Working on animagic and powers (Closed)
Haley walked out into the big garden that belonged to the ancient castle. She sighed when she looked behind herself. The castle was huge and worn out. Being alone in that place wasn't always the most comforting thing to her. But right now it was good. Now she could practice.
Holding still, placing her wand on the ground in front of her, she squeezed her eyes shut and felt a tremble through her body. She focused even more as she felt her back struckture changing and she leaned forward, seeing feathers sprouting. Her arms got much smaller and almost seemed to vanish.
When she couldn't change further, she noticed how her back was still too human. The featers were twisted in different directions and nothing seemed like it was supposed to be. She had to work on that.
Haley turned herself back and soon stood straight. She then took a deep breath and looked up at the sky. Then she looked around herself. No one or nothing that could get damaged was in the way. Well, with exception of herself. She blew out the breath and drew in a new one.
She shut her eyes tightly and opened them quickly, looking at the sky again. Her arms immediately started swaying as the wind quickened. She cracked her head many times, and for every time, the wind grew stronger. Her arms then raised in front of her as her hair whipped around her face. She felt some raindrops falling into her face and then turned into a splashing rainstorm. She grinned.
Then the wind picked up even more, and Haley was almost blow off balance at the rush. The rain came down even heavier and she shut her eyes quickly, trying to keep the powerboost back. Clouds started rolling up, thicker and thicker. Then the first thunder sounded. Haley gritted her teeth and tried to gain control again. Lightning struck down into a tree nearby. She clenched her hands into fists and kept fighting the power.
Then, finally, the wind ceased and the thunder stopped. The rain lingered, though, until the tree was put out of flames. Haley panted and sank to the ground. She swallowed.
"I need to work on that," she said calmly, deciding to come back in the morning.

Haley walked back outside the next day. She looked around, checking. She saw a group of people entering the castle for the tour. Of course, on the public side. No one was allowed in on these parts. It had, of course, happened that someone wandered off from the guides to explore or simply got lost. Of course, Haley didn't believe them since the entire castle was filled with notes like 'admittance prohibited'.
But she didn't care at that moment. She walked towards the lake. She smiled as she looked at it. It was so still. She sighed contentedly and then closed her eyes taking deep breaths. She calmed herself down to a low pulse and let her hand dip into the water.
Her body then started shivering again. But something was different now. When her back cracked and her head widened she felt different. She looked at her hands and saw them change completely. Her entire body grew different. Her hands seemed to shrink back into her body that was changing rapidly.
Two second later, Haley was standing on her back feet. But it wasn't feet. She looked into the water and saw her reflection. She gasped, but the sound was so much more different. The first thing she noticed was how much bigger she was than what she believed eagles looked like. Her body was covered in brown feathers and her head was that white color. She felt like smiling, but the beak didn't show it. Her eyes, on the other hand, did. They were a sharp, yellow-golden color.
She had to laugh. She couldn't not laugh. But instead of her regular laughter, a cry that eagles usually made croaked from her beak. She laughed even more at that. Then she spread her wings. She was mesmerized by how big they were. Feeling like her heart was swollen with happiness, Haley bashed her wings and she lifted slightly from the ground. Then she fell back down. She chuckled, and a soft, crooning sound left her beak. She bashed her wings again and again.
Suddenly, without knowing how, Haley was flying around in the air, twenty feet off the ground. She was as happy as she could ever have thought she could ever have been. She loved this. She was flying, for Merlin's beard and all it was worth!
Then, when she had been in the air for at least an hour, flying around everywhere, she was getting ready to land. She sailed sharply to the ground and leveled with it before hitting it. Then she used her wings to slow her speed by flopping them against the wind. Then she landed. It wasn't the best land. She still had too much speed. She fell to the ground and did a spin, landing on her back. But she was okay. It didn't hurt too much. Then she returned to her own body. She grinned widely.
Then she looked up at the sky. The sun was almost setting. She figured she could train on her weather skills tomorrow.

Re: Working on animagic and powers (Closed)
Haley walked out again, third day. She sat down in front of the little lake. She then crossed her legs and took a deep breath, clearing her mind. What did she want to learn? What did she want to be able to do in Divination by the end of the year?
Well, she wanted to know how to read in crystals, but she doubted it would be easy, no matter how much she wished she could. She just wanted to learn how to be able to read the precise art of Divination. She wanted to be good in the subject. She wanted to be able to read tarot cards.
She had searched them up, actually. The tarot cards. She really was most fascinated by the High Priestess, but they were all pretty interesting. She wanted to know more about them. She then smiled, thinking about how she could be able to give a reading to someone who didn't have Divination. However, the only friend Haley had that didn't take Divination was Charlotte. That's when she realized how terrible she had been at making friends the past year. She would have to fix that.
Then she looked up at the stars, seeing Orion's belt placed above her like it used to be the last few weeks. But it differed from being bright to weak, of course because of occasional clouds. And somehow she felt like it had gone slightly to the other side. It was not directly above her anymore, like it had been. Of course, this could just be imagination, or it could be that she had moved a bit to another spot nearby.
Haley rose after staring at it for a while. She squeezed her eyes shut and then raised her hands above her head. She felt drops of rain falling down. When she opened her eyes, she couldn't see the stars anymore. Clouds had covered them. The night then flared up for a second when lightning struck. Thundersounds came directly after. Haley frowned.
She crouched down, putting her arms around her knees and placing her head between them, nothing but her shoes, which were of elastic plastic, touching the ground. Then the thunder stopped. She looked up and sighed.
"Thank God," she thought. It really wasn't good that she couldn't control it more. She needed to train much, much more.
