Post by Jaycie Simple Fri Feb 17, 2012 11:21 am

Jaycie realised the Slytherin girl was talking to her. Her eyes widened. "H-hi..." she said, tentatively making her way over. "I'm Jaycie Simple." Her hands played a nervous thumb war with each other, and she smiled half-heartedly back at the girl. "It's lovely to meet you, Corina," she said quietly.

"I guess I really do like it here," she replied, voice starting to be a little more audible. "It's very pretty, Hogwarts is." Jay was starting to like being noticed. Invisibility certainly was not one superpower she'd choose to have, because she already hated being unnoticed by almost everyone.

Tessa could sense that someone new was near her.

She just smiled a little bit. " I am Tessa Grey." Tessa was starting getting used to making friends at Hogwarts.

"Hello, Tessa. I'm Jaycie," Jaycie greeted in her soft, small voice.

It wasn't long before Jaycie noticed Xander enter the scene. Recognition fluttered behind her eyes as she remembered her mother singing at his family's function one time. She hadn't realised he was her age. Jay wondered if he'd recognise her, too. She blinked a few times before smiling sweetly at the two girls who had started talking to her.

Jaqui frowned at the sight of Tessa. Many alternatives had sprung to mind, but Jaqui could not see this class working for Tessa without extreme difficulty. She walked to the group and cleared her throat loudly, a hand resting on her hip. She knew that none of these students knew of her, so she decided it would be polite to introduce herself.

"'allo and welcome to Care of Magical Creatures. I am Professor Girard, and I would appreciate if you called me zat. For zis lesson, you will be studying ze animals in ze pen. Zey are called kneazles, and zey are like a muggle cat, except zey are intelligent and fiercely loyal to zere witch or wizard. Zis lesson is merely a pleasure lesson. All you will 'ave to do ees play with ze kittens. Do not forget 'ow zey act, and make sure to take notes if you want to be prepared for next lesson," Jaqui then consulted her list.

"In ze pen on my right, ees Jaycie Simple and Corina Lavonne. In ze pen on my left, Damien Greene and Xander Clarke. Off you go, oh, but Tessa I wish to speak to you. Please remain behind."

Tessa then started to blink a little bit. She really didn't know what the Professor Girard wanted to talk to her about. But she had a feeling that it had to do with her taking this class. She thought that the Professor would think that this class would be hard for her since she couldn't see. But Tessa always loved a challage.

Kneazles? Awesome! Jaycie's father had once had a kneazle, before her sister was born, and she used to love to play with the cat. She made her way over to the pen with the fluffy kittens in it, who were bowling about hyperactively, chasing each other down and knocking against the pen walls. Cautiously, Jay opened the pen door, trying not to let any get out, and set down on the far side. Immediately she was greeted by at least two noses sniffing curiously at her. She grinned, making mental notes on how inquisitive the magic cats were.

She scratched the ears of a ginger one, and it purred loudly, leaning into the palm of her hand, eyes closing in delight. "You know what?" she whispered. "I'm going to call you Geordie." There was a tiny 'meep' of agreement from the little yellow furball and it climbed into her lap, purring louder and louder with each passing second.

"Professor Girard," she called lightly. "I think this one likes me!"

Damien saw Xander walk over to him and ask why he was in sure a mood.

"Girls man, Its always the girls." Damien just wasn't used to girl being rude. But then she was a Slytherin girl so how could he expect anything different.

Then the teacher assigned them something to do so he thought he better check it out. Damien hated school but knew he had to get good grades or it would be his arse.

"Well Xander we better get started." He said as they walked over to the kneazles just what he wanted.

"Well it has four legs and fur, what else does she want to know?" Damien laughed

Jacqueline smiled at Tessa, but then quickly remembered that she couldn't see and a frown replaced the smile. She gently placed her hand on Tessa's shoulder. "Tessa. Zis class, eet will be very 'ard for you. But, I assume zat you 'ave special books zat you can run your fingers over to read? For zis lesson - you know 'ow to write, oui? Well, you will just record ze feeling of ze animals, and if you can understand any of their actions towards you, zat would be wonderful. I warn you zough, Tessa, without sight, you will most likely 'ave to drop zis lesson in 5th year." Jacqui then excused herself to see what Jaycie was saying towards her.

She saw one of the kneazle's on her lap, and was most surprised. Normally, a kneazle was friendly but not quite that friendly, only ever that friendly to their master/mistress. These kittens had no master or mistress, so obviously that kitten had chosen Jaycie. A small smile arose to Jaqui's features. "Ah, you 'ave made a little friend. Well, Jaycie, zis ees most unusual, but eet means zat ze kitten 'as chosen you as 'er mistress, so eef your parents are alright with eet, you can keep 'er."

Tessa frowned a little bit cause she could feel the Professor's frwon. " Yes I do have a special book, and I knew that taking this class would be hard." She knew that it would be hard for her to write, cause she couldn't see the paper. But she then rememebr a computer in the muggle study class. And maybe their was a program that when she talked it would type for her. " But the reason I took this class, I wanted to prove that just because your blind. Doesn't make you helpless.

She had walked over to one of the pens. Tessa thought she could feel Damien watching her. Slowly she found where she could unlock it and opened it a little. Tessa then sat down and decided that she would let them come to her. Which it wasn't long before she had a curious little kitten in her lap.

Tessa then started to pet it. " I bet you can sense there something diffferent about me." She smiled, this is why she loved animals. They would never judge her, and liked her no matter what. She let out a small laugh. " Well I have to say that I like you too."

Moving towards Jaycie she entered the pen. Looking at the Kneazles she smiled softly and kneeled by Jay. Reaching out to pet the small cat, Corina lowered her guard and truly smiled. Scratching the cat behind its head and then under its chin, She noticed the kneazle was black and had blonde paws along with a blonde tail. Giggling to herself, she watched as the Kneazle nuzzled her hand.

Damien was looking over at the creature when he heard Tessa making her way over to where they were. He unlocked the gate for her even though she didn't realize he had did it.

He found it really curious that she walked into the pen and sat down with them. He looked over at Xander and laughed a little

"I guess she wanted to get up close and personal with them." He said to Xander.

"You know I am much better to cuddle with than those things. You know they are just four legged animals with fur..right?"

Tessa started to pet the kneazles. " Yes I know, they are scared of a little kitten."

" Well considering I have to write how they feel, yes I want to get personal with them." Tessa smiled as she remember her cat that had just died. But she wasn't going to think about it know. But the kneazle could pick up on this and started to butt her face, as if to tell her it would be alright."

" You may think you are better to cuddle with, but kneazles are very loyal creatures."

Damien could not help but laugh. "Loyal, they do not know the first thing about being loyal." Damien caught onto her remark about the dang fuzzball being more loyal than him.

Well he needed to get a feel of the creature so he picked on of them up just like he would have a cat. Apparently they didn't like to be picked up like that and it scratched the heck out of him.

Damien dropped the creature fast " Dang thing, I thought they were suppose to be like cats."

Damien glanced down at his hand and the blood was dripping off of it.

Tessa laughed. " Come sit next to me, I will help you. She continued to pet the one in her lap.

" You just have to know how to act. And I think they caught on to you."

She was grinning. This was something that she was better at, and she couldn't even see.

Jaycie stared down at the fluffball in her lap. "Really? She's all mine? Oh wow." She couldn't stop smiling. "I'm sure mum won't mind, and Jenna'll love you, little Geordie," Jay said, tousling the fur under her chin.

A thought struck her as the kneazle rolled onto her back, exposing her soft belly. "Well, if you chose me, then it's more like I'm yours, huh?" She giggled and the baby purred in agreement.

She couldn't help but notice how happy Corina seemed in the pen with the cats. Jay grinned too, happy that she was enjoying herself.

Post by Xander Clarke Sat Feb 18, 2012 4:34 pm

When Damien mentioned girls all Xander could do was nod. He didn't know him well enough to talk about his own girl problems, but at least they could agree that girls=problems.

He walked over to the pen indicated and sat over in the corner. He took out paper and a quill to write about them, and maybe attempt to draw them. As his attention was on a few of them in the middle he felt a small tug on the back of his robes. Turning around he found a small stormy gray kitten trying to catch Xander's hood in his mouth. When Xander just looked at him, the kitten decided to start climbing.

Honestly, Xander had never been allowed a regular pet. Grimm had been a gift late in the summer, in preparation of school. He hadn't had much time to bond with him though.

The kitten finally stopped on his shoulder, watching his quill intently. Xander, not really understanding what the kitten was doing, almost jumped out of his skin when it pounced onto his quill, landing in his lap with a stunned look himself.

"I guess you're no good at this thing either, eh?"

Post by Guest Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:35 pm

Damien looked down at Tessa sitting on the ground when she offered to help him.

"Damien does not sit on the ground." Damien saw a stool over to the side and slide it over by Tessa.

"So what do we have here?" He took a moment before he placed his hand down and petted the kneazle that was sitting in Tessa's lap.

"So what can you describe to me about it?" Damien asked more curious than anything how she sees things being blind.

Tessa laughed. " Ok fine don't sit beside me."

She then smiled. " Is Damien to scared of getting dirty?"

" Yes I can describe this. The fur is very soft. This one can tell that I am blind, but I guessed that. Because most animals can pick up on these things. The kneazle then started to bat at Tessa's hair.

Damien looked down at the stool and then back at her.

"Had silly girl, I am sitting beside you, on a stool. No I do not get dirty unless the moment call for it."

He watched as Tessa was petting the creature and telling Damien how it feels.

"Well what about a smell, does it have a certain smell to it." With the information Tessa could provide he should get a good grade.

Damien could help but laugh but he had to make is jab somewhere. He bent over and whispered in her ear. "Ok Ms. Smarty Pants..What color is it?"

Tessa smiled. " Then why don't you sit down beside of my, I won't bite."

She continued to pet the kneezle. Tessa was enjoying this.

" He smells like a kitten does." She knew Damien would ask her more and more questions.

She then started to grin. " He is black and white. I can feel color Damien."

When she said she could feel colors this really intrigued him.

"Just how can you feel colors. I know you can feel course or soft, but not whether it is black or blue."

This was very interesting, he was still glad he was not blind.

"I am still not sitting on the ground, my stool is just fine." Damien laughed "I would be more worried about me biting you, than you biting me."

She was used to this reaction by now.

Tessa smiled. " But you need to get close to the kneazle."

Damien looked down at the ground then back at Tessa, then rolled his eyes and then got down on the ground.

"Just so you know, you owe me big time for this." He whispered into her ear.

"What do you mean that every color has a different feel?" This was just too weird, different feel. He thought soft was soft and hard was hard.

Damien had to smile. "That's good because I am expensive." He had to laugh

Damien reached over to pet the the kneazl, as he did he he brushed Tessa's hand which sent a shock through him.. He was sure that she had to have felt that.

Damien could not explain what had just happened, he might have to look into it.
