Lesson Four - Second Years
Briony was getting a little down and angry because she wasn't allowed her alcohol or her smokes, it had been a few weeks now and it was getting hard, she suspected that the spells that Lucia put on her were beginning to wear off a little bit.
Humming lightly, Briony rested her hand on her stomach and was glad there was no bump yet, it was going to be very big by the time they came back however and she knew that she wouldn't stop working even when it was about due.
Waiting for her class to come in, Briony sighed lightly, and hoped they would be on time.

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
Haley walked into the duelling classroom, relieved to see that she was on time. Though this was not usual, she had thought she would've been late, but when she rechecked her clock, she realized she had a good ten minutes to spare. She then sighed, gave a smile and a wave to Briony, and sat down on her spot in the front.

Airen walked into the classroom. He noticed the professor seemed a bit put out about something, but she didn't seem that angry. He sat in his seat at the front of the classroom and gave his usual greeting to the professor.
"Good morning, Professor," he said.

Walking into class she realized she was the only Slytherin there. She smiled politely at Headmistress Romain and seeing Haley, she sat next to her and saved a spot for Victoria.
"Hey" she said softly.

Haley smiled at Tess as the girl sat down next to her. She really liked that they were working on the school paper together. It was very much fun.
"Hey," she said back, with a big grin on her face.

Parker made his way into class. He was very curious as to what they'd be learning for their last lesson. Last lesson... He sighed, wishing it just wouldn't have to end.
He took his seat near by to Haley and Tess, looking up at the headmistress, then looked down at his desk as he set his bag down. He looked out the window, seeing clearly that summer was upon them.

Victoria rushed to class, not wanting to miss a second. Over the school year her feelings of fear had diminished from the attack, but it was never far from her mind. This class seemed to be the most important in light of all that.
Taking the open seat next to Tess she grabbed out her book and wand, ready to start. She grinned at Tess, "Ready for the last lesson?"

Tess was glad that she was glad that Victoria made it on time. She let out a wide grin at the thought that it was soon over and they'd be off to enjoy the summer.
"Hell yes" She replied. "I need to get out of this castle...but I'm curious towards what new spell we learn here. Merlin knows that when it comes to spells we learn the best ones here"

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
Briony clapped her hands and the door closed and there was a soft click as it locked, any student who came in now would be late, and there was a brief moment when Briony just flicked her eyes over everyone before smirking lightly.
"Welcome class, today we will be learning a useful incantation called 'Finite Incantatem' can anybody tell me what this spell does?"
Waiting for someone from the class to answer, Briony crossed her arms and sat down on the front of her desk with her legs streched out in front of her.

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
Tess knew that the moment that the class was closed meant that it was time to stop talking. She turned her head to stare straight a the front and bit her bottom lip nervous that it was going to be a hard lesson. But hearing her lesson plan, her hand immediately shot up. She knew this by heart.
"Finite Incantatem is a counter spell. It's use it so cease all spell effects. It ceases all spells except the Unforgivable Curses"

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
Briony nodded her head with a small smile, it was nice to hear a Slytherin voice in her lessons, and she looked around the rest of the class before speaking again;
"That's correct Tess, well done, 5 points to Slytherin."
With a gesture to the students, Briony motioned for them to watch what she was going to do, and using the tickling curse they had learnt last lesson, Briony applied it to one of the training dummies, before then using the new spell the students were learning to stop it;
"Finite Incantatem!" and watched as the dummy stopped moving and turned still "Now this is what you are going to be doing this lesson, get into groups of two or three and begin casting the spell we learnt last lesson on each other, and then use Finite Incantatem to release the person from the effect of the spell you cast."

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
Doing the math she felt bad because once again they were an odd number. She felt bad leaving someone out and she raised her hand.
"May I work we work in a group of three because of the uneven number of students in our class?" she asked softly.
She didn't want to exclude anyone knowing it wasn't nice. It was obvious it was going to be Victoria and her, and if the Professor allowed perhaps the third person without a partner.

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
Briony nodded her head slightly, perhaps they hadn't heard her saying that they could get into groups of two and three, but she didn't mind repeating herself just once.
"Of course you may."
Looking around the rest of the student it would seem that they too were thinking the same thing from the lack of activity and hopefully that would now be resolved.

Haley turned to Parker. "Partners?" she asked with a smile.
She rose and walked over to a spot where they would have some space. She was pretty sure that professor Romain meant that they were supposed to do the 'Rictumsepmra' spell, so she smiled to Parker.
"Do you want to go first?" she asked him softly.

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
Parker nodded when Haley asked if he wanted to be partners. He smiled a little, thinking that they'd become a pair in the class.
He followed after her to where there was more room and then looked to Haley. He saw her smile and ask if he wanted to go first. He shook his head, still not feeling confident enough to go first.
"You go first."

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
Haley nodded with a smile. "Then I use 'Rictumsempra' on you, while you finish it off with 'Finite Incantatem', right?" she asked, reassuring herself that she had got it right and that Parker was ready.
She hoped this was the deal. She then pointed her wand at Parker. "Rictumsempra!" she called firmly and she knew Parker would have a hard time saying the incantation from laughing so hard.

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
Parker nodded his head, agreeing with what she said. He took out his own wand, but as she pointed her wand at him, the though occurred to him that she'd need to do both. He'd not be able to talk. He opened his mouth to say so but she'd already casted the spell.
He began to laugh, and he doubled over on his knees onto the floor. Only a few brief moments passed before tears were in his eyes and his sides were cramping. It was starting to get painful and he was gasping out, "Make....make it...stop!" because he certainly couldn't bring himself to do it.

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
Haley felt her gut churn when Parker got a more and more pained expression on his face. She wondered if she should just stop the spell instantly, not liking the expression. The moment Parker managed to choke out that she should stop it, she raised her wand immediately.
"Finite Incantatem!" she said in a rushed tone, so the spell didn't stop.
She clenched her teeth. Then she remembered Occlumency and Divination. Clearing her head. She instantly did so, and calmly tried again.
"Finite Incantatem!" she said firmly and the spell ceased.
She frowned deeply. "I'm sorry," she said softly, feeling slightly miserable.
But then she shook it off. They should move on so they would manage to do the spells before the class was over.
"Your turn," she said, still feeling slightly guilty for not managing the spell at once.

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
When she had stopped the spell he was breathing heavily and sat up, holding his sides, trying to catch hit breath. Wow, underestimating a tickling charm of all things was something he'd not do again. Maybe it was just worse for him though cause from a few times he'd found out he was pretty ticklish.
He looked up at Haley seeing her frown. He smiled a little to reassure her. "I-it's okay, really." he stood himself up, brushing off his trousers.
He nodded when she said it was his turn, and he raised his wand. Trying to calm his breath down, he waited a moment before calling out "Rictumsempra!" keeping concentrated to he could take it off a moment later with the counter.

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
Tess smiled at Victoria and poked her side teasingly.
"Dibs" she said sticking her tongue out. "Come on, I don't know your fellow Gryffindor over there."
Picking up her wand she walked over to Airen, with who she hoped was Victoria in tow and smiled kindly. She didn't really know the boy, but she figured it was never too late, even if it was the very last lesson.
"Sorry to say you're with us" she jokingly said. "Who wants to go first? I'll be the guinea pig."

Re: Lesson Four - Second Years
Briony clapped her hands slightly when she saw that most of the class had begun to try and learn the spell, it made a nice ending to the school year and she thought that she might as well break tradition and do something that Briony very rarely did.
"Alright class, it's the end of the lesson, and to thank you all for your hard work this lesson I shall award ten points to each of you." she nodded with a small smile.
Then, with a sigh, Briony sat on the desk and added;
"Remember, be safe over the holidays yes? I expect to see you all safe and well next year." she smiled "Now class dismissed."
