Herbology: Third Years, Lesson 2
Sitting down, she wondered if her class was going to be as small as last time. She wasn't surprised after all Herbology was not a subject for everyone. She cracked a smile at the thought of people and their preconceived notions.
She would integrate the classes, at least at first thought, but she figured it wouldn't make any sens e considering how advanced the lessons were becoming. So she waited, grading papers as she did.

She had ditched the last lesson. It wasn't her fault! She was just...distracted. She sighed at the thought and merely sat down shooting a smile towards her Professor. She was sweet just..too sweet, live cavity sweet and that usually wasn't what she went for when looking for a Professor.

Re: Herbology: Third Years, Lesson 2
Parker closed his eyes as he walked slowly from the castle to the greenhouses. He tilted his head back a bit, taking in the bit of warmth from the sun, although the air itself wasn't very warm at all. He took a breath then opened his eyes, looking forward again as he approached the door. He opened it, peeking his head in first and then walking in after seeing just the professor and Tess.
He decided to sit down next to Tess, setting his bag on the floor and giving her a small smile.

Re: Herbology: Third Years, Lesson 2
Lily smiled seeing her two Slytherins there. Wondered where everyone had gone.
"Welcome Mister Emery, Miss McCartney!" She said smiling. "While it seems like it is just the three of us, and we should wait for the others, time waits for no man" she teased.
Walking to the windows she smiled seeing the sun was bright. She wanted to bring more shine to gloomy places and the greenhouse was a perfect place.
"Can anyone tell me a magical plant they've recently read about?" she asked.

Re: Herbology: Third Years, Lesson 2
Parker took in a breath, feeling better already, with the professor's bright disposition and the light streaming in, it just looked so cheery. He light teasing also kept the mood light.
When she asked what magical plants they'd been reading up about, Parker's hand shot right up. He'd been doing a lot more reading recently to try to take his mind off things.
"Well, I was skimming through some things lately and came across Alihotsy, and Flitterbloom, I think it was called." he paused, thinking a moment, "The first causes hysteria if you eat it...and the second is like a harmless Devil's Snare..." he hoped he remembered it right. He remembered having read several articles about accidents having to do with people mistaking Devil's Snare and Flitterbloom for the other one.

Re: Herbology: Third Years, Lesson 2
Lily smiled as it seemed that Mr. Emery was indeed reading the book. Her whole face brightened up. She was not oblivious, she'd noticed when he came in that he wasn't as cheery as usual. Poor Mr. Emery, his aura looked dim, so sad, but now talking about Herbology gave him a distraction she realized.
"Very good! Oh I see you are reading ahead! Good job ten points to Slytherin" she said grinning. "My my you exceed my expectations."
Seeing Miss McCartney wasn't as cheery, might as well put her on the spot. She giggled at the thought.
"Now Miss McCartney wouldn't want to be left behind now would you?" she teased. "Mr. Emery seems to be ahead? What have you read?"

Re: Herbology: Third Years, Lesson 2
Tess was impressed with Parker's knowledge of plants. For her plants were well plants? Some were great, especially in potions but otherwise..plants. She bit her tongue at her thoughts, especially with Professor Del Sol's interesting comment.
"No that'd be absolutely terrible" she found herself saying in a sarcastic amused tone. "And while I cannot surpass Parker's intelligence with herbs, I can say that I read a bit. Gillyweed is something that has taken my interest recently, with it's power to allow you to have temporary gills like an amphibians with webbed feet and so forth and makes you mobile underwater."

Re: Herbology: Third Years, Lesson 2
Parker smiled a little bit back when her whole face lit up, obviously very pleased with him. He looked down, still smiling, finally he'd managed to get his house points. That was always a good feeling. He glanced back up as the professor giggled and pointed out Tess. He felt embarrassed to just be put on the spot light like this, but it wasn't bad. And tess always seemed find with being called on in class.
He looked over to Tess as she replied. He wanted to say back that he didn't have any intelligence with herbs, all he had done was read and remembered, but he refrained.
He nodded when she brought up gillyweed, he'd skimmed by that one in the book though, so he didn't really know anything about it. He did remember something out of context in his reading about the controversy of effectiveness in different water types though. It sounded really cool though, and the fact a plant could seem to transfigure someone was really interesting to him.
