Lesson Four - First Years

[Raven 'The Sweeney' Drake]

Raven had found herself flicking between emotions more and more the past few weeks, after all she had killed her son not a few days ago and it was something that she felt no remorse for whatsoever, it was something that she hoped that she was going to be able to control.

Sitting on the cieling, she looked down at the desks, her legs crossed and her hair was hanging down wondering if any of the students would wonder where she was, she hoped that the lesson would end soon, she needed to see Konig after all.

The lesson point was on the board;

'Swelling Solution.'

Christielle slightly groaned before entering the classroom. She didn't like the Potions lehrer much, since she coldly spoke to Christielle and the other boy just last lesson. Shrugging, she entered the room. The first thing she saw was hair. The exact color as the lehrer's.

She raised an eyebrow and looked up. She saw Lehrer Drake sitting on the ceiling. "Excuse..." she mumbled, but shook her head instead. She decided not to speak since the lehrer might get mad or something. On the other hand, she hoped that the lesson would end quickly.

Looking up at the board, she read their lesson for today.

Raven hopped down from the ceiling and she looked at the only girl in her class, she was the same one from last time and she was glad that she was still here whereas the boy seemed to have left, perhaps he was too scared of her.

With a small smirk on her lips, Raven turned and tapped the board with her silver finger topper the spike making a slight scraping noise as she touched it.

"Today you will be brewing a swelling solution. The method will appear here and you are to start immediately, ingredients are in the cupboard over there."

'3 puffafish eyes'
'4 snake scales'
'2 teaspoons of flobberworm pus'
'5 chopped asphodel roots'
'1 base potion'

'1. Add the base potion to a cauldron on medium heat.
'2. Ensure that the snake scales are added one at a time until the potion turned purple'
'3. Add the flobberworm pus and stir the potion for two minutes clockwise, then one minute anti-clockwise'
'4. Chop the asphodel roots small, as small as possible, then add them to the potion, wait until it turns a light pink.'
'5. Add the puffafish eyes one at a time.'
'6. Wait until the potion turns white. Then take off the heat and place in your vials.'

Christielle didn't smile at all, but nodded when Lehrer Drake told her to start immediately. She walked towards the cupboard, taking the first few ingredients [puffafish eyes and snake scales] and taking the other ingredients afterwards. She set them all down on her desk and took out her cauldron.

She carefully added the base potion to the cauldron, setting it to medium heat. She then read the instructions, putting the snake scales one by one afterwards. The potion slowly turned purple.

Christielle added the 2 tablespoons of flobberworm pus and stirred the potion clockwise for a while, and stirred it counter-clockwise after 2 minutes. After a minute, she chopped the asphodel roots into small pieces and added it to the potion. It turned into a light pink. She added the puffafish eyes one at a time, waiting for the potion to turn white.

A few minutes later, it turned into a lighter pink... then it turned into white. Christielle took of the heat and carefully placed them in her vials.
