Lesson Four - First Years Empty Lesson Four - First Years

Post by Darcie Vane Mon May 28, 2012 9:49 pm

Darcie walked happily into her lesson, truth be told she was a little sad that she was leaving, after all she had seen many pupils in her class lately and she was getting more and more attached to them as the year had gone on, and it was hard to believe that it was now the last lesson of the year!

Pouting a little bit she sat down on the desk, and she carried a large bundle of sweets that she had with her, to give to the students, placing a chocolate dragon, much like the chocolate frogs, but in the shape of dragons, on each students desk she hoped they would like them.

On the board she wrote the lesson topic:

Palm Reading Introduction

Lesson Four - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - First Years

Christielle walked silently to the classroom, smiling to herself. Lessons were almost over, but then she heard that some instructors were going to leave. Slightly pouting, she walked to one of the seats and sat down.

"Guten morgen, lehrer Vane." Christielle smiled at the teacher. She was, so far, Christielle's favorite. She noticed a chocolate dragon on her desk, just like the one from the Dark Arts class. She grinned and put the chocolate inside her bag, saving it for later.

She read the words on the board. "Palm reading intro... finally." she thought, since they only used to study Tarot Cards.

Darcie smiled widely she could see that because it was the end of the year people were probably slacking off somewhere but she was glad that there seemed to be at least one consistent student in her class.

"Hello again, please enjoy your chocolate dragon while we get started, they're a little present for you, lucky you get two of them since you're taught by me twice." she said with a happy smile.

With a slightly lesser smile, she decided to start the lesson, and she tapped the board lightly;

"So can you tell me a little bit about palm reading, if you know anything already, if you don't then don't worry about it? You'll get some points for your house if you can."

Lesson Four - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - First Years

"Sorry I'm late again Professor. I am hurrying as fast as I can, just so many classes. Maybe I am taking too many, the problem is the distance between them is always too big. If I run, I get in trouble, so I have to do a brisk walk." Lars apologized to his professor as he sat down. Why did it have to be the same Professor he had been late for earlier in the day? Not a good impression he was making.

The worst part was, this was who he wanted to become apprenticed to. "Palm reading. I know that there are four main lines. The heart line, the fate line, the life line, and the head line I believe." He identified each as he talked to her. Starting with the lower of the two lines going east to west, then the line going north to south, further line from the thumb, then the line closer to the thumb going north to south, and finally the top line going east to west.

Christielle sighed, silently. At least the boy who answered was in the same House as hers. She looked back at Lehrer Vane, waiting for the thing she is about to say. She looked around the room. There was only 3 of them, including the Lehrer.

The same thing happened to her other classes, but it was fine as she had more space and less pressure.

Darcie looked up and she very rarely managed to glare at anyone, so when she did so at this new boy Lars, she almost wanted to punish herself for it right away, but it was so unfair of him to come in late and then take the question she had not even asked him to gain him some sort of glory.

"You are SO near to getting my first detention I've ever given Lars, you apologise to Christielle right now Mr.! I asked her the question not you and tha was very very rude!" Darcie frowned at him crossing her arms about her chest.

Sighing she turned to the now two students in her class and smiled; "Now there are different things to look at when doing palm reading, the fingers are very important, as you look at the shape, smoothness, length and the spaces between your fingers are looked at. Can someone tell me why that could pose a problem?"

Lesson Four - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - First Years

Lars returned after cleaning up the vomit, and attempted to get the taste of the sick out of his mouth. It still tasted faintly of it, but not half as bad as before. He felt relieved that he hadn't spewed it all over the floor.

"I'm sorry, Professor. It is a reflex, I will try not to interrupt in the future." Lars said, blushing a bit at being embarrassed in front of Christielle. She was just a friend, but he didn't want to come across as pompous. Seffi would probably start to realize he wasn't worth her time, anyways. It would be good to have Christielle as a friend, so when she realized how demented he was he had a fall-back plan.

Then he shut his mouth, and listened. One of the awkward things about his intellectual brain, was that he also talked to himself. In addition to coming across as a know-it-all, some people thought that made him crazy. Lars just used it to organize his thoughts, and it helped to think it through, as well as hear it audibly. The more senses that you could use, the better you would remember it. At least that had been his experience, and his memory never forgot anything. Mainly just, well, he wasn't really sure why he did it. Maybe because he'd never really had any friends, until now of course.

Christielle gulped. "I-it's okay, Lehrer Vane." she said, quietly, in the defence of Lars. He was her friend, after all. She carefully listened to the question. She forgot to study the past night, so she kept her mouth shut.

"Er..." she mumbled. She knew that Lehrer Vane would understand, though.
