Time of Dying (Corinne and Keaira) Empty Time of Dying (Corinne and Keaira)

Keaira walked around in Hogsmeade with a cruel smirk on her face. She could see the battle in Three Broomsticks raging on, and having just finished a battle herself, she was excited to take part in a new battle. Finding that the one in the pub didn't interest her, she continued walking, until she reached a path. She followed it with curiosity until she saw a big house ready to fall.

She smirked and walked closer, realizing that this had to be the infamous Shrieking Shack. She didn't stop until she touched the door to the house, but didn't stroll in. She didn't feel like it. She rose her wand and took aim at it.

"Incendio," she said cruelly, watching as a small flame rose in the house and turned bigger and bigger.

She stepped back and then called back the spell with a simple aquamenti spell as the flames reached to crumble. She didn't want the house to fall. It was too cool. She had only made it cooler. She then turned quickly as she heard something behind her.

Corinne watched in fascination as this girl she'd never had the pleasure of encountering before set the Shrieking Shack alight, the building slowly being consumed by the flames before it ceased its burning when she stopped it. She was quite surprised, and quite a bit offended that the girl would set such a lovely building alight. Though she wasn't all that attached to Britain, she still respected the fact that this was one of their landmarks. Besides, the Hogwart's students were always going on about it after all.

She decided that she wanted to see how she faired in a battle, after all she didn't know herself of her skills anymore, so she jumped out of the trees quietly and moved forwards, her foot snapping a branch and causing the girl to whip around and stare at her. As quickly as she could, Corinne pulled out her wand and pointed it at the girl. "Crucio!" The word left her lips before she'd even registered it, and her eyes widened. Was that the kind of fighter she was?

A girl. Probably her own age. She smirked, maybe she'd have some fun in Britain after all? Her smirk turned to surprise as the girl shouted 'crucio' at her. She jumped away from the spell.

Her face contorted into anger as she realized the girl had just tried to torture her. This girl wasn't playing for fun. She was pretty darned serious. Keaira, who had just had her fun, enchanting the Shack, wasn't really in the mood to play games, and without thinking, she pointed her wand at the girl with narrowed eyes.

"Nocere," she said coldly. The spell was German, and her Dueling teacher had taught her it. It was a slicing spell, but even so, Keaira was pretty sure it would do nothing to the girl before her, other than making her bleed in the slightest.

Then, without thinking, a spell came to Keaira's mind and her wand automatically locked onto the girl, pointing straight at her heart. She grit her teeth and suddenly, she had said the words. She just said them. So calmly, as if she didn't give a shit. And she didn't Keaira didn't care. This was a stranger, and could be dead, because what was a stranger to Keaira? Another human, sure. But someone she appreciated? No. She didn't care.

"Avada Kedavra," she had said, her voice icily cold, sending shivers up her own spine. But it felt good to say the words. As if something was released inside of her. Her cold mask vanished, and in its place, came a gruesome, cruel and wicked grin.
