Herbology, Lesson Three Second Years
Walking into the classroom, she began her lesson as usual. She first cleaned the area and opened the windows.
"Perfect" she said.
She then wrote on the board the next lesson.
'Blue Bell Flames'

Re: Herbology, Lesson Three Second Years
Xander was surprised to be the first one to class. Last set of lessons he was late to most of them and had vowed to try harder this time.
"Good morning, Professor," he said. He took his usual seat and gathered his things for class. Seeing the board he wondered if the flames were a spell or the name of a plant.

Once again he was the second person for class. If it was a mixed class of first and second years, then where were the others. He sat down beside Xander and copied his movements before sending a small smile towards the Herbology professor.

Re: Herbology, Lesson Three Second Years
Seeing a few of her students entering she smiled softly and decided to start her lesson.
"Welcome! Now for today's lesson, we shall work on the Blue Bell Flames spell. Can anyone tell me why we would use this spell?"

Re: Herbology, Lesson Three Second Years
Xander raised his hand. He knew it was just him and Luke, but he figured it was still polite.
"The spell produces an artificial flame. I've seen it used for light and warmth, but not to actually light anything on fire before."
He wasn't sure if it could light things on fire or not, but it would be rather interesting if it could.

Re: Herbology, Lesson Three Second Years
"Very good Mr. Clarke, ten points!" she said smiling.
Picking up her wand, she hopped on the desk and sat comfortably as she talked to the pair of boys.
"I know that we are not in Charms class, but the Bluebell flames are important for next week when we deal with a dangerous plant!" She said this as if she was talking about the weather. "These special flames are bright blue in color, need neither fuel nor oxygen, causing them to become waterproof fire. It is very beneficial in your future use of them."
She shook her wand signaling for them to pay attention.
"Now you simply move your wand twice counter clockwise and two flicks before thinking of warm flames and saying Fuego"
Suddenly the fire appeared and she smiled brightly.
"Start when you are ready."

Re: Herbology, Lesson Three Second Years
Another spell, simple enough it seemed, but the mention of the damned dangerous plant for the next lesson was not looking too appealing. Doing as he was told:
"Now you simply move your wand twice counter clockwise and two flicks before thinking of warm flames and saying Fuego"
He began to do the movements moving counterclockwise twice and two flicks before calling out "fuego" He did it another time, being meticulous and began to do it.
"Fuego!" he called out and the firebell flame appeared.

Re: Herbology, Lesson Three Second Years
Xander was curious about this plant for next class. What could possibly need to be handled with a flame?
Decided to do a little research before then, he tried the spell, thinking of a blue flame. As he turned his wand counter clockwise twice, he imagined that the motion was actually producing the flame, since it needed no regular source. Once he finished the final flick, a steady flame erupted at the end of his wand.
Smiling brightly, he extinguished it and looked over at Luke, happy to have him, if no other students, there to learn this.
