Lesson One - Third Years Empty Lesson One - Third Years

The Doctor was sat in the underground classroom, hidden underneath the standing stones, polishing the specialised time turner known as the TARDIS. As he was doing so, he reflected on the past years of teaching at Durmstrang and how rewarding it was.

Lesson One - Third Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Third Years

Annika skipped through the grass and flowers to get to Runes. It was always exciting, and the first class of a new year was her favorite. She was hoping that she would have at least one new student to work with this year. But if not that was okay too.

She slowed down as she approached the stairway to the underground class, took a deep breath and tried to think of happy thoughts as she slowly went down one step at a time. At the bottom she was happy to see the professor was already there. Smile At least she wouldn't be alone at all, that was her greatest fear.

"Hello Sir, I hope you had a good summer break. I am ever so glad to be back summers are too boring. What are we working on this year?"
Taking her seat Annika smiled and relaxed.

The Doctor raised a hand lazily,

"Yo." he replied before setting the TARDIS down on his desk and moving to the front of his desk, "Alright... today we're going to do something that I know the two of you will enjoy.... We're going to get tattoos."

He chuckled a little bit,

"But seriously, today we're going to be drawing runes and enscribing them on the body. Specifically, the knuckles today." he drew a run on the board that looked like a number 4 inside two circles, "This is a rune that can give you two different properties. We have to decide if you want to have a rune that will either make all of your fingers double jointed or the ability to make your hand movements twice as fast, useful for spellcasting. Well... decide guys!"

"I think it would be funny if they were double jointed, but not very practical. I vote for faster. I need all the help I can get. I'm not very good at spell casting. These will be really cool." Annika couldn't help but giggle at the doctor's enthusiasm, her really was kind of funny, but a good teacher anyway. Most adults she knew were way to serious.

She let her gaze fall on the thing on the desk he had been playing with when she came in. It was an interesting little box, and she had never seen anything like it before. But she didn't want to risk him thinking she was to snoopy so she didn't dare ask what it was.
