Lesson 2, Second Years Empty Lesson 2, Second Years

Post by Guest Mon Apr 30, 2012 8:50 pm

Angelus was excited about this weeks lesson because they are going to be discussing the founder of his own house Rowena Ravenclaw. He was hoping that he could get a little more discussion out of the class this week.

Angelus sat down at his desk and waited for the class to arrive.

Sam yawned lightly as she walked to history of magic class she knew they'd be learning about Rowena Ravenclaw, Sam smiled and walked into the classroom.

She gave the professor a nod and she sat down in the back, Sam wondered how much longer the day was going to last, she sighed and yawned quietly.

Lesson 2, Second Years Empty History of Magic: Lesson Two; 2nd Year

Post by Teresa Maria King Tue May 01, 2012 10:41 am

Teresa was finishing a chocolate bar when she came in the classroom. If she remembers, this lesson was about Rowena Ravenclaw. She wonders if she'll learn anything new about the founder of Ravenclaw. She really, really hope that more people will come, too. An almost empty classroom seems to echo words.

She crushed the chocolate wrapper and shoved it in her pocket while getting a seat next to Sam.

"Hi," she said, pulling another chocolate bar out. Hopefully she doesn't get into for eating in class. If she did, she had the excuse that Professor Moody didn't say anything about it.

Angelus looked up and noticed that Ms. Hawthorn and Ms. King had entered class. Angelus and really started to enjoy having Ms. Hawthorn in his class because she always seemed ready to learn and really enjoyed that.

"Welcome to class ladies, and we will wait and see if any more students arrive. Until then think about what you know about Rowena Ravenclaw"

Angelus had thought about asking Helena if she wanted to join the lesson.

Xander walked into class with a sigh. He understood the importance of learning history, but couldn't bring himself to really enjoy it.

As he took his seat he remembered the syllabus said this week was about Ravenclaw. He hoped it was going to be enlightening since the professor was from that house.

Lesson 2, Second Years Empty Re: Lesson 2, Second Years

Angelus sighed when he noticed that no one was going to talk,

"If people want to earn points for their house it would be nice for people to answer questions."

Angelus sighed, it was hard to teach a class when no one wanted to participate with the discussions. He did not normally get upset, but it was getting a little old.

Lesson 2, Second Years Empty History of Magic Classroom :: Lesson 2, Second Years

Post by Teresa Maria King Mon May 07, 2012 7:06 am

Teresa raise her hands when she heard the annoyance in Professor Moody's tone.

"I think that Rowena Ravenclaw is a very intelligent woman," she said. "From what I read about her is that she was beautiful yet slightly intimidating, so I would think that she is a bit strict. She must have been forgiving and loving as well since she forgave her daughter, Helena Ravenclaw, when she stole her mother's diamem."

She wondered if this would lift up his mood for a bit.

Sam blinked and slowly raised her hand she could tell the professor was a little tired of no one talking so she decided she was going to.

" Rowena Ravenclaw, of course was one of the four members that created the school, she was also Scottish and was noted for her cleverness and her creativity, and she was regarded as one of the greatest witches of her time, people say she was very beautiful some had said she was 'Beautiful yet slightly intimidating' " Sam said she blinked and glanced at the other students and sighed.

She knew she was a dork but she honestly didn't care she loved to read and she loved history and she sighed inwardly.

Angelus was glad that the students began talking, it was bad it had to get a little upset first.

"Speaking of Helena, what do you guys know about her story?"

Sam quickly raised her hand " She's of course Rowena Ravenclaws daughter, she at some point in her life she ran away to Albania than when he mother became fatally ill she sent the bloody baron whom was in love with Helena to find her. The Baron killed her when she refused to go with him and there are many reasons why the diadem was taken and no one has ever found it" Sam said she felt a little stupid and she felt like she could've said more.

Sam sighed and glanced at the other students wondering what they were going to say.
