Eleri smiled as she sat down to wait for who she thought was rapidly becoming her favourite student. She hoped that the lesson would be as fun this time as the previous two.

Lesson 3: Second Years Empty charms lesson three

Post by Annika Bauermeister Thu May 17, 2012 9:13 pm

Annika quickly put her Charms notebook and text into her bag as she fed Emmi. "Hey girl, keep an eye out for the owl mail while I'm in class. Mama promised me a new satchel this week. I need to go to class and can't wait for it. I love you, wish you could talk to me. Maybe someday. Bye" Knowing that she was going to Charms always made Annika happy. With her new wand she was doing so much better and thought maybe it would be fun to find a job where this would be useful.

Singing to herself she walked into class and said cheerfully, "Hello Miss, what kind of fun am I in for today? Where if Faustaus?" Then sitting down in her seat she looked around for a sign of the fuzzy little cat she had become so fond of.

Eleri smiled.
"Hello, I though colour changing charms would be good for his lesson, they're not permanent though. He's hiding at the moment, he's been hit by one before when one of my little sisters was practising and go turned pink for a week. Since then he's been a bit nervous." She replied pulling out a couple of plain white quills. and placing them on the desk.

"That sounds so fun. I'll bet he looked ever so cute in pink. I think this would be really neat for my little sisters when they want to play like they are a funny creature in their games. Mama wouldn't have to worry about them using the berry juice to paint their faces." Giggling Annika picked up the white quill and began spinning it in her hand.

This class always made her giggle and to tell the truth as much as she enjoyed everything else, this was her favorite time of the week. It helped her forget her homesickness and the fact she really had no friends here. It really bothered her most of the time, the loneliness. But for this hour in charms all was forgotten in the simple joy of learning and being able to do well at something.

Eleri laughed lightly.
"He didn't seem to think so. It's quite an easy spell to cast, you simply point your wand at whatever you're trying to change the colour of and say the incantation 'Abeo Cultivate'. The tricky part is focusing on the colour you want it to turn, you have to hold it in your mind while you cast the sell or it won't work. Why don't you practice with the quills?" SHe said with a smile while writing the incantation on he board.

Lesson 3: Second Years Empty charms lesson three

Annika picked up her wand and closed her eyes, trying to summon the color of her Oma's eyes. They were always so soft and gentle with laugh lines at the corners and their memory made Annika calm when she was afraid. Thinking of the sea green eyes and the brown spot in the left one, she concentrated all that she could, pointed the wand and said, "Abeo Cultivate". Peeking through half closed eyes Annika gasp as she saw the quill had turned the exact color of Oma's eyes and even included the brown spot on the left side. Never had she imagined that a charm she said would work out so perfect. She let out a very loud squeal and spun around laughing. "Oh, Miss, you are such a good teacher. Papa tried and tried to teach me to charm the chickens to lay more eggs and I never got it right!!!!" Very Happy Surprised bounce bounce

Eleri smiled.
"Yes, I could never quite get the hang of that one, instead I managed to get them to lay goose eggs, I've no clue how I managed it but they didn't like me very much after that; and 10 points to Geschick, you cast that charm very well." She said.

Lesson 3: Second Years Empty lesson three charms

"Thank you Miss. Might I keep the quill? It reminds so of my Oma. It was her that used to calm me when I had a fright, or couldn't sleep at night. I have had a few days like that here. It would maybe help me."
Annika asked as she began to put her things away.

Eleri smiled.
"Of course you may. I was going to say you could before you asked. I hope you find yourself able to sleep better." She said.
