Stones [Open]

Eilee sat, her back propped up against a headstone. Sh didn't bother to find the name as she twirled her wand about her fingers.

"Lumos," she whispered watching the tip light up. Dropping her wand on the floor carefully she touched her fingers to the light's tip and extracted it. In her hands was a glowing orb that she juggled in her hand before she closed her hand and it dissipated. She leaned back and picked up a stray rock before throwing it at another headstone. It ricocheted back at her and she caught it before it could hit her in the face. she threw it again but this time at the headstone beside her once target and watched as it hit the new target, then bounced left and hit the old one before coming back at her. She lied back on the headstone closing her eyes.

The angel glided silently down and landed near Anthony's grave. Walking to it she knelt in the dry grass a warm smile on her face. "Happy birthday!" she whispered tracing his name with a delicate finger. "I wish I could take you with me, let you things I see. There was a girl, this little girl chasing butterflies in a field one day. She was just so happy I loved her at once!" she told him. "Oh, and I saw this thing, called a suspension bridge, it was a marvel I wanted to stay and watch it hang there forever cars, the metal things people ride about it, driving to and fro on and off it over the water. I stay for nearly two months, they are just beautiful and their lives!" the angel sighed as if in a dream.

Tears suddenly sprang into her eyes. "There was a fire Anthony, man was trapped inside. I flew into the window and sat with him, he was trapped you see. I couldn't lift the beam, I couldn't save him! Why is there death?" she sobbed to the babe she had never known in life. "His funeral was lovely. I cried." she explained wiping at her tears. "And have I told you about the endless fields of flowers? They aren't just meant to be placed here, on graves, the grow and live oh Anthony it's-" she paused, a sharp snapping sound catching her ear. Rising she walked towards the direction it had come from. Hearing it again, this time in double she pinpointed it's source and stood gazing at a small girl leaning upon a head stone. She was so lovely, the angel stood and watched as she did whenever she found something lovely.

Eilee opened her eyes slowly before she almost shrieked at the sight before her. Large wings supported a framed woman standing over by a grave. She wanted to scream but she calmed herself. She smiled weakly. What was the woman standing before her? In her village there was no such thing as religion.

"Hi," the wings though; that was the most magnificent thing. They were large and looked amazing to her sight.

"Hello!" the angel said a smile on her lips. "You're lovely!" she sighed crouching beside her. "I didn't mean to disturb you, I just like to watch. I'm new." she smiled. "The world is beautiful and I love it, I tell Anthony all about it. I think he likes it when I do." she explained motioning to a grave behind her. "I was with him for years and years but now I fly!" The angel liked this, she never really spoke to anyone but Anthony, she didn't know why people just seemed frightened by her. Her eyes lit up, "Have you ever seen the suspension bridge? It's my favorite!" Stretching her wings as far as they could go she flapped them several times, it felt so nice.

Eilee's heart calmed down. The fantastically calming sound of the wings flapping reminded her of her home; Triberg. All the grown fairy people were so spectacularly beautiful to her.

"You're wonderful too," she admitted shyly but smiling non-the-less. She tilted her head again and blushed slightly. "Could you take me to the suspension bridge?" She asked still slightly shy.

"Yes!" the angel exclaimed her eyes going wide as she gripped the girl's wrist. "You stand and wait and watch and people, beautiful people just live and walk and drive and argue below, I love it, it's my favorite!" she said again. "I will say good bye to Anthony first." she said before running back to a grave on which birth and death were marked of the same year. "Good bye Anthony, I love you, I live for you, and I will return!" she smiled and kissed the head stone lightly. Eyes shining she rushed to the girl and picked her up under her arm pits. Giving her wings a few mighty flaps she prepared to take off.

Eilee wondered more about this unamed person. But she couldn't deny her excitement when she felt and heard the wings flapping of the angel.

"Wow really?" She asked. She imagined the look on people's faces and giggled slightly. "Let's go then!" She exclaimed. Her nerves were gone and replaced with excitement instead for the upcoming event.
