A New Professor
Katrina slowly left her classroom on the third floor and made her way down the stairs to the second floor where it was rumored a new professor was going to be residing. Her eyes flickered back and forth taking in the scenery as she rapidly approached the classroom. Her long blonde hair was pulled back in it's customary ponytail with her wand secured in the base. Katrina sighed deeply as she reached the door to the classroom. Whatever insane notion that had possessed her to do this she would never know but nonetheless she was here and wanted to get this introduction over with so she could go back to the seculsion of her classroom and away from people and their insane thoughts that were running rapid through her brain. She shoved open the class room door and weaved around the various desks and chairs toward the office of the new teacher. Lifting her hand she hesitated for a moment before knocking.

Re: A New Professor
Walter was sitting at his desk for a good four hours now, reading over files for students and faculty alike. He was thankful that the Headmistress was so generous. Hell, he even got the office he wanted to his exact specifications. It was a nice, large room with red concrete floors, a nice Tungsten desk that looked as if it was carved from wood, a small, sealed off Chemistry lab off to his right, Several bookshelves on his left filled with books, tomes, and scrolls on Chemistry, Alchemy, or just general research, a swivel chair bolted to the floor behind his desk, and several hidden compartments around the room containing things only known to him.
And if all went according to plan, he would have a computer within the office, heavily EMP-Hardened, to see if it would work. If it did, the he could get some WiFi up and soon get his office and even his classroom technologically up to date, helping teach his students (and Freya) how to properly use Technology.
At the moment, he was reviewing few books on Alchemy rituals that, in theory, could allow him to produce magic-friendly and electricity-generating computer materials. If this worked, the Wizarding World could finally catch up with the times. He took a few notes before a knock on the door gained some of his attention.
"Come in," Walt yelled through the door, finishing the notes. He closed a book and looked up, coughing a bit. It was a young woman, early twenties. He remembered his youth for a moment, his strongest and most prevalent memory of that time was when his team won the Nobel Prize almost four decades ago. Then the birth of his son, Walt Jr.
Then his memories rushed forward to when he was diagnosed with lung cancer, the decision to partner up with Jesse to "Cook" Methamphetamines to support his family, the situation wtih Tuco the mentally disturbed distributor, the people he killed who deserved it (Krazy 8, the drug dealers, etc.), the people who didn't deserve the fate at all.
The people he had indirectly caused the deaths of also popped up into his head, like Gale, or Victor. Not even Victor deserved that kind of death.
He looked back up before he could remember anything else, and attempted to smile. It ended up as a raised eyebrow and his hands folded in front of him, elbows leaning on his desk.
"Why hello, miss..." Walt began, hoping to get the young woman's name. She wasn't a student, too old, so she was probably a teacher he hadn't met yet. "What might I help you with?"

Katrina shoved open the door to the new Muggle Studies Professor's office at his "Come In". He was sitting behind a rather large desk looking over various files and folders that littered the top. When she had stepped into the classroom the new teacher looked up from his paper work and Katrina felt a sharp throbbing pain in her head as various faces and feelings assualted her. Clutching her head in agony Katrina barely heard when the professor addressed her. "Why hello miss..." and he trailed of perhaps waiting for her name. "Starr...Katrina Starr" she supplied, no longer clutching her head but rubbing the temples in a circular motion. "What might I help you with?" he asked and Katrina smiled slightly before dropping her hands and walking a little more into the room. "Hello, like I said before my name is Katrina Starr and I am the Charms and Flying professor here as well as head of Gryffindor house. I came to welcome you to the school." With her head still throbbing Katrina held out a hand for the new professor to shake. "I was hoping maybe we could get to know each other a little so that the students feel we have a united front especially in these turbulant times." Her eyes reflected a little pain as thoughts from her past began to surfice. What was it about this man that caused her to think of Trey? she had no idea but she could feel the tears enter her eyes and rapidly blinked them away.
