To the future! (The Doctor and his Assistant)

The Doctor was waiting in a rather unusual place. He was waiting on the summit of the mountain/volcando that over-looked Tokyo. He was going to show his 'Assistant' what would happen to Tokyo in the year 3000. He'd been there before and it was quite a sight after all.

Viktoria looked over at the portkey that she had ordered from the German Ministry, it would take her to Tokyo where she had been told to meet the Doctor, she was excited to meet him again but didn't know exactly what they were doing here.

"Okay, here goes."

Activating the portkey Viktoria but her lip and a moment later she squeaked as she landed on her face on the top of one of the mountains in Tokyo besides the pain in her face it looked like a beautiful place!

"Owie."

Viktoria stood up and she looked around, spotting the Doctor she wandered over to him brushing herself off and putting the portkey back in her pocket, waving hello she blushed a little bit before she regained her senses.

"Hello Doctor!"

The Doctor felt the magic in the air being distorted as an international portkey deposited Vikki on the ground beside him. He raised an eyebrow. Seemed as if she was not the most co-ordinated person in the world. He smiled in welcome,

"I gather that hurt." he shook his head a little, "Next time I'll be sure to side-long apparate you. So you don't hurt your pretty face on the mean ol' ground."

He waved back to her as he grinned happily,

"Hello my beautiful assistant!" he greeted her loudly, "Are you ready to see the future?"

Viktoria bit her lip and she wondered just why he was calling her pretty, she was pretty sure that her face had dust on it she waved her wand over her face to clean it before grinning softly and moving closer to The Doctor.

"Sorry, I just never used a portkey before so I didn't know what it would be like."

Flushing a little at get inexperience Viktoria moved closet to the Doctor and she smiled softly, a faint blush on her cheeks.

"Hello to you too Doctor, yes," she said breathlessly "I'm ready to go into the future with you."

Her sense of adventure and wrecklessness was taking over her senses and she began to think about different things that could happen while they were there together, maybe they'd meet someone famous! Or maybe they'd witness something amazing!

"This is going to be amazing, I'm so excited!!"

The way that Vikki was biting her lip seemed to make her lip seem fuller, if that were indeed possible. Of course The Doctor realised he probably shouldn't be thinking such impure thoughts about his fellow teacher and assistant but she was a very attractive woman after all,

"Well you'll get used to it!" he assured her happily, "After a few times you'll stop stumbling I should think. And don't worry, the TARDIS doesn't make you disorientated at all."

The Doctor smiled cheerfully at the expression on Vikki's face. She was really looking forward to their trip through time and he was too. He chuckled at her questions. Technically the person they were going to see in the future was famous, for a number of things, but he doubted it would be anyone he expected. He held the TARDIS out so that she could see it,

"Wrap one arm around me and with the other, hold onto the chain of the TARDIS." he instructed her with a grin, "We're going to see what Tokyo looks like... fifty years from now. Not only that but we're going to be visiting a friend."

Viktoria was glad that the TARDIS wouldn't have the same effects as the protkey had done, after all it was going to be happening a lot, so the Doctor said so it would be really great if she didn't feel sick while exploring new places, and times.

"I'm glad, but it's no less than I expected Doctor, I assumed you don't do things by halves." she smiled lightly

When the Doctor told her to wrap one arm around him Viktoria blushed, but did so cautiously, wrapping her arm around his waist and holding on tight, reaching a hand out to grasp the chain around his neck she smiled up at him.

"Okay then, that's done."

Biting her lip she waited nervously to go into the future, she didn't know what it would be like there, her heart was beating fast and she laughed softly.

"Don't keep me in suspense Doctor! Lets go lets go!!"

The Doctor laughed a little but he blushed a little bit as well. He was proud of his work to be sure but having someone else compliment it always made him blush. He rubbed the back of his head while chuckling a little,

"Well thanks Vikki..." he grinned, "The only half I did with the TARDIS was half a century! The longest trip I've ever been able to make."

Seeing that she trusted him enough to both wrap her arm around him and to hold onto the chain of the TARDIS, he smilled happily,

"Done like dinner!" he agreed happily, cheerfully adding a statement that he was sure didn't need to be said but he liked to show her how much it meant to him. He grinned at her,

"Oh but suspense is just so much fun..." he teased her before the TARDIS began to spin by itself, spinning much faster than a human could turn it, "And away we go!"

Bright blue light crackled at the TARDIS before there was a blinding flash of the same blue light, which caused them both to close their eyes. When they opened them again, the skyscrapers of Tokyo stretched up into the clouds and every house was coated with solar panels,

"Welcome to the future... 49 years into the future to be precise."

Viktoria grinned, even though she couldn't see it happening often she had been able to make the Doctor blush and she made a mental note to do it more often than she had been doing, a bit of personal revenge if it could be described as thus.

"You're quite welcome Doctor, wow, fifty whole years? The things you could see!"

With this Viktoria couldn't help but giggle lightly she wanted to just hurry up and be there but what the Doctor said made her eyebrow arch up and her laugh slightly louder as she looked at him as if he had three heads.

"Done as a dinner? Where did you get that saying from?" she asked jokingly

As the blue light entered and overpowered her senses Viktoria squeaked slightly but closed her eyes and when she opened them she was standing somewhere completely different to where she had been, it looked like a muggle film...yet so real.

Mouth agape Viktoria took a few steps and gasped.

"Were really here aren't we? Oh my...what are we doing?! Where are we going?! Can we try some ramen?!"

He noticed the look on her face and almost regretted how he'd worked so hard to make her blush so far. It meant that now that he'd blushed once, she would target what had made him blush and use it whenever he made her blush. Strangely the idea was not unpleasant at all to him,

"Yup... fifty years." he grinned a little before frowning a bit, "However after fifty years I've not tested it. The TARDIS could only be capable of 50 years for all I know."

The Doctor scratched the back of his head in a little bit of embaressment. He knew he shouldn't have used that phrase,

"I er..." he sighed a little, blushing a bit, "I got it from a man in the 1950s... nice guy. Talked too much perhaps."

He grinned widely as she reacted to being thrown through time to see the future. It was a wonderful experience to time travel but to see the joy it brought someone else was much, much better in his humble opinion,

"We're really here." he confirmed before chuckling a little, "We're going to a ramen bar just a little bit into the city actually. Going to meet someone there for dinner."

Viktoria smiled and shook her head, she knew that there would be no limit for the TARDIS because she was really sure that the Doctor's intelligence would make it do whatever he wanted it to do, and make him go whenever and whereever he wanted.

"I know that it'll be able to carry you further than that, maybe not now but if you develop it more then I'm sure it can go whenever you want."

Laughing slightly she bit her lip and tried to stop her shoulders from shaking with laughter.

"Yeah maybe phrases are one thing that you shouldn't take back from your trips in time?"

At the mention that they were indeed going to get proper ramen Viktoria squeaked happily and would have started jumping around if she didn't know what an ass she would be making of herself so she just grinned like an idiot.

"This is wonderful! Who are we going to meet?"

The Doctor was not being entirely truthful. He had tested the TARDIS out to 60 years and it had performed perfectly fine, albeit giving him a few bumbs in the time stream. But he wasn't really willing to test it out fully when it could be dangerous, especially when he had Vikki with him,

"Well..." he chuckled a little and shook his head with a grin, "They say don't fix what ain't broke so I think I'll leave it as is for now."

Seeing that she was restraining herself from laughing out loud, The Doctor stuck his tongue out at her,

"Oh laugh it up, laugh it up." he joked before rolling his eyes good naturedly, "Like you've got no silly sayings of your own."

The Doctor held the TARDIS out to Vikki again with a smile, waiting for her to grab hold of it,

"Well grab hold and I'll show you." he winked at her, "It's smoother than a portkey for sure."

Viktoria smiled softly, she knew that it was going to be something that he would do in the future, if not now, the reason why she knew is because Viktoria thought the Doctor was never the type of person to let things rest, not when they could be improved.

"For now, being the key phrase in that sentence." she grinned

A little shocked at seeing the Doctor stick his tongue out at her she gasped and stuck her tongue out right back, and as soon as she saw him roll his eyes, fold her arms good naturedly.

"Actually, I don't."

With an excited little squeak Viktoria took hold of the Doctor's hand as he said that they were going to see who now, she wondered who it would be, maybe a famous inventor, maybe the Doctor himself when hes older?!

"Let's boogie."

When she picked up on the last part of his sentance, something he'd said only for himself many times before, he grinned. Oh she was definately going to be a good assistant! She was already starting to get his mannerisms. He chuckled a little as he looked down at the TARDIS, his greatest creation. To date of course,

"Yes..." he whisper quietly, "For now."

He gasped at her gasp and then gasped again when she stuck her tongue out at him. Needless to say he was pretending to be very, very, shocked. The Doctor raised an eyebrow,

"Mmm..." he said, unconvinced before smirking, "We'll see if that doesn't change in time."

The Doctor took Vikki by the hand and lead her down the path. He grinned at her,

"Let's boogie?" he smirked, "You've got one."

After a few minutes walking in comfortable silence, the two of them reached a small wooden building. Opening the door for Vikki, The Doctor lead her inside a small restuarant,

"Best ramen place in town." he told her before gesturing at a corner booth, "In that booth is someone you know..."

The Doctor, an elderly version of The Doctor at least, stuck his head out from the booth,

"You're late!"

The Doctor, the younger one, rolled his eyes,

"And your watch is fast!"
