Lesson One - Second Years Empty Lesson One - Second Years

Post by Richard Romain Thu Feb 16, 2012 10:27 pm

Richard wandered lazily into his classroom, not particularly excited about having an entire new school year in which to be plagued by annoying little children. It got worse every year but thankfully his second years were going to be a little bit more mature.

Hopefully.

Maybe.

God, he just hoped they hadn't gotten stupid over the holidays.

Lesson One - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Second Years

Post by Charlotte Smith Fri Feb 17, 2012 5:44 am

Charlotte was actually quite excited for this lesson because she really wanted to see her uncle again, she hadn't seen him all holiday and it had made her a little bit upset but she didn't really have much time to think about it since she was so busy.

Opening the door to the classroom Charlotte smiled widely as she saw him and walked briskly to the front to hug him swiftly.

"Uncle Richie! I'm so happy to see you again! Did you have a nice holiday?"

Charlotte got out her equipment and sat at her desk with a small smile playing on her lips.

Lesson One - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Second Years

Keiba skipped into her Transfiguration class, eager to start. She gave Professor Romain a one-finger salute and a grin; she really liked Transfiguration. "Hello, sir!" She saw Charlotte and gave her a little wave. For some reason, today she was feeling exceptionally excitable.

She sat down and got out her inkwell, quill, textbook and notebook. Keiba figured sitting in the front row would help her concentration this lesson. Secretly, she'd also pulled out a sugarquill to nom on while she waited for the class to start, and she put it in her mouth, dissolving the yummy, sweet white feathers. Maybe that's why I'm so hyper... I've had like a gazillion since breakfast...

Lesson One - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Second Years

Salina hugged her books to her chest as she made her way through the corridors, her thoughts distracted otherwise. She could not focus on one topic in her mind for more than a few minutes, and her nerves were a jumbling mess. She couldn't comprehend anything she thought about, and she guessed it was due to her lack of sleep. Her lessons had already begun to bring her down.

She entered the classroom and stifled a groan with her hand and the other Ravenclaw, Keiba. She looked excitable and happy, something Salina was most definitely not. She moved straight to an isolated corner of the room and dumped her books down. She took her seat and rested her head on the desk.

Pxyis hummed to herself as she made her way to Transfiguration. She may not be the most amazing student at it, in fact, she wasn't very good at transfiguration at all, but she did enjoy it. She entered the classroom with a rare smile that had not graced her lips for many weeks, and took her seat happily.

She knew that Professor. Romain had been disappointed in them last year, and she wanted to at least be a good student. There was something about him that made you want to impress him, but Pxyis shrugged it off.

Some people just had that vibe.

Airen walked into the classroom. He looked around and saw that Charlotte, Pxyis, and two Ravenclaws, whose names escaped his memory, were already there. He saw that Professor Romain seemed to be waiting for the last bit of students, and he hoped he wasn't holding the lesson back.

He sat next to her, and gave her a little wave. "Hey, Charlotte, how are you doing?" he asked.

"Buon pomeriggio (Good afternoon), Professor," he said as he got out his parchment, quill, and ink.

Lesson One - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Second Years

Post by Victoria Rossmund Sat Feb 18, 2012 3:53 am

Victoria hurried to class, not wanting to be late. In muggle school she didn't much care how she did, but Hogwarts still seemed like a dream come true and she didn't want to mess it up in any way.

As she entered, a few students were already there, as well as the teacher. He seemed to be in an...occupied...mood, so she simply took an empty seat and got her things out. The last lesson on Hedgehogs had been quite fun, so she hoped this one would be as well.

Lesson One - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Second Years

Post by Parker Emery Sat Feb 18, 2012 5:12 pm

While he had struggled last year, Parker hoped he's do better this time around. For him, transfiguration was just plain difficult. How could he try to imagine something for anything other then what it was? His mind just simply struggled to grasp the concept.

He made his way down the corridor and into the class, a blank expression over his features. He let out a quiet sigh and drew his eyes down as he slinked over to his seat to a back corner of the room.

Richard smiled a little when Charlotte came up to him and gave him a quick hug. He'd missed her during the holidays, what with both of them going off on holidays to other countries,

"Hello there Char." he greeted her brightly, smiling happily, "I hear you've had quite the summer! You'll have to tell me about it some time."

When the rest of the class was assembled, Richard stood up in front of the desk and clapped his hands a little bit, signifying that he was changing from light-hearted to teaching mode,

"Alright class, today is going to be a light lesson to get you back into the subject." he pointed at Pxyis, "Miss Wilson! What valuble metal cannot be made using transfiguration?"

keiba sat on her hands while Professor Romain fired the question at Pxyis. She knew exactly what it was, but she was going to let Pxyis answer it... cause, well, it was her question! She bit her lip and wriggled around to stop herself blurting out the answer rudely. Know it all, said a little voice at the back of her head.

Shut up, Brain, she countered.

Victoria could see Keiba squirming in her chair. Probably has the answer. She smiled and opened her book.

She had read some of it over the summer, and thought she recalled what it was, but searched for it on her own, just to make sure. Turning to the correct page she grinned and waited for Pxyis to answer.
