Re: Going Home
Pxyis could feel Parker's anxiety rolling off of him as they emerged on the other side of the barrier, and yet again she watched as he scanned the crowd. Smiling at him in a way of comfort, she tugged him towards the outside. "Yep. Let's go outside and check." Pxyis dearly hoped for his sake that his parents had shown up.
She could imagine his pain and anxiety right now, for she had experienced it last year. She had joined muggle hip hop with her friends, and her parents had assured her they would come to her concert. However, as she arrived in the small theatre, she could clearly see that the chair's labelled: 'Pxyis' Parents' were empty, and even though she did the performance to her best abilities, thinking they were there, she felt dis-heartened when she realised they were not.
The pain that she had felt when all of the other parents hugged and told their children had stung at her, even when her friends parents assured her she was brilliant. She had waited for them to pick her up for a whole hour, and then another hour until the whole dance concert was finished, and yet they hadn't shown. One of her friends had been in the last performance, the ballet one, and so she had offered to take her home.
They stepped outside and Pxyis breathed in the fresh air. Except, it wasn't as fresh as she remembered. Being at Hogwart's had taught her what it really meant to breath in fresh air and feel free outside, now she felt slightly claustrophobic with all of the bustling people. "Are they here?" Pxyis asked.

Re: Going Home
While his anxiety was rolling off in waves, he did feel a little better when Pxyis smiled at him and told him, "Yep. Let's go outside and check." While he'd never really gone out places where he needed to be picked up, if he ever had gone out with his parents he always had to walk quickly to catch up, but never had he been outright abandoned like now.
When they stepped out he took in the crisp air, he looked around among all the people and to the street nearby where some cabs were beyond the bustling groups of people shoving their ways into and out of the station. He turned his head back to Pxyis when she asked, "Are they here?" and then looked around again, slipped his hand out of hers."I'll be right back...I just need to check something." He left his stuff by her as he walked away towards the cabs. Such a stunt would seem much like his parents, as they'd cabbed him home from his grandmothers the few times he'd been there as they were too busy to pick him up.
He walked along the edge of the street to where the cabs where. When he passed by one, the window rolled down. Parker stopped and looked over and then around at those walking around him. The old man behind the wheel asked if he was for Emery. Parker felt his chest sink and he timidly shook his head and hurried away from the cab. He was clenching his fists, his nails digging into his palms, as well as biting the inside of his cheek to hold back and hide just how terrible he felt as he walked back to Pxyis, eyes lowered to the ground.
Before she could ask anything he just shook his head, speaking quietly, his eyes still trained to the ground. "They're not..."

Re: Going Home
Pxyis nodded when he said he'd be back, and she stared at all of the people. She saw all different types of people, short ones, tall ones, blond ones, brunette ones, and she even spotted some wizards and witches due to their robes. They were in-conspicuous enough that a muggle would just think they were nutter's.
Pxyis looked down at her hands and picked at the dirt underneath her nails, annoyance clear on her face. Her fingernails were always stuffed with dirt, and it was probably because she didn't mind getting down and dirty. She enjoyed it, especially since it irked her parents but they never said anything. Most of the times.
Pxyis looked up to watch Parker as he walked along to the cabs area, and she looked away again as a bird flew right by her. She ducked her head and mumbled 'Crazy bird' as it did so. She watched as an argument broke out between a group of people, and one of the girls slapped a boy and stormed off. Pxyis rolled her eyes at how dramatic girls could be sometimes, knowing that she could also be a bit of a drama queen. It didn't bother her that much.
Her eyes flicked upwards along with her head as she heard rapidly approaching footsteps, and she saw Parker with his head bowed. She knew something was wrong, and before she could ask he choked out two words that were all she needed. Her arms were instantly around him and she held him tightly, rubbing his back as she buried her face in his shoulder. "Is there a cab waiting for you?" She mumbled, feeling so sad for him. Right now, she could murder his parents.

Re: Going Home
Returning back to Pxyis, he felt her wrap her arms around him, holding him tight as he let out his breath. It felt a bit hard to talk so after a moment when she asked "Is there a cab waiting for you?" he finally chocked out. "Yeah.." He didn't want to just go sit in the cab. He wanted to sit with his parents, just his mum even, and tell her all about his year. He had been months without seeing them or talking to them, even writing them. He missed them far more then he thought and just wanted to be with them again.
He hugged Pxyis back tightly. He wished they could have had just a bit more time together, but he knew now was the time they had to part ways. He had to go back to the cab and make the silent trip back."You won't forget to write will you?" he mumbled before pulling a way a bit.

Re: Going Home
Pxyis could tell he was distraught, and she held him even tighter, rubbing soothing circles into his back as he responded with a 'yeah'. She was horrified, how could they just send a cab for him? It was the most horrible thing a parent could do, send a CAB to pick you up instead of taking the time to pick your child up for yourself.
It was like they were letting Parker know they didn't care for him, and they didn't even care that he was coming home. Neither did her parents. She could completely relate, and though she had her nanny it just wasn't the same as stepping off the train and telling your parents all about your times at Hogwart's and having them smile at you as you told them. She knew how he felt right now.
Pxyis felt reluctant as they pulled away from one another, and she handed his trunk to him with a sad expression as he mumbled a question to her. She smiled weakly and felt tears in her eyes. "Of course I won't. Have a... nice... holiday, Parker." Pxyis choked on her words and hugged him again, kissing his cheek as she stepped back again. "See you at Hogwarts."

Re: Going Home
Parker felt as if his parents really could not care. As f they could not be helped to waste their time with the whole magic thing, therefore Parker himself. They'd probably not even be waiting on the other side of the ferry ride for him, or home though he wished at the very least for that.
He looked at his trunk, taking it when Pxyis handed it to him. He looked up and tried to smile back, seeing that she was about to cry. He hugged her back tightly once again, feeling his chest and throat tighten. "You...you too." As she stepped away, he looked over to where the cab was still waiting. He sighed and gave a small smile to Pxyis as he walked away. Waving to her after his things were packed and he was being driven off.
