Lesson 3 Year 1

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia had not really been in any mood to teach any of her classes but she knew it had to be done. It had been a very trying week for her mind. She had had to deal with Anne dying and then coming back to life. Even though she had not had a chance to talk to her yet, which was one her list.

Then she finds out her whole last 13 years of her life had been a lie, these people who stole her child had ruined her life. She was lucky that she was not one of those people who thought about jumping off the tower.

She just sat at her desk waiting for the class to arrive.

Carly walked into the classroom wondering what they would be learning today. She took her seat after giving the Professor a smile, noticing she was a bit distracted, and waited for class to begin.

Sofia sighed when no other students came in, "Well Ms. Grass it looks like it is you and me."

Sofia smiled sweetly as the girl, "So what can you tell me about early astronomy, like discoveries and things?"

Carly smiled, "the earliest astronomers were doing it for religious reasons, they used the sun and moon to create calenders and predict religious celebrations. Plato the greek philosopher, and aristotle later, formed the idea that the earth was the centre of the universe, with the sun and other planets circling it. But in the 16th centuary a polish astronomer came up with the idea that the sun is the centre of the universe.

Constellations were disccovered and named in ancient civilisations, and most of them still remain in the same position in the sky and have the same name as today" She said, realising she had talked a lot and so blushing a little at the end.

"Very good Ms. Grass and you have earned yourself 10 points."

Sofia smiled and noticed the time. "Well it looks like time is up for this lesson and next lesson we will be studying Chinese Astronomy. You are dismissed"
