Lesson Three - Second Year

Briony sat down at her desk, flipping a knife between his fingertips by the point, using finely control magic to stop it on her fingertips without ever breaking the skin. She sighed a little bit as she scowled at thin air. The ball had been a success but that damned Leon Becker had been there. It had ruined her whole night.

"Hi Professor,"Melody said before sitting down there was nothing on the board so she wondered what they would be learning.

Briony looked up and she scowled darkly at the one student who had come into her class, she almost wanted to put her fist through the nearest wall and she probably looked like she wanted nothing but to do that as well.

Standing up she gripped her wand in her hand and she thought about how pointless these lessons were, how pointless this school was when none of the students seemed to care! She was so close now...so close to completing her project!

"Today we are learning the spell riktusempra, what does this spell do?" she asked in a cold and crip manner.

Brianna hummed to herself. Her weirdness meant that she often wasn't fazed by anyone - an evil wizard themselves wouldn't even frighten her. It was her biggest downfall, really, her lack of fear. But then it was also a positive thing about her. It was why she was late to Professor Romain's lesson.

There were rumours of how angry she could get if you were late - and Brianna had no doubt that those rumours were true, but she just didn't give a damn at all as she skipped along, Polly perched on her shoulder. The only time she showed fear was when separated from her companion - for she liked to care for Polly constantly.

She walked through the door with an expression of indifference on her face as she heard the question. "Rictumsempra is the tickling charm! It causes the opponent to double over in laughter that won't stop until the counter charm is performed!" She said in a sing song voice as she dropped down into her seat.

Before Melody could answer someone answered for her.The girl was in her year and house but Melody couldn't remember ever seeing her around before.The girl didn't seem to even care that she was late Professor Romain probably wasn't going to like that.

Briony's eyes flashed when the girl, Brianna stepped into the classroom, with several things wrong with her. The first thing was that fact she was late, the second was the fact that she didn't apologise for being late in the first place, and the third thing was bringing her pet to class, when it was not permitted.

Standing up from her desk, Briony took out her cigarette and lit it with the tip of her wand. Regarding the girl with a stone cold gaze;

"30 points from Ravenclaw, for lateness, for the lack of apology and the bringing of your pet into this classroom. Place the pet at the front of the classroom. Now." she ordered "Then step onto the training mat in the corner, Melody will then cast the tickling charm upon you, the wand movements are simple counter clockwise turn and a flick left Melody. When the girl is ready, you may begin."

Taking a deep drag on her cigarette, Briony waited. Patience growing thin.
