Professor Nocte took a deep breath and grabbed a memory filled bottle. She threw at the mirror again. Then another one. The mirror shattered and replaced itself. She enchanted it that way so the students wouldn't know.

Closing her eyes to clam herself, she waited for her students to come and start class. Last one of the year.

Haley walked into the classroom and smiled at professor Nocte as she sat down. But no matter how the professor seemed to be all right, something seemed to be ... not so all right. However, Haley had a feeling it was none of her business, so she decided to leave it be.

She leaned back in her chair, clearing her mind instantly as she waited for the lesson to begin.

Professor Nocte opened her eyes when a student came in. She was disappointed that there was only one. Was her class bad or is it because the others didn't have time. But, she was happy at least someone came to her class.

"Hello, Ms. Smith," she greeted, getting up. "Since you're the only one right now, we'll start. Today you're going to try to get into my mind. Invade it and see how hard it would be and how hard you must work to be as good. Whenever you are ready, Ms. Smith."

Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson Empty Re: Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson

Post by Humphrey Williams Thu May 31, 2012 11:23 am

Humphrey arrived just as Professor Nocte and Haley were starting the lesson. He normally liked to be early for this class, but he had a lot on his mind at the moment. "Hello Professor, Haley, how are you doing? I take it we are going to be breaking into each other's mind from what I overheard on my way in. Is that correct?" he asked as he took a seat next to Haley.

While he waited for their response, he tried his best to calm his emotions. Focusing on the simple picture of Keiba's face, which he knew by heart, he let his mind focus on the details. The other emotions he had been dealing with before he came in faded away, and all he felt was a strong bond of friendship towards his first friend he had made here. A little bit of love as well, but that feeling he buried deep. She didn't want to date him, and it would just cause him to lose his control over the emotions within him. It would just cause him to get upset, angry, and hate himself for not being a good enough person to attract somebody as cool as Keiba's attention. In a more than friends type of way at least.

"I'm ready to join either with Haley, or try against you Professor. Either, or one and then the other is fine. Whatever you want to do Professor Nocte." he said.

Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson Empty Re: Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson

Time to use the Time Turner she thought.

She spun it twice and she moved back in time. She smiled satisfied she was early and walked into the classroom. She sat down beside Haley and hoped it wouldn't seem too weird that she was there on time and there out of no where.

Hearing the lesson, she closed her eyes and allowed herself to close her mind up. She knew that Haley knew her secret, but she hid it nonetheless not wanting a repeat of the situation. She simply stayed quiet waiting for more instructions.

Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson Empty Re: Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson

Post by Humphrey Williams Thu May 31, 2012 6:54 pm

Humphrey had suspected she had been using a time-turner like him, to get to her classes. He knew her schedule, and she had not been there a moment ago, he was one hundred percent sure of that. "Hey, Tess. You popped out of thin air, didn't you?" he said, implying that he knew something, but making a joke of it. His eyes told her they would discuss this later, in a more private setting.

"Good to see you, Tess. As always, you look extremely beautiful. I don't even want to know how much time it takes you to get ready in the morning. I mean, all girls spend more time getting ready than girls. Well, not all, but most. Still, every day you, and Haley here too, always look very pretty. Not to leave you out or anything Professor, but these girls are closer to my age, so I think about them more. You have a more professional look about you." Humphrey said, trying to compliment them all. They were all girls, and all beautiful girls, well, more like women now than girls.

Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson Empty Re: Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson

Post by Tess McCartney Fri Jun 01, 2012 7:46 am

Tess was a bit wide-eyed at his insinuation that she appeared out of thin air. She played it off, trying to be cool and she smirked slowly.

"Yes I'm quite fast" she said innocently enough.

But at his compliment, she felt her cheeks heating up, ignored it, and rolled her eyes. She looked towards Haley and raised her brow and turned to look at Humphrey and grinned.

"Thanks, but no I don't take long...I was just distracted with another class"

Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson Empty Re: Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson

Haley listened to professor Nocte and was about to rise and use the spell on her when Humphrey walked in. He rambled off as usual and Haley had to smile. It was kind of good to have him back. She then blinked as she saw Tess sitting beside her. She raised an eyebrow but then just shrugged it off.

"Hey Humphrey, Tess," she said, the last name with a more secretive manner, feeling that was very not necessary when Humphrey openly insinuated that Tess had appeared from thin air.

Haley then blinked as Humphrey rambled on about girls using much time and stuff, and the way he tried to row himself back to shore with bringing professor Nocte into it as well, not to mention that it was a bit freaky when he said he thought more about Tess and Haley than a professor, even though it did make sense.

"Thanks Humphrey," she said with a grin, "But I don't use time at all. Though sometimes I oversleep," she added innocently.

She then directed her attention to Tess' raised eyebrow and had to purse her lips not to burst out laughing. Then she looked at the professor.

"Professor, maybe I could pair up with Tess then?" she asked softly.

Professor Nocte smiled when Humphrey and Tess entered class late.

"Hello, Mr. Williams, Ms. McCartney," she said. "Since you two are here now, Ms. Smith, you can partner up with Ms. McCartney. Mr. Williams, you'll partner with me if you like. Would you like to attack me or I attack you? You of you can start any time you're ready."

"I prefer to defend normally. I have a good thing to focus on. Generally keeps most people out." he said, smiling. His barrier was his love for Keiba, and it was the most he had ever cared about anyone, hands down.

"I'm ready when you are. Give me your best shot." he said, thinking about every aspect of Keiba he loved. It was long, very long, list.

Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson Empty Re: Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson

Post by Alice Nocte Sat Jun 02, 2012 11:12 am

Professor Nocte just smiled, closed her eyes, and said nothing, using the spell. She pride herself for learning how to use it with out speaking a word.

Opening her eyes, she knew she was in. It was always easy for her to do that without a problem. All at once, memories and thoughts flew through and she saw everyone of them. All about Keiba. She did notice about their relationship. They do make a good couple.

Professor Nocte began to look around and wait.

Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson Empty Re: Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson

Humphrey knew she was in, and then narrowed his mind down to one image. Keiba with a smile on her face. He knew holding onto one thought would constrict his thoughts, and the other memories she would no longer have access to. Then, he imagined somebody hurting Keiba. Like the way he had done.

It made him so angry, and the anger had to be released somewhere. So, he started to battle the mind that was in his right now. Using it like he would swing a sword, he focused all his anger into a mental blow against Alice's mind. Maybe he could break in, and find a couple of her memories. It was a tall order, but he was angry enough, that he might just catch her off guard.

Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson Empty Re: Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson

Tess grinned bright at Haley as she laughed. What could she say, she wasn't necessarily lying now was she? She was excited to work with Haley after all she was good at this class.

"Good thing we partnered up, I was going to say dibs" she teased.

Getting up she stood a foot away waiting for Haley's attack. She tried to lock doors, that she didn't want opened, such as her personal life away from her friends. That was her business and no one else she figured. But locked a few ones less and less, for example how she got here.

"I'm ready" she said in a sing song manner to Haley.

Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson Empty Re: Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson

Haley nodded happily and rose to her feet. "I'll go first then," she said kindly.

She rose her wand and pointed it at Tess, taking a moment to concentrate on blocking her own mind if Tess was to manage to counterattack. She honestly didn't want Tess to see what was going on in Haley's head as most of her life now was about the loss of her parents. So she blocked her mind from sad things, and decided to let Tess see that she wasn't the only one who had an animalistic secret; Haley could turn into an eagle.

She then nodded her head, as if to say 'here I go'. "Legilimens," she said firmly and she was once again in that black place that was Tess' locked mind.

She started looking around, imagining hands in front of her. After a while, she found herself in a room of a thousand doors. She was a bit overwhelmed by the number, but hey, people had a lot of thoughts at once. She started by opening a door, but it only showed darkness. Haley smiled. Good way to protect their minds. Letting the doors be easy to open, but only darkness would show. Haley wondered if Tess knew she was doing that or not. She'd definitely try it. Disappointment might give a chance to counterattack should it happen outside of class.

After a lot of tries, she started to focus more, trying to find out which door had least protection. Suddenly a door shone a bit brighter than the others. She immediately raced to it to find out what was going on behind it before losing her chance. She looked in and saw a bizarre devise. She smirked. A time-turner. She saw Tess turning the time back and how she had arrived at the class before it started. Practical.

Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson Empty Re: Occlumency: 3rd Years: 4th Lesson

Post by Tess McCartney Mon Jun 04, 2012 10:56 am

Tess wrinkled her nose at the usual discomfort that came with Occlumency, but she tried to relax, letting Haley look into her mind and give her a peek towards a little secret of her own. She smirked subconsciously as she felt Haley knowing of her secret time turner.

Pushing her out, she blinked a few times trying to get her vision back to normal and ignoring the small spots.

"My turn alright?" she asked.

Seeing the nod she smiled and pointed her wand.

"Legilimens" she said.

Immediately she was pushed in, and she began to look around. For her this place looked like a maze, and she found a lot of dead ends, or doors being covered by walls. Her locks were stronger she noticed with an impressed expression.

Still, she noticed that there was one hall that lead her through the door that was unlocked. Pushing through, she noticed that Haley wasn't so different to herself. For one thing, she was an Animagus! She smiled brightly seeing the eagle. Well weren't they more similar than expected.

Feeling herself pushed back she blinked a few times and got back to normal grinning.
