The Girl With No Name (Parker and Corinne)

After awakening earlier in the week, Corinne had managed to convince Healer Henley that she was able to return to school and her classes. She was excited for her lessons, as she held no memory of them and she wished to meet new people once more. She had signed up for a variety of classes, and in a very UN-usual way for Corinne, but not to this girl who was forced to be her, she had been studying to make sure that she was up to it all in class.

However, she had tired of skimming through books and decided that she was well due for a walk. With her books stowed away in the suite she shared with two girls, Tess and Tabi whom she both felt kindly towards, she had retreated from the common room. Her eyes flitted around nervously - blue eyes that many had stared at curiously. She had a picture, of course, one of herself with a girl that looked just like her. She'd found it within her trunk, and saw that the one that must be her held brown eyes like the other girl that looked like her also. She had noticed the small differences between the two and had been able to tell them apart that way. She'd only spoken to Tess and Tabi when she had been invited to share their dorm, and she had immediately felt warmth and friendship within Tabi.

Corinne looked up in surprise as she realized she had found herself outside, a gentle breeze lightly brushing across her skin. The outskirts of the Forbidden Forest looked appealing to her, and she found her feet dragging her over to them. She peered curiously through the trees, wondering what lied within.

This year so far hadn't gone so well for Parker. While there were moments of reprieve, for the most part, he'd just been involved in arguments and drama all around. Not to mention that since the summer Pxyis had seemed to be mad at him for one reason or another. He'd been beginning to think he just couldn't do anything right, so why bother? Though a talk with Haley brought up the idea of making holiday gifts for everyone. He thought it a brilliant idea since he hadn't the money to buy anything.

He'd needed a walk for some fresh air anyways. To clear his mind off all the things that had been happening. He shouldn't be feeling so negative about everything, but he couldn't help it. He walked aimlessly for a while, looking around at the ground and grasses, as well as the trees and anything else he happened across to use in his gifts. They'd probably all just consist of some collage of unique plants and flowers or other little things that reminded him of his friends. He'd planned out some earth toned, woodland idea for Haley and he already had a light blue flower for Pxyis. He needed to look around for some more things, thinking of his friends, and trying not to worry about the problems they were having.

He walked until he came across the same area as where he found the flower, along the outskirts of the forbidden forest. He'd met some odd sorts of people last time that had come from within the forest, and he began to wonder what really lay inside. He checked around, even though he knew no one else was there, and he made his way between the trees. He walked along the stretch of trees, still staying right along the edge by a few feet. As he walked he heard a sound and stopped, looking around. He heard another movement and looked out towards the outside of the forest, seeing a dark head of hair poking between the trees and he froze.

Corinne saw a hint of movement within the trees, and her eyes widened as she stumbled backwards. A strange creature emerged, and she saw it briefly before it vanished into the darkness. She almost went inside the trees to follow it, when she heard the cracking of a twig and she twirled around, her hair whipping around with her as she saw a Slytherin boy. She had come to recognise if she previously knew this person well by the emotions she would feel around them. There was a very faint feeling of sympathy, which meant she'd seen him once or twice and felt sorry for him. She wondered why.

She straightened up her back and noticed the strange things within his hands. She moved towards him casually, a small smile on her face as she looked at the bundle in his arms. She looked back up to him curiously and smiled. "What ees all of zat stuff for?" She asked, stepping forwards to inspect it further.

Parker froze when she looked at him, staring at her back. Wait...that was-that was Corinne?! He looked at her with a dumb expression as she straightened herself up. When did she get out of the hospital? He hoped everyone else knew already, he'd been the shoulder people had been crying on in their worry for both her and Leshia. And was honestly relieved that both were now fine.

He furrowed his eyebrows a bit though, confused. He recalled only talking to her once, that time at the end of last year. She'd seemed pleasant enough, but there seemed to be a lot of bad blood between everyone else and her. And he heard plenty about her views on 'people like him.' Though he also though he heard something about changing her ways. He had no clue how to act around her. He looked around when she asked him about the few things he was holding. "Oh...erm, uh...I'm making gifts." he struggled out, looking down at the stuff he was holding.

He looked at her again, and took a very slight step back, feeling unsure.

Corinne saw a flicker of recognition within his eyes, and she smiled un-certainly. She wondered if he could tell her about herself, for so far she knew not much. She'd forgotten her name again, and that was most frustrating. She searched her mind... and remembered it started with 'C'. It was french, too, because apparently she was french. She almost laughed at that thought, for as if she couldn't figure that out herself. She found it hard to not just automatically speak french to someone, so that was a rather obvious sign.

She saw the way he was hesitant to speak to him, and sighed. She'd heard rumours that she was mean to people, and she wondered if she had been rude to him. She sighed again and looked down at her feet, feeling shy suddenly. A frown adorned her features, and she lifted her head to look at him again, her eyes scrunched in concentration. She tried to place him, but no memory of him came to mind. Feeling awkward, she decided to ask him what his name was.

"Oh, alright. Padon, but what ees your name?"

He watched her carefully as she sighed and looked down. She was acting strange from what he remembered her to be like. Maybe it was an appearance? Holding her head up high and just acting, while alone she was...whatever this was. He took a slow breath when the looked up at him again and the look on her face almost seemed confused. Parker felt like he'd missed something important yet again.

He didn't think much of her asking his name, considering the brief talk with her and the chaos that happened after. He knew he often had trouble remembering other's names. "Me name's Parker...Parker Emery."

His eyes darted around nervously, "Er- does...does anyone know you're out here?" He suddenly felt more uncomfortable. If no one did, he certainly didn't want to be the first person she spoke to coming out of the hospital wing. She had friends and her sister worried to death about how they worried she'd not be awake for years, so why was she out here alone?? He couldn't think of a single reason and it bothered him a bit.

Corinne pursed her lips at his name. She felt a flicker of recognition within her, and it had something to do with blond hair and a strong feeling of dislike. Whoever this person was, he was associated with someone she didn't like. That didn't bother her, she wanted to know more about him. She moved closer and tilted her head, trying to place where she'd seen his face before. She noticed that he still looked confused, and when he asked if anyone knew she was out here she nodded.

"Oui, 'ealer 'enley let me out a couple of days ago. Im sorry, but where 'ave I seen you before?"

He stayed where he was standing as she walked closer, seeming to inspect him. He felt himself tense up a bit, after having made the friends he did, he'd not met too many new people and was realizing how closed off he still was to people he didn't or hardly knew. Especially with the things he'd heard about her. He knew that to keep himself safe, he'd have to keep his guard up.

When she had said that Healer Henley had let her out, he looked away from her. "Wait, wait- does anyone else though? What about your friends- you're...you're sister...I- we-" He sighed, not knowing what to even say to her. She was acting strange, even considering the strange people he'd recently come to know.

He looked at her and opened his mouth when she asked where she'd seen him before, but then he closed it. Surely she at least remembered their conversation...well, maybe not, some people were like that. But it still seemed odd. He was thinking hard trying to connect the pieces in his mind, still watching her. He spoke slowly, thinking over what he was saying carefully. "We're...we shared some of the same classes...talked I think only once..."

Corinne frowned as he mentioned friends, sisters. She licked her suddenly dry lips as flashes of that face that was so like hers, yet not ran through her mind, and she wondered if that was her sister. Still, she had not met this sister of hers, and the only other people she knew were Tess and Tabi, whom she hadn't talked too much but merely been told she liked. She felt that she liked them too when she was around them.

"I 'ave no friends, and why does everyone keep talking about zis 'seester' of mine? I do not 'ave a seester! Or.. maybe I do, but I do not remember 'er is ze point!" She exclaimed, frustrated now. Her emotions had turned rather quickly, and it was because she was in a vulnerable place at the moment. She'd lost her entire memory, and she hated how everyone else knew who she was and she did not.

Corinne shook her head, he misunderstood her. She realised he didn't know, and she pursed her lips as she twiddled her thumbs together as she clasped her hands. "No no! Zat eet ees not what I mean, I mean 'ow would I know you? Ees eet because we are both een Slytherin? Forgive me, I am not normally forgetful, but..." Corinne paused. "I 'ave... lost my memory..."

He saw her frown and worried he had said the wrong thing. He seemed to be doing that nonstop lately. "I'm sorry, look I don't kno-" he started, as she began to talk quickly and frustrated. He could hardly keep up with what she was saying through her thick accent.

The words wouldn't come to him as he tried to think of something in response, his mouth was open and trying to form words that would tumble and trail off. She then shook her head and he huffed quietly too himself, trying to not look confused and frustrated himself, failing at that.

"Well- I mean, sure, I guess so? We don't really-" He cut himself off after her pause. No memory? Of course! no wonder she was acting weird. The light bulb went off in his head as everything came together and a look of understanding came over him. He then felt stupid. She'd been a magically induced coma, or so he heard, so it made a lot of sense to him that she'd have lost her memory as well. Why it made sense, he didn't know. It just did.

"So you don't...you mean- nothing, you remember nothing??"

She saw the realistation within his eyes and grinned at him with a small laugh. Obviously, it would make sense to him now. She could imagine how confusing it would be for him, though he had no idea how confusing it was for her. She hated how everyone knew her name, and she didn't. Darn it, she couldn't remember it even though she'd recently been informed of it. Cor- Cor- Argh!

She shuffled her feet sheepishly and looked up at Parker with a shy smile. "Of course I remember nothing, idiot," she said in a slightly annoyed tone. "I 'ave lost my entire memory." She puffed her cheeks out and sighed. "Can you tell me, im awfully forgetful at ze moment, but what ees my name?"

Parker looked down again at her smile and annoyed sounding quip at him. Them meeting and talking like this with her having no memory at all felt very wrong. He thought if anything they should keep their distance because as soon as she remembered or found out exactly who she was and accepted it back, there would be problems, or at least that's what he thought.

When she asked what her own name was Parker looked up again. Wow, not even her name? Has not one other person talked to her yet?? He open his mouth, closed it, and opened it again. "Y-you're name? Corinne...okay, look-" He adjusted the items in his hands, dropping a few twigs as he moved everything to one arm. He then stepped forward and grabbed her by the wrist, starting to walk back to the castle. He didn't want to screw up her whole, 'finding herself' process by talking with someone she shouldn't. "I'm taking you back to the common room- we can't talk..."
