Lilith sat at the bar drinking a bottle of absinthe. The devil's green drink was what kept Lilith busy at night whenever she didn't have any work to do. Tonight was one of those nights.

The longer she had been at the Brimstone, the more crowded it became. No one talked to her because she talked to no one. That was until she saw a woman come in and sit at an empty table. She looked like she could use a friend, or stranger, to talk to. Lilith left her seat and sat at the table.

"I'm Lilith King," she greeted. "Why don't you get drunk with me?"

Dani looked and smiled at the woman " Sure why not" she said with a smile she knew her from somewhere " And I'm Danielle Thornhill but You can call me Dan or Dani" Dani said when she heard the woman's name she nodded " You are an Auror correct?" she asked not unkindly she knew her from work.

Dani was drinking a bloody Mary which was very good she noticed the woman had a different drink " Ah the devil's green drink" Dani said smiling and taking a sip of her bloody Mary.

"Yes, I am an Auror," Lilith said. "Just like you, Dani." She took a huge gulp from her bottle. She must be drinking a bit more than she usually does, but who cares? There someone to drink with. That makes everything a lot different.

"So," she started saying, slurring a bit. "What brings you here? Shouldn't there be some people for you to drink with than by yourself or me?"

Taking another gulp and emptying her bottle, she wave to the bartender. This time something with a little less alcohol. He changed her empty bottle of Absinthe to a full bottle of Devil’s Spring. Hopefully the next she come back here, she would still have her vault stash of her choice of alcohol.

She can't remember why she started drinking. She looked at Dani. "Hey, why don't you try a different kind of drink? I need you to be drunk too. I don't think a Bloody Mary will get you drunk fast enough."

Lilith smiled at Dani's response. She drank all of her drink in one gulp.

"I'm here because I have absolutely nothing to do," Teresa said. "And also because I know very little people. My cousin would be nagging me if she ever sees me drinking, again."

Lilith waved her hands and this time the drink was red wine. She sipped it.

"So what the anniversary you don't want to remember? You just reminded me of an anniversary for me as well."

Raising an eyebrow, Lilith took a sip.

"My sister died, too," she said. "And my parents."

"My cousin, Teresa Maria King, is a first year Slytherin. Her mother, my aunt, adopted me when I was ten so we grew up like sisters. I call her Mary as a nickname. She is very important to me."

Lilith changed her wine into a bottle of Everclear. She took a gulp and started to feel tipsy.

"Tell me about your sister."

From the corner of her eyes, Lilith saw a raven sitting on a tree through the window.

"Hey there, Raven," she whispered towards the bird. He nodded.

Dani smiled and started getting a little tipsy " My sis was my mother if I had a bad day at work she'd tell me things'll get better and stuff" Dani said " And my Cousin the one whom goes to Hogwarts is a Gryffindor first year Sam Hawthorn" Dani said remembering only seeing her cousin when she was a baby. " My other cousin Alex she is a. Durmstrang first year but I haven't seen her or Sam since they were babies" Dani said a little sadly.

Dani watched everyone " So Tell me about your cousin what is she like?" Dani asked.

"Mary," Lilith said, "Has the biggest pride I ever seen. Even more than me. She believes it is her duty as a King to continue the pureblood line of the Kings. She's not for forcing blood purity, but more like wanting people to think about preserving it. She's a narcissistic person, but she's nice too if she likes you. She reminds me of my sister, Sarah."

Lilith drank her bottle, wiping her mouth with her empty arm of some of the alcohol that slipped out. "Mary would be disgusted if she saw me drinking like this."

"So you haven't seen your cousins since they were babies because?" she asked, letting Dani continue the sentence.

Dank shrugged " My sister and I were in an orphanage at the time so they never lets us see them and than work got busy for me" Dani said sighing and she thought about seeing them but didn't know where they were.

" I wanted to adopt Sam my cousin but they told me she was already adopted after her parents died" Dani said sadly and she took another swig of her drink.

"Oh, how are life seems so cruel," Lilith said. "We should do something stupid. Like setting something on fire?"

She laughed. She's drunk right now so she wouldn't know what she is saying. Then, she raise her glass.

"To our sisters, our cousins, my parents, and anyone else we know and love," she said. "Hope to see you in afterlife later than sooner."

"I miss them so much," Lilith said. "I still remember how my mother's baking goods taste and the feel of my father patting my head every time I did something that makes him smile."

She took a gulp and laid her head on her arm, still facing Dani.

"My sister, Sarah, always gave me lilies whenever she finds some. She was only seven when I lost her. I hate those bastards who killed my family, but I know that Sarah wouldn't like that. She would have wanted me to be happy. I wished Mary would have meet her and her father. Lost sometimes does not affect one person."

Lilith closed her eyes and let a tear fall from her face.

Lilith smiled, taking a gulp.

"Uncle Lucy, Mary's father and his name is actually Lucifer, was my favorite uncle. He always have something for me and Sarah every time he come over, even though he and Aunt El lives in the next house over. He always joked around with us."

She laughed, remembering that look on his face.

"Then when he found that Aunt El was pregnant with Mary, he lit up like the sun. He might as well threw a parade. He died a year later after she was born. If he was still alive today, she was going to be spoil badly. The only he left her was a bell choker."

She drank again.

"How did you lose your sister?"

"Uncle Lucy," Lilith started. "Was an Auror. He died during a mission when he was attacked by Dark Magic cast by a criminal wizard. He got hit twice before rushed to St. Mungo. The Healers tried to stop the bleeding, but the dark magic infected his wounds so the only thing they could do wrap them up. A day later he was in so much pain he was put in a coma. Two weeks later he woke up, but he suddenly died."

Lilith drank her entire bottle.

"So, are you going to hunt down this 'Charmin' vampire to revenge your sister's death?"

Dani nodded " That's the plan, but that's not the reason I became an Auror though" she said as she finished off her bottle " And I'm sorry about your uncle" Dani added.

She began to play with the glass drink that was her plan hunt and kill Charmin even if it's the last thing Dani does " What house were you in when you went to Hogwarts?" Dani asked

"Slytherin," she said. "House of the great snakes. Many of the King family have either been in Slytherin or Gryffindor. But, ever since we lost the final piece in our family crest, the Gryffindor line had ceased."

Lilith took a gulp.

"What about you? I bet you're a Gryffindor. Your sister sounds like she would do find in that house."

"Do you ever think the Fates laughs whenever Atropos cut the life thread?" Lilith ask. "You ever think they enjoy ending the life of someone to see the living despair? To cause them grief and guilt and sadness?"

"Maybe they hope to see a cycle of bloodshed happen over and over again until the last living soul is gone. They must be cruel to do such things to entertain themselves."

"Pretty much," Lilith said. "It's the only place Mary can't come bursting through the door like she always do."

Then, she felt like doing something destructive. She got another bottle of absinthe and poured it into a glass. She lit it up on fire. She found her favorite cigar from one of her pockets and lit it. She threw the still lit glass on the ground. The fire start to spread slowly. She took a puff of her cigar.

"I am really drunk right now. You?"
