Lesson 2, Second Years Empty Lesson 2, Second Years

Post by Guest Thu May 03, 2012 2:32 am

Jonathan was very interested to discover what the students would have to say this week on the moon.

He sat at his desk and began to work on an owl for Emilia, he was wanting to see her again and soon.

He looked up when he heard a door opening but it was nothing, and he went back to the owl.

Alex hummed quietly as she walked to Astronomy she loved this class and couldn't wait to learn about the moon.

Alex opened the door to see Professor Browning working on something, a letter she figured giving him a nod she walked to the very back and acted like she wasn't there, no one really cared if she showed up anywhere or not, Alex sighed inwardly and waited for the rest of the class to show up.

Lesson 2, Second Years Empty astronomy

Nervous because of her actions last class, Annika quietly slipped into class and sat in the first seat she came too. Hoping she wasn't the first one there she looked around and noticed that Alex was already seated. With relief she smiled and gave a little wave. She still wasn't sure if they could be classified as friends but she wanted to think that the tension was gone and they could at least smile at each other and maybe work together on any homework.

Annika had thought about the moon and what she had learned from Papa and Mama about the cycles of it and the way it could effect behavior. But she was still unclear just how that happened. It would be great if she could understand a little more.

She watched the door wondering if anyone else would show up today. It would help if she didn't have to respond to questions and get embarrassed again.

Jonathan noticed that once again it was just Ms. Hawthorn and Ms. Bauermeister.

"What can you ladies tell me about the moon that lights up our world in the dark?"

Lesson 2, Second Years Empty astronomey lesson two

Without thinking ahead Annika jumped and said, "I know it controls the tides, and sometimes ladies have babies on full moons easier for some reason Mama and Oma won't tell me. It goes around the earth and sometimes we can't see it."

Realizing she was standing and blabbering again, Annika felt like grabbing her satchel and running from the room, but something in the teachers face made her sit down and just lower her head not daring to look at him.

Alex blinked as Annika jumped up and beat her to the question, Alex clentched her teeth and leaned back in her chair.

This was one class Alex enjoyed answering the questions and Annika always beat her Alex blinked and raised her hand " The moon is of course white but the reason for it to be white is because white reflects while black attracts, and the moon has a bunch of phases the one everyone knows is the full moon, new moon, and first quarter when there's actually more than those theres the waxing cresent, wanning cresent and a few more." Alex said with a sheepish smile.

Feeling like she had spoken out of turn she sunk in her chair and glanced at the professor and hoped she wouldn't get in to much trouble.
