Lesson One - Second Years Empty Lesson One - Second Years

Post by Richard Romain Tue Jun 12, 2012 5:24 am

Richard wandered lazily into his classroom, not particularly excited about having an entire new school year in which to be plagued by annoying little children. It got worse every year but thankfully his second years were going to be a little bit more mature.

Hopefully.

Maybe.

God, he just hoped they hadn't gotten stupid over the holidays.

Lesson One - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Second Years

Carly walked into the classroom surprised to see she was the first one to arrive. Walking to her usual desk by the window she was thinking about what she had done in the holidays and didnt look where she was walking.

Carly banged into the corner of a desk and her bag went flying out of her hands, spilling her books and parchment everywhere "shit" she said. Then looking up she saw Professor Romain, "oops, sorry professor" she said as she quickly went to pick everything up. Suddenly she sighed and muttered to herself "magic, duh" before pulling out her wand and tidying the mess up. She must have got stupid over the summer, forgetting she could use her magic now.

Senium was really looking forward to continuing her work with her master, transfiguration had been something she'd missed a lot during the summer. She'd seen Master Richard around a little bit and he'd taught her some but he had been very tired. Probably because of his newborn. She smiled brightly at him,

"Morning Professor!"

When the rest of the class was assembled, Richard stood up in front of the desk and clapped his hands a little bit, signifying that he was changing from light-hearted to teaching mode,

"Alright class, today is going to be a light lesson to get you back into the subject." he pointed at Senium with a smirk, "Miss Nex! What valuble metal cannot be made using transfiguration?"

Senium squeaked a little when Richard asked her the first question of course she knew it however being put under pressure of answering in class made her feel a little bit flushed and she placed a hand to her cheek before stuttering out;

"G-gold Master Richard?" she asked hoping that she was right, if she wasn't then she would look so stupid to her mentor, getting one of the fundamental facts about transfiguration wrong.

Richard grinned at his apprentice. Of course she knew that she was right already, he'd made sure to teach her this almost a year ago,

"Correct Senium! Ten points to Ravenclaw." he announced, "Gold does not react with traditional magic so it cannot be created by magic. Carly! Tell me, is there anything that can help someone to turn objects to gold?"

Carly was a bit startled at having been called upon, she hoped she had the right answer, "um... a philosophers stone?" she had read about one once, apparently at one time there had been one hidden in hogwarts.
