Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila grinned at him with a mischievous glint in her eyes. Oh how she would enjoy this immensely.
“I am, aren’t I?”
She said with an air of snobbishness, but she rolled her eyes to show that she was paying out those who were up themselves. She looked across at Lucian as he offered a hug and rolled her eyes, choosing not to respond. The reality was that he was un-fairly gorgeous, but she would keep that information close to her chest.
“Yes, I am cold.”
Aquila whined and crossed her arms over her chest with a ‘huff’. She regretted slipping into the water now, and deciding to make him suffer with her she flicked her hand in a very subtle movement that she hoped he didn’t notice. The water washed over his head, and focusing on her minds hand she lifted the water up, causing a huge wave that crashed him onto the deck. She let out a breath through her teeth and panted, her hand over her mouth so he couldn’t see.
She turned away from him and held back a groan. She made a note to practice her magic more so that it wouldn’t be as draining to use her powers.
“That was interesting.”
She said after turning back to him once regaining her breath.

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Lucian raised an eyebrow at her accent but chose not to comment, it was quite funny anyway to hear Aquila talking in such a way, smiling slightly he swam around in a circle, more like treading water, until he got bored and faced Aquila to speak.
"Oh yes, hilarious, you should be a comedian and have a show called the 'Let's Bash Lucian's Face' Show. It'll be a hit." he joked
Pouting slightly when he was refused a hug Lucian wrapped his arms around himself and stuck his tongue out at Aquila, as if to say that I'm getting a hug anyway, so neh.
"Awwh you're so mean, you wanted one really." he smirked
Again the water seemed to have a life of it's own and when he was ducked under the water Lucian hadn't had a chance to take a breath and so in surprise released it underwater, cursing slightly he bobbed up again and was smashed onto the deck with another wave.
Groaning a little he just lay face down on the deck while he summoned up the energy to move, now cold and his face was in pain.
"Interesting is one way to describe it..."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila tapped her chin thoughtfully as if she really were considering it and began to count fake figures on her figures, 'hmm'ing and 'ahh'ing constantly as she laughed on the inside.
"You know, I think that would work. Though we'd have to fix up that face just a little bit, I think its illegal to have such ugliness on a show."
She teased gently, but immediately felt bad. She wasn't sure what had brought this overwhelming guilt, but perhaps it was all the cruel things she said to him piling up. It was all meant in good will, but sometimes she needed to stop. Especially when he was so kind as to be her friend. With a sigh, Aquila swam over to his side and enveloped him in a quick hug, a light blush spread across her cheeks as she moved back.
"Sorry, Luc. I don't mean to be like this, im just so used to it."
Apologising made her feel a lot better, but she would feel even better if he accepted it. She honestly wouldn't be surprised if he didn't.
"Isn't it? There's a ton of words that spring to mind right now. Like amazing, weird, wacko and hilarious."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Lucian put his hand over his heart and gasped lightly, that was a harsh one, quickly he recovered from the initial burn but he was left wondering if when he got his seal broken he should change the way he looked to something different and more attractive.
"Awwwwh owch," he said with a pout "I didn't know people found my face that offensive, I'll wear a bag over it next time I come out in public."
When he saw Aquila swimming over to him, Lucian raised his arms up out of the water in an 'I surrender' Gesture hopefully she wasn't coming over to splash him with more water or slap him around the face for something. So when she hugged him he was pleasantly surprised, he put his arms down and hugged her back.
"Don't worry about it, I've got an extremely thick shell Aquila, I've lived with my sister for years, you're like her in a way, sarcastic and pretty." he said with a smile "So don't pout it'll give you wrinkles yeah?"
Glad that she seemed at least to feel better after apologising Lucian smiled at her: "Oh yeah, the fact you almost just knocked me out I'll forget, cause I'm nice that way."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila rolled her eyes at Lucian, but decided to flatter him after her initially cruel and un-deserved words of hurt. She knew that if the roles were reversed she would have been most displeased with Lucian, but secretly would have agreed with his words.
Aquila looked down at her reflection before talking to him and frowned. She didn’t like anything about herself, she was nothing special. She modified her appearance in her mind and ended up looking nothing at all like her real self.
“Oh hush, Luci. Im only joking, erm, if im being honest you’re quite the... looker.”
She struggled to say the words, her cheeks turning a bright red as she fiddled with her hair and tugged on it nervously. She only wished she could look more like Violeta, maybe then Lucian would like her. What in the name of? She screeched at herself in response to that particular thought, and she shook her head once. In the softest mumble, she darned Lucian for his handsomeness.
Surprise made itself apparent on Aquila’s features as Lucian called her pretty, and she smiled softly. In an attempt to make herself not look like a gushing, happy, normal girl, Aquila snorted with laughter.
“Ah, I think i’d like this girl. Sarcastic you say?”
She rolled her eyes at the wrinkles comment and ran a hand over her forehead as if she could rub away any threat of wrinkles.
Aquila tilted her head, panic gripping at her as he mentioned her almost knockin ghim out. Had he seen her using her powers to do that?

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Lucian raised his eyebrows and decided to file this moment away in his mind, he was actually just given a compliment by Aquila, this was indeed a Dear Diary moment, and he decided that it might not be a good idea to tease her about it.
"Thank you Aquila, I know I am and now I just have the final proof that I need to say that I am officially good looking." he said, flipping his hair back flamboyantly.
Seeing the way that she was blushing, and fiddling with her hair, Lucian was glad that he didn't tease Aquila, it seemed like she was really genuine about what she was saying to him and he was glad.
"Seriously though, thank you."
Wondering for a moment if Aquila would want to remember, Lucian decided that she might hit him if he didn't tell her, he said with a grin: "You did meet her, she came to see if I was alright at the ball? You didn't talk much to her though."
Lucian picked up on the nervous tone to Aquila's voice and was a little confused: "You were the one that splashed me right? And ducked me under water?"

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila sighed as she looked down at her hands which were interlocked. She twiddled her thumbs as she awaited his response, worried he would laugh at her and be nasty. She looked up in surprise, a very happy smile on her face as he thanked her. At his joke, she rolled her eyes and patted him on the head again.
"Alright, Luci, but don't be too up yourself. You know i'll bring you down if you are."
She joked and wiped water off of her cheek. Aquila nodded her head in response, not sure what else to do. She wasn't used to this whole telling the truth and having a friend business. It was un-known ground to her.
"Erm, you're... welcome?"
Aquila laughed at herself and face palmed as she giggled. She remembered now, the very pretty girl who had arrived and she had shown to Lucian. She remembered that day vividly, and her laughter ceased immediately. It was all her fault for being so sensitive, and she held back a sigh.
"Oh yes, I do remember now. Though I didn't really get to know her, I was to worried about you..."
Aquila rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly. She also wasn't used to caring about anyone other than her mother.
"Oh, right."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Lucian was beginning to quite like the patting on the head, it could be thought of as some sort of gesture of affection, it was a change to have someone who did that, as opposed to wanting to snog his face off.
Pouting slightly Lucian nodded his head in defeat: "Yes Miss Wilson." he joked
Unable to stop a small grin when Aquila didn't really know what to say, Lucian didn't comment on it because he would probably get a slap round the face, or at least another splash with water.
A small smile graced Lucian's lips and he shuffled closer to Aquila:
"Awwww thank you, although it's nothing I'm not used to really, I am a bit of a hot head when it comes to things, or people, rubbing me up the wrong way. But you don't have to worry about me, tough as nails I am."
Rolling his eyes a little Lucian ruffles Aquila's hair: "Don't be so touchy, it's fine."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila poked her tongue out at him in response to him calling her Miss. Wilson with an annoyed sound. She felt as if she were a lehrer, and she didn’t like that at all. Though she may be bossy, she most definitely did not have the patience to be a teacher, and she had no desire to teach annoying children all day.
If she were ever to be a teacher, she would probably be considered scary and crazy much like The Sweeney, whom was a teacher that she liked against her better judgement.
Aquila rolled her eyes at Lucian.
“Mhhm, so if I were to use my best efforts you wouldn’t get mad at me at all? Somehow, I highly doubt that. I annoy people easily, and they often loose their temper with me. Even my mother is easily annoyed by me, though I don’t think thats rare.”
Aquila hissed as he yet again ruffled her hair. She combed her fingers through the wet, wavy locks before sighing. She was glad that at least when her hair was wet it wasn’t curly. She felt a sudden weariness wash over her, and she blinked once as her eyes drooped. The world span before her, and it took her a moment before the familiar feeling was gone.
“Stop. Ruffling. My. Hair.”
She hissed, though she felt her head droop again as the feeling washed over her once more. With another blink, it was gone. “Hmmph.”

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Lucian smirked slightly and thought about all the buttons that Aquila could press in order to get him angry and wished that he didn't say that, now he would have to take it back and that would make him look stupid. Sighing a little he shrugged his shoulders.
"I suppose if you really tried there would be things that you could say that would make me angry, although they would be pretty low blows that I don't think you would take."
Chuckling a little, Lucian added: "Mothers are often annoyed by their children although many of them don't show it so freely."
When he saw that Aquila looked a little queasy, almost like she was about to faint, Lucian made a move to catch her but was glad when she seemed to snap herself out of it after a while, otherwise he wouldn't know what to do.
"Why. Should. I?" he asked, ruffling her hair more after every word that he said, grinning everytime he did so a little wider then, deciding to be a little bit meaner he pulled out his tongue: "Great used of adjectives uh-huh, reall in depth comment there Aquila."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila smirked back at Lucian, wondering what he was thinking about. She pursed her lips and sighed, knowing that Lucian was right even though she didn’t want to admit it. She knew Lucian was tough, and she didn’t want to see him angry, especially not at her. it would most likely be frightening, and she’d let him beat her up if he wanted too because she’d probably deserve it and - ENOUGH, Aquila, she snapped at herself.
“I don’t think i’d want to stoop very low. Besides, it would make you angry at me if I made such low blows, and I don’t really want you to be angry at me.”
Aquila grinned in agreement. Her mother was always annoyed with her, because she enjoyed to do simple things that frustrated her. Like put her feet up on the table, not clean her room, spill crumbs all over the floor and that sort of thing. Her mother was very up-tight and a clean-o-holic.
Aquila snarled in a very un-lady like manner as he continued to ruffle her hair, meaning she would have to spend longer in the shower to get rid of the tangles. Her hair tangled really easily when wet.
She grabbed his hand and growled again, fixing him with her most venomous glare as he commented about her ‘hmmph’. It made her even more frustrated, but she calmed herself with a breath and stuck her tongue out at him.

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Lucian was happy when Aquila told him that she didn't want him to be angry at her, it meant that she thought of him as a friend that she didn't want to upset, and it was moments like this that made him realise that it was worth sticking through the abuse.
"I couldn't promise that I wouldn't, although, there would be somethings that you wouldn't even know about me to pick up on, and those things I don't tell anyone...so don't worry about it."
Raising an eyebrow when Aquila snarled, Lucian backed away and put his hands up in the air, hoping that she wouldn't bite him or something.
It seemed as if he had upset her by what he said, after all, he was a little bit mean and he realised that he too needed to improve on that if he needed to get new friends.
"Hey hey I'm sorry if I upset you, I didn't mean to."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila nodded her head. She knew that Lucian had secrets, and that didn't bother her. You could be best friends without telling one another EVERYTHING, although she suspected that Lucian may get a little annoyed at her for not telling him her secret. It was rather big after all, and greatly involved her life.
Ah well.
"Don't worry, I don't care if you have secrets from me. I have secrets from you, if we were completely honest with one another then where would the mystery be?"
Aquila winked at Lucian and cracked a smile. Now that she had started thinking about it, it was bringing a real downer on her mood and she shook her head, the thoughts seemingly flying away with the movement. Aquila laughed when he backed away, her annoyance evaporated.
She reached out and grabbed his hand, tugging him back towards her before she released him with a roll of her eyes.
"Don't be silly, im just sensitive about my -" she paused for a moment, her lips pressed together in a thin line as the pain washed over her. She would have to go soon, before she became to weak to continue talking. "hair."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Lucian grinned slightly and nodded his head, that was true, there needed to be some sort of mystery around a friendship as long as it didn't corrupt it and get in the way of the friendship developing and being honest with each other about everything.
"Very true, I do like a bit of mystery myself on occasion, and it's just a great co-incidence my best friend and I are very mysterious." he smirked, meaning him and her.
With a large smile Lucian gladly walked over to Aquila as she tugged him in that direction, it was nice to be able to be himself and goof around with someone. Seeing Aquila roll her eyes Lucian stuck his Tongue out.
Lucian noted that Aquila might be in some sort of pain and decided not to ask lest it turn out to be 'that'.
"Well it's some good hair, you should be proud. Want me to walk you home or something?"

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila smirked back at him. She loved how his smirk wasn't nasty, frightening or intimsdting but rather a natural thing about him. It was, un like Felix's, rather friendly. Not really friendly, but not menacing either.
"Indeed we are rather mysterious people, aren't we?"
Aquila said this in a thoughtful tone. It was true that there was something big about Lucian that he was keeping from her, and something bg about herself that she was keeping om him. Actually, tow things if she was being honest.
Aquila rolled her eyes at the comment about her hair, assuming that he was being sarcastic. She smiled at his offer and nodded her head. Her house was only a few streets away.
"Sure."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Lucian nodded his head with a small smirk growing on his lips, if only she knew just how mysterious he was, although he was a little worried that she would find out and would shun him because of it, like so many others had.
"Uber mysterious, like, we're so mysterious, I'm sorry but we may as well just be ninjas. Besides, ninjas are cool...I wouldn't mind being a ninja when I grow up." he joked
Getting up from his seat, Lucian checked that he had everything in his pockets then smiled lightly and held out his hand to Aquila:
"Would you like a hand up mi'lady? And where is it that you live anyway?" he asked slightly abashed he didn't know.

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila rolled her eyes at Lucian. A ninja indeed, she thought. The idea made her want to laugh, even though ninja's were 'uber' - as Lucian might say - awesome.
"Oh yes, definitely ninja material. Im taking secret ninja training so I can be a ninja when im older." Aquila said in a playful voice.
Aquila took his hand and stood up with the aid of himself. She pointed down the street as she flicked her wet hair over her shoulder and curved her hand as she gave brief directions.
"Go down the road, turn left, take the second right, then halfway down that street is a two story, yet cozy house. That's mine. Immaculate gardens, courtesy of mum." Aquila released his hand and began to walk in the direction she'd pointed out.
"Come on."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Lucian's eyes widened and he looked at Aquila with mock wonder in his eyes and he began to bow down to her as if she was the most amazing thing that he had ever witnessed.
"Wow! I can't believe it, I never would have known if you hadn't have told me."
Sticking his tongue out Lucian fazed out and tried to remember the directions that Aquila told him, that was one of his down sides, he could never remember directions.
"Right so..we go straight on, then we take a left? Then the second right? Yeah I've got this." he said proudly.
Beginning to walk in the direction that she told him Lucian rolled his eyes slightly: "I'm going I'm going."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila rolled her eyes and grabbed him around the neck when he bowed, her other hand ruffling his hair before she released him with a grin. She pouted at his now incredibly messy hair, he'd lost his charm.
"Deary me, look at your hair! It looks horrific now, I feel terrible."
Aquila giggled at him and reached up to flatten in out again. She combed her fingers through it until it settled nicely on his head and she beamed again. With a muttered 'much better', she was ready to go.
Aquila grinned at him.
"Clever boy, aint cha?"
She spoke in a patronising tone as she led the way, before waiting for him to catch up. She looked up at the rapidly blackening sky and frowned as a drop of rain fell onto her cheek. She didn't fancy getting caught in the rain, so she looped her arm through his and dragged him along at a fast walk.
"C'mon you, its gonna rain in a second."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Lucian pouted slightly as he was held and his hair ruffled, he could feel it getting ruffled out of it's natural shape and he raised an eyebrow as it was also patted back down into shape, feeling much more like himself he stood up and swooped a hand through his hair, letting it naturally fall back into place.
"You like ruffling my hair dont you Aquila? I suppose it's revenge though for all the times I will do it to you in the future, and the times that I've already done it."
Chuckling slightly, Lucian nodded, agreeing with Aquila's statement and he allowed himself to be dragged along by Aquila, having to at first catch up with her as she had walked a way ahead of him, at least he didn't have to remember where to go.
"I like to think that I am, however, many people would disagree and say that I'm pure genius." he sniggered.
With a small smile he allowed his arm to be looped and he patted his hair as it got splattered by the rain, humming lightly he shrugged;
"I've just been in freezing cold water I don't mind a bit of water." Lucian chuckled and slowed the walk down with an evil grin.

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila huffed and protectively covered her hair with her hands. She didn't want it to be ruffled again, it would get even more tangled if he did so anymore - especially if it was wet. She stuck her tongue out at him, she would try her best not to let him ruffle it again.
"Yes, it is revenge. If you ever get to ruffle my hair again, that is."
She grinned and hummed a random tune under her breath that she made up on the spot. She huffed as he made them slow down and she stopped altogether, glaring at him. She knew that if she wanted, she could dunk him in water and ask if he was still fine with a little more rain, but she felt that was cruel and instead pulled away from him and dashed off ahead, not before calling out to him:
"Fine then, stay behind!"

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Lucian grinned when Aquila made to cover her hair, it was something that made her look a little bit cute, even though he knew he would get a swat to the head for even thinking about it like that.
From two girls most likely.
With a small sigh he watched as she ran away from him and he rolled his eyes to himself before quickly dashing off to catch up with Aquila, after all he would look a little bit stupid if he just left without saying goodbye properly.
"Hey wait up! Don't run away so fast you know with my sense of indirection I wont be able to find you again." he joked "Besides I want to see what your house looks like, it tells a lot about a person."

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila giggled as she heard his footsteps behind her, and when he called for her to wait up she slowed her pace ever so slightly until she moved into a stop. She knew she shouldn't've done that, her chest ached now but she took a couple of breaths and smiled at him.
"You're so slow. And don't you dare judge me on how my home looks, its all my mother I tell you! I have nothing to do with that darned place!"
Aquila didn't want him to think she was some garden-obsessed neat freak who adored ancient armchairs on the front porch, small houses that looked perfectly normal and perfect balconies. Their house was small, with two floors that only had 3 rooms on each. Many thought a two story house was a big house, but hers was not.
Aquila could envision her own house when she moved away, it would be a medium-sized home that overlooked the water or was one of those houses that was on the water with the poles holding it into the sand. It would be made of wood, and it would be homely, cozy and a bit messy. She smiled at the thought of it.

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Lucian smirked a little bit when she said that he was slow, he was a litle slower these days because he wasn't getting any energy from people like he used to, but that didn't matter to him, he was conscious though that he was getting more and more human each day.
"Alright I wont judge you on the exterior of your home I promise, although I might wrinkle my nose a little bit if it's covered in gnomes or something, I hate those ceramic things."
Shuddering even at the thought he rounded the corner with Aquila and looked at the house, it wasn't so bad to him, although it was not his taste and he looked at Aquila in a sideways glance;
"See, this is my 'I'm not judging you face'" he grinned "Go on go in before it starts raining then." he smirked.

Re: The Thinker (OPEN)
Aquila agreed with Lucian completely. She hated gnomes, and could never fathom why anyone would find the creepy, fat little men interesting. People whom collected them were usually old and creepy, so she didn't think that a normal person would actually want to unless they were weird.
"I agree, luckily my mother doesn't find them all that interesting."
Aquila watched him carefully as her house came into view and she pointed at it to motion that it was hers. He smirked at her after he spoke, and she rolled her eyes with her hands on her hips.
"Good. I guess i'll see you at school if I don't see you before. How are you going to get home before it rains? My house is connected to the Floo network if you want to use that."
