Exploration (Char and Air)

Charlotte had heard that there was a creatures apothecary around these parts that had in stock a new batch of motion potion for her paintings, she would have made it herself but then again she probably would have messed it up something royal, and the apothecary on Diagon Alley had run out of all it;s supplies.

She really wanted to finish making this picture of her Papa, she wanted to make up with him after all those things that she had said to hurt him a few days ago, and she hoped that this picture she had painted of them would be enough to do that.

Wandering into the store, Charlotte felt a slight pang of dread, and her cat ears popped up out of her head, flattening so that hopefully nobody would see them.

Airen wandered the streets. He wore a hooded vest with his Renaissance robes. He felt like he needed to get away from all the calm. He felt jumpy and hyper in his house. As he walked, he began to calm down, and he settled for strolling through the area, watching the people interact.

He scanned the street. One person caught his eye. Most of the people out had brown, blonde, or black hair, but this person had white hair. He smiled as he realized that their was only one person he knew with hair like that. Using his unusually long stride, he easily crept up behind her.

He noticed that her cat ears were showing slightly, so he thought that maybe it wasn't the best thing to surprise her. He walked up next to her and laid a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey there, Charlotte," he greeted. He placed a kiss on her cheek.

Charlotte squeaked in fright when she felt someone's hand on her shoulder, and when she turned she saw that it was Airen, the voice gave it away when he spoke as well, but she was so frightened that it didn't register until after she had turned around.

Placing a hand on her heart and having to allow herself to calm down pretty quickly in case it started to flare up while she was out and about, Charlotte smiled happily, letting out a small nervous laugh when she returned Airen's kiss on the cheek.

"Hello to you too, you gave me the fright of my life then." she said, shaking her head a little bit "What brings you out here all by yourself?" Charlotte asked, knowing the dangers of the creatures that frequented this place.

Airen smiled at Charlotte. He hadn't meant to make her jump, but it happened. He smiled wider when she kissed him on the cheek in return. Giving her a quick hug, he smiled bashfully. Looking around, he noticed the many potion ingredients that lined the walls. He gestured to the shop around them.

"What brings you here?" he asked.

"Yeah, sorry about that," he said, rubbing his neck shyly and blushing. "Well, I just got bored of all the peace at my house, and I wanted to be a part of everyday life. So here I am," he continued, gesturing to ground under his feet. "I didn't expect to get the pleasure of meeting my girlfriend here, but I'm not complaining," he added cheekily.

Charlotte was now very glad that she was not on her own in this place, she had been nervous but now she was calming down, there were so many other things to think about here than being eaten by a vampire or something.

Seeing Airen look around the apothecary also, Charlotte smiled, maybe he thought the same as she?

"I came here to see if they had motion potion for my new picture I painted for Cobie, I can't make it and the Diagon Alley shop didn't have any left." she pouted lightly.

When he said that he had aimed to get away from the quietness of his house Charlotte smiled, it made her feel better that when he needed to he would go out and make sure that he had something to do. It meant he wouldn't get bored after all.

"Sounds like you got what you came for when you came out then, finding me here way just pure luck!" she grinned "I'm happy about it too, I was so nervous coming here."

Airen smiled when she told him her reason for coming to a popular creature hangout. He was glad that she was so brave. He'd be sure to protect her. He was also glad that she was doing this for Cobalt. Lord knows her father needed a gift to show him that he is a good man.

Chuckling, Airen placed an arm around her shoulders. "You can always learn how to make it," he suggested. As soon as he finished the sentence, a thought occurred to him. But, he would work on it later...

"I got more than I wanted," he added, followed by a peck on her lips. He hoped he hadn't been to forward, but she was okay the last few times he had done that. Maybe just this once.

"You? Nervous?" Airen asked in mock wonder. "How is this possible?" he continued, joking. Why was he so hyper?

Charlotte now couldn't care less where she was, she was with Airen and that meant that she was safe, she knew that he would let nothing happen to her and that made her feel so secure that she could probably have a conversation with a vampire, not run away from it.

"I could do, but I thought that it would be nice to give it to him sooner rather than later, after all we did get into a fight a few days ago...I think it would be nice to let him know everything's okay."

Blushing a little bit when Airen pecked her on the lips Charlotte had to resist the urge to giggle like a typical girl, so she just ended up turning her hair a light tint of pink instead, as she suppressed her emotions.

"I'm glad, after all, maybe now we can go somewhere after this, not that I think there's many places for children around here." she smiled softly.

Unable to hold back a laugh Charlotte laughed happily; "You know how nervous I get sometimes, I didn't want to be eaten by a vampire or something." she grinned, rubbing her cat ears.

"That's very considerate of you Charlotte. Your father is very lucky to have a daughter like you. I'm sorry you had your fight, but that just means that you're a family with typical family problems," he commented sympathetically. He wrapped her in his arms and hugged her to him.

Airen smiled as he watched her hair turn pink. He chuckled deeply. He liked that part about her. She was a gentle person and not ashamed of her emotions.

"How about a date over to the ice cream parlor in Diagon Alley when we're done here?" he suggested.

"Well, now you have your swordmage boyfriend to protect you," He said, bowing.

Charlotte felt better about what had happened when Air wrapped his arms around her, it was nice to know that he was there for her if she ever came to need him, it was what she liked about him, she knew she could come to Airen with anything and he wouldn't be mad at her.

"Yes, I know, but it's still not very nice to have arguments, luckily it seemed that everything is all over now, so we can start to make things better between us." she grinned "Have you been to see your Aunt lately?"

Hearing Airen's chuckle made Charlotte's hair stay the pink colour that it was and she looked shyly at the floor when he asked if she wanted a date after they had finished here; "I would love to go to the ice cream parlour with you. It sounds like a plan."

Glad that Airen would be there to help her if she needed to, Charlotte took out her list and walked up to the nearest rack of shelves, finding the pre-made potions;

"Well if I find this potion quickly, we can get over to Diagon Alley and ice creams a lot faster too." she smiled broadly.

Airen inwardly smiled when Charlotte relaxed as he embraced her in a hug. It made him feel good that she was so comfortable with him and and felt that she could come to him about anything. He would always be there for her. Perhaps that was what his aunt had meant by what it feels like when you love some one.

"I know what you mean. I had a few arguments with my mentors. They were like my family. It never felt good to fight, but we always made up in the end," he said, remembering the fights they had shared. Sure , now it seemed petty, but he was only eight or nine at the time. "I've been talking to her, yes. She really wishes to come here one day," he replied.

Airen wondered if he had been too presumptuous in asking her on a date when she looked down shyly, but his worries quickly vanished when she had accepted. "It's a date, then," he said, smiling back at her.

Airen read the list from over her shoulder. Memorizing it, he walked over to a shelf and scanned it for the ingredients. He spotted a few that Charlotte hadn't grabbed yet. He quickly took the amounts she needed and brought them to her.

"There's some time saved," he said when he got back.

Charlotte smiled happily when Airen told her that he too had fights with the people who had taken care of him, it made her think that she wasn't too bad for making trouble for her Papa, perhaps she was going to be able to live it down after all. The argument had been quite bad, but it was nothing that they couldn't handle.

When he said that his Aunt wanted to come to Britain, Charlotte let her smile grow; "Oh that would be amazing, when she does come here I would very much like to be able to meet her, if she would like to meet me that is, I know that she might want to spend as much time as possible with you."

Feeling Airen's breath on her shoulder, Charlotte turned her head towards him and blinked at him for a moment, wondering what he was doing, but when he returned with the ingredients that she needed for the other potions that needed to be brewed Charlotte beamed.

"Oh thank you very much Air! That means all I need to get now is...." she hummed, looking along the rack for the pre-made potion and finally spotting it she got it off the shelf, placing it in the small basket that she had picked up "This little guy, and now we can be on our way once I've paid."

Still smiling she moved over to the counter to pay.

Airen couldn't help the smile that graced his face when Charlotte smiled. It was that contagious. He remembered his aunt teasing him this past summer about his feelings for her. He couldn't deny it. He'd fallen for her, hard.

"She would also like to meet you. She even says hello," he commented. Airen remembered how his aunt had wished she could visit him at the swordmage academy, but they were very strict in visitors.

Aien grinned when Charlotte thanked him for getting her the ingredients. He liked making her smile. Watching as she picked out the last ingredient, he followed her up to the counter to pay.

Charlotte was happy when she heard that Airen's Aunt might like to meet her, after all it would be nice to say that she had some sort of other relative. She didn't have many, so it was always nice to have someone else to speak to if she needed to.

"Well I hope that one day we would be able to meet, perhaps when the summer holidays come around me and my Papa can come over to Italy to try and meet you guys there."

Handing in the money to the person behind the till, she shrunk away a little bit when they glared at her and waved her away from the shop, so clutching her ingredients she walked swiftly back over to Air.

"So...now that's done with. I vote we get out of here before he gets angrier." she whispered.

Airen smiled gladly at Charlotte's suggestion for her and her father visiting Italia (Italy). He was glad that he could finally introduce his aunt to his girlfriend. She had often asked questions about that Airen found hard to answer. He hoped his aunt could answer those for herself.

"If you can, please come over. My aunt loves to have company. She's very social and loves to talk with people," he said, glad that they would meet his aunt, but he hoped that she wouldn't embarrass him too much.

Airen's face went into a stony neutral expression. Something odd happened, his eyes turned to a silvery gray that reflected the light. They shined like orbs of liquid mercury. He closed them, not noticing their odd change, to try to calm himself down. He relaxed a clenched fist that he intended for the glaring person's face.

"Yes, let's," he said, placing a gentle hand around Charlotte's waist and leading her out the store.

Charlotte smiled happily when Airen told her that she would be very welcome if she was to come and visit him and his Aunt in Italy, it would be something that would make the next holiday that they had very happy, after all she had been wanting to meet Airen's aunt for a while.

"I would be very excited to come then, I shall ask Papa if he wants to come with me, as I don't think that he would like me to come on my own, even though it's to visit you. I've never been to Italy before you see."

Blinking a little bit when Airen seemed to clentch his fist, Charlotte placed her hand in his and smiled gently towards him, hoping that everything was alright, and she made to walk out of the shop.

Looking around outside, she smiled when she saw that it was still young in the afternoon, and they would have plenty of time to get to Diagon Alley.
