if there were other people out there that spoke other animal languages.

He groaned. "I don't either... and since were close I should change too. Be right back." He then went out and to the bathrooms himself to go change.

Pxyis shrugged. "No idea."

When he said he was going to get changed as well, Pxyis nodded. "Okay." She nodded, and whilst he went to get changed she pulled her Salazar Slytherin locket out from her pocket.

Pxyis clipped it around her neck and held it up in her hand, looking at it carefully. She adored the locket, it was quite attractive and she felt truly proud to where it, being a Slytherin herself. She thought it was much nicer than a goblet, or a diadem, or a sword.

Parker changed into his usual jeans and a button up plaid shirt. Walking up and down the corridor he saw many of the other students, seeing some of the other friends he made, some of them sitting alone. He sighed as he neared his way back to the compartment. Opening the door and sitting back down next to Pxyis, he slouched a bit in the seat,

He looked at her seeing the locket. "Hmm, What's that?"

Pxyis looked up as he opened the compartment door and looked at his shirt. She adored plaid shirts, and his looked nice on him. "Nice shirt." She muttered, letting her locket drop from her fingers, and she frowned when he slouched in the seat.

Deciding to ignore the obvious back problems it was cause, she looked confused at his question before remembering he was muggle born and grinning.

"This is Salazar Slytherin's original locket, and previously was Voldemort's horcrux." Pxyis said, a slight proud tone in her voice.

Parker looked down at his shirt as he took his seat. "Oh- er, thanks." He looked back at her noticing her frown, but didn't say anything for she grinned right after.

"This is Salazar Slytherin's original locket, and previously was Voldemort's horcrux." She sounded very proud of that. While owning something of the founder was really cool, he gave a confused expresson. "Er- horcrust? What?" He looked at it and reached over to it, wanting a closer look, it slipping his mind to actually ask to see it.

Pxyis thought it over as she wondered how to explain it. She really didn't want to, for she only knew due to reading books her parents had hidden from her. She sifted through different facts and tried to come up with ways to say it that didn't make it sound terrifying.

Deciding there was no way she could explain without it being creepy, she sighed.

"Well, um. A horcrux is when you... split your soul and put it into an object. That's not the part im proud about, by the way." Pxyis laughed.

He gave her an even more curious look. "Wait, that's...possible?" It wasn't as if he wanted to know the details, but the whole concept of it blew his mind. Why would any one be mad enough to think of such a thing let alone do it? What a terrifying thought- what would have even been the purpose for such a thing anyways? What that why the man looked less then human?

Parker held it in his hand, turning it over. "And...you said it previously was. Is it not anymore? Or- sorry it's just- wow..." He looked at it a bit longer then pulled his hand away.

Parker looked bewildered beyond belief, and he probably didn't realise it but he looked absolutely blown away. Obviously, it was hard to believe that was possible when you were a muggle-born.

Pxyis shook her head when he turned her locket over in his hand. "Nope. A horcrux can be destroyed by Basilisk venom or fiendfyre. This was destroyed by the sword of Gryffindor, which only takes in what makes it stronger, and Harry Potter once shoved it through the mouth of a basilisk so it took in the venom, but luckily this can easily be repaired so it was and now it's just an ordinary locket again." Pxyis explained.

Suddenly, the train came to a stop and Pxyis sighed. "Looks like we're here." She mumbled, getting up and grabbing her trunk. She pushed through the crowds out onto the platform, where she looked through the crowds. She couldn't help but be filled with hope that her parents might've come, but those hopes were crushed when she saw her nanny waiting for her.

Pxyis shoulders slumped with disappointment as she turned to face Parker. "How are you getting home if you live in Ireland?" Pxyis asked, tucking her Salazar Slytherin locket underneath her jumper.

Parker still didn't understand the whole horcrux business, he didn't really expect himself too. The whole story behind it though seemed really interesting. It was a bit unnerving to him that such dark magic seemed like it would be easy to gain knowledge about since the war.

When the train came to a stop he sighed as well. He grabbed his trunk and his snake tank and walked out after her onto the platform. He was still trying to look for his parents, when Pxyis spoke, her voice sounding a bit disappointed. . "How are you getting home if you live in Ireland?" Well, the same way I got here, a cab and a ferry. He continued trying to look for his parents, then looked at her as they walked further from the train. "Are your parents picking you up? or...?"

Pxyis grinned at him, excitement lighting up her eyes as her upset at having to leave him behind and join her family faded. "A cab? Is that the yellow thing? The taxi? And i've been on a ferry, its so much fun!" Pxyis squealed, morphing into her excitable personality that rarely shone through, considering she was often annoyed by overly excitable people.

There was a loud cough next to her, and Pxyis looked up at her nanny. Her nanny was in her mid 30's, with completely straight black hair, olive skin and murky brown eyes with a thick set of lashes around them. Pxyis frowned and held up a hand. "Hang on, Nancy." Pxyis snapped, turning back to Parker apologetically.

"Where are me manors?" She drawled sarcastically. Pxyis did love Nancy, but Nancy was one to re-in force her mother and father's 'polite' ways of life. They weren't polite at all, they just involved her acting like a typical pureblood, which was something she would not do.

Parker being a muggle-born did NOT make him scum, and so she smiled at him with a wink and turned her eyes back to Nancy. "This is Parker, Parker Emery. He's from Ireland. Parker, this is Nancy Clemmens, my nanny." Pxyis said in a bored tone. It was her tone her mother and father expected her to use, and Nancy was always telling her what her mother and father said, trying to help her win back their love.

He smiled back at her. "Yeah, a taxi. And ferry's aren't too fun for me. I get sea sick- even if it's only a short ride."

Parker looked over too when he heard the cough, and raised his eyebrows at the way Pxyis spoke to the woman. Parker looked between them when Pxyis introduced him, giving a small, polite smile, not knowing if he should really say anything to her.

He was still trying to keep an eye out for his parents. They had to be here. No matter the inconvenient to them, they had no one else to come and get him. He hoped they, or even just one of them, would not be too late.

Pxyis could see the desperate way in which Parker's eyes scanned the crowds, and the disappointment when he obviously couldn't find his parents. Pxyis frowned, hoping that his parents would actually show up. She was more than happy to take him home if they didn't, but it would be ever so heart-breaking.

When Nancy insisted that they go home now, for her parents awaited her arrival, Pxyis refused. "But Pxyis," Nancy protested. "They have begun to love you, have spoken in a proud tone of you. Ever since you got into Slytherin. If you leave them waiting too long, they may think you are the same, annoying child that they thought you were before!" Nancy exclaimed. All Nancy had ever really wanted was for Pxyis to be loved, and it touched the blonde girl's heart.

But, the love of her parents after so many years of neglect was dismissed from her mind at the thought of leaving Parker at the station with no way home. Pxyis looked up at Nancy and sighed. "My parents have neglected me for to long for me to abandon my best friend for their fake love that only exists due to what house I am in. I am sure they would not care for me if I was in Ravenclaw." Pxyis snarled, a frown on her face but it quickly vanished when she turned back to Parker.

Looking down at her watch, she licked her lips and looked back up at Parker. "Tell you what, they don't show up in 20 minutes im taking you home myself." Pxyis said, her tone stating that this was not open to negotiation. "And if they give you trouble when you get home, tell me, alright?" Pxyis continued, flipping her hair over her shoulder as she smiled at him.

Parker sighed and looked down, feeling uncomfortable with the way the two spoke to each other, especially as if Pxyis were just an object to her parents and love was an after thought. The whole idea of it, to Parker was a bit unsettling. What if she had been hurt, even killed because of the events at Hogwarts? It seemed to his as if they just took advantage of her presence and he desperately wanted to believe that that wasn't true.

He looked up at Pxyis when she seemed to snarl at her nanny then looked back at him, glancing at her watch. "Tell you what, they don't show up in 20 minutes im taking you home myself." He frowned and started shaking his head. "No, Pxyis-" "And if they give you trouble when you get home, tell me, alright?"

"Pxyis, really, me parents are just busy, they're on their way. They've just got work and all...so they're late." Suddenly he felt his heart drop as a thought came to him. What if there was just a cab waiting for him out there? Prepaid and all. He bit his lip again, looking out among the crowd, desperately hoping that was not the case, and trying to search out for either one of them.

Pxyis could tell Parker was albeit a bit confused by her exchange with her nanny, who she dearly loved but was often annoyed by. She smiled charmingly at him as she offered to take him home, but her smile was replaced with a frown as he refused.

Pxyis frown deepened when he said they were just busy, and she knew it was an out-right excuse, especially by the way he suddenly looked sad and desperate as his eyes scoured the crowd again. Softly, Pxyis slipped her hand inside of his and squeezed it once. She reached her other hand to grab his chin and tugged his face so that it was facing her.

She let the hand on his chin fall, but clutched his other hand in her own tightly as she tried to offer comfort. "Nancy, please excuse us a moment." Pxyis mumbled to her nanny, who nodded and headed off with Pxyis luggage. Pxyis watched as she walked away, before turning back to Parker and smiling. "Parker. Listen to me, I really care about you. I truly do, and I don't want you to stand around waiting for people who aren't going to come. I'll take you back to my manor, and before mother and father see you i'll floo you back home." Pxyis explained.

The hand that was slipped in his own she suddenly pulled out of his grasp and placed it over his heart. "I swear to you, Parker, that I will always be there for you. Through thick and thin."

Parker looked down when she grabbed his hand, and looked at her when she tugged his face, nearly wanting to pull away. As she gripped his hand tightly he held back just as tight, letting out sigh as she shooed Nancy away as he felt his throat tighten.

"Parker. Listen to me, I really care about you. I truly do, and I don't want you to stand around waiting for people who aren't going to come. I'll take you back to my manor, and before mother and father see you i'll floo you back home." "But- Pxyis, I know they're coming, they've got to. What- what if they do come and I'm not here?? They'll be furious that they wasted the money." He took a deep breath, feeling anxiety overcome him. "And- and plus, didn't you say one time that floo doesn't connect to muggle homes?" His mind was filled with what-ifs. He had no clue what was going on with his parents, as he'd not written them the whole time. He didn't know for sure they were coming but as obligation as parents, they should, right? They couldn't just assume he'd get home fine.

He looked down at his feet as she pulled her hand out of his and placed it on his chest. "I swear to you, Parker, that I will always be there for you. Through thick and thin." He took a short breath, looking up at her once again. "Then...can we just check outside the platform and the station to make sure they aren't here?" Parlker couldn't get the whole idea of the cab out of his head and he just needed to check, just to be sure.

Pxyis smiled warmly at Parker as he came up with what if after what if. Shaking her head, she let her smile fade a bit as she looked at him right in the eye. She loved his eyes, they were so intelligent and gentle, un-like other boys. Everything about Parker was different to other boys, and she felt sad that his parents didn't show appreciation for such a special child that they had.

It made her blood boil and her vision become tinted red with anger. How dare they leave their son to speculate and worry over whether they would actually show up or not? It was just downright rude. Not that she could talk, her parents sent their nanny instead of coming themselves, but at least she had someone. "Don't worry Parker, I said some people have their floo network blocked off, and some muggle houses are protected from the floo network." Pxyis explained. "But there are other ways, Nancy could take us via side-long apparition." Pxyis suggested.

Letting her hand drop, she nodded at his question. "Sure, we'll go check. If there's absolutely nothing there, then im taking you home. And if you're parents give you trouble about it, owl me and i'll come explain." Pxyis grinned, hooking her arm through his and tugging him along. Nancy had emerged from the barrier again and eyed the two curiously. Pxyis explained what they were doing, and Nancy said that she would come with them.

Pxyis stared at the wall and took a deep breath, before running at it with Parker in tow and going straight through it, into Kings Cross Station.

He was continuing to worry and come up with reasons in his mind for why they were late when Pxyis suggested other ways of travel. He didn't know what apparation was, but he'd ask her about that later. He felt himself sigh when she said "Sure, we'll go check. If there's absolutely nothing there, then im taking you home. And if you're parents give you trouble about it, owl me and i'll come explain." He'd be devastated if they really had not come for him. He was just eleven, able to do magic or not, they should have come whether they had some important meetings or whatever.

He went along with Pxyis as she hooked her arm in his and dragged him along to the barrier and explained to Nancy what was going on. When they got through to King's Cross station, he continued to look around among the large groups of people, hoping he'd see one of his parents, knowing he'd not. "Can we go out to the front?"
